A lovely place to stay. Very welcoming on arrival and the room exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and comfortable and had all that I needed. It was also quiet. The location was absolutely perfect being just a couple of minutes walk from the railway station and about a minute or so into town. The bar service was friendly and helpful and the bar itself was really well appointed with a pleasant beer garden. The Rose & Crown cannot be faulted and I recommend it unreservedly.

The hotel was very pleasant and exceptionally clean, the staff were polite and very courteous. The rooms are very well decorated and maintained, the bed linen was clean and crisp.

Maybe a small TV in the room, as a family room sometimes children need a small distraction (away from an i-phone / i-pad). We didn't have any with us, but usually in the morning we like to watch the news. The family room should have an awareness of the steepness of the stairs going up to the bathroom, the treads are very short.

Beautiful building which looks recently refurbished throughout. Loads of character and a team of friendly staff. The food range was limited but very thoughtfully chosen, something for everyone catered for. The lunch food and breakfast were very, very, very good and exceeded expectations. Communications before the stay were great. Genuinely will come back. The room had loads of character, nice touches, and quality facilities. In addition, the bathroom was great, the shower was a pleasure to use, and the towels were really nice.

Literally the only downside was the bed size in the particular delux room being slightly too small for two. However, acknowledging the shape of the room, it would be difficult to get a bigger bed in there without compromising some of the thoughtful and useful touches.. Other rooms do advertise a large double bed and we have even decided the room we will choose next time!

The room was spacious and I am grateful to have been upgraded. The location was good and very convenient for the centre of the town. Front of house staff were friendly enough.

The breakfast was a bit meagre for the money paid because for that kind of money I would have expected a far wider choice. Little that can be done about it but it was unclear until I arrived that there was no parking and, therefore, it cost an 'arm and leg' to leave the car in one of the two public car parks nearby.

Can not pick a fault with the rose and crown it's nice comfortable friendly place to stay. It's my second year of staying here now. Both times have been for 2 nights, just a perfect location, easy to find, and parking opposite the venue and only 45 minutes away from goodwood races. I will book here again next year for when I go to goodwood . The pub has nice selection beers and a nice simple menu, and the food is amazing, just a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights.

I liked how comfortable and cozy my room was and the breakfast staff were lovely especially the first morning.

The macerator in the bathroom made an awful sound when flushing the toilet and when I ordered the fruit bowl for breakfast I was expecting freshly prepared fruit but got tinned fruit cubes that were very sour and sweet. I was very disappointed.

I liked the hotel very much. It was a very convenient location for me. The room was lovely, comfortable, and very clean. As a single room, it was quite small, but very nicely furnished and perfectly fine for a single guest. Check-in was quick, and all the staff were very welcoming and clearly explained the system for coming in after hours. Lovely! I certainly intend to return.

I can't really say I disliked anything

It was very clean, staff lovely, very pretty garden, breakfast was good.

We were in the Juliet which was quirky but the door into the room and inside the room were very low. I have a problem with bending due to back op so this was quite difficult. Hit my head 3 times all signed up but sometimes in the night you forget. But understand the property is just built this way. Did ask to move but was not possible. The pizzas were a bit bland could just do with a bit more.

Quirky rooms above the pub which is very near Godalming Station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would have no hesitation in recommending it. The only issue is that is a very old building and the stairs and access to the rooms is really not suitable for people with any mobility issues.

Nothing, apart from having to duck under the very low doors.

The Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is quirky, but the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. It was a very hot night, but there was a good fan in the room which helped. The breakfast has a continental style choice and was perfectly adequate for my needs. There was an option of a bacon roll, so even if continental doesn't float your boat, you can have something cooked. The hotel is a lovely old building in a very quaint town.
