Addison B&B was my final accommodation on a six week holiday throughout the United Kingdom. The room was superb with additions that I didn’t experience in any other accommodation including refrigerator, microwave, toaster and Smart TV (first time I got to watch BBC iPlayer). On top of this was the generous supply of complimentary biscuits, yoghurt, cheeses et al that were very welcome. The hosts Gina, John and Freddie were incredibly friendly and helpful and their wonderfully personable approach finished off my solo journey on a high note. To illustrate their kindness and generosity Gina assisted me in putting through a couple of loads of washing then a few hours later when a thunderstorm arrived rushed out to help me bring it in. The cooked breakfast tailored to the individual’s requirements was superb. To be able to sit outside in their lovely backyard with a pond and fruit trees after weeks inside rooms where you couldn’t even open the windows was an absolute joy. Next time you’re visiting beautiful Guildford, Surrey do yourself a favour and stay at Addison B&B. Magnificent.
All good.

Gina & John were very welcoming, kind hosts. The room was exactly as described and was perfect for my requirements - comfy bed, sumptuous pillows, convenient en-suite with the most luxurious towels I have ever used! The idea of providing a continental style breakfast in the room is a novel idea which I really liked a lot. The food and drink provided was varied and of excellent quality. It seemed to me that Gina and John had thought of every detail - even an easy password for the wifi!! If I'm in the Guildford area again I shall definitely rebook. Thank you G & J for your kindness.
Guildford is within commuting distance of London so the area is quite expensive. Addison Road is a difficult walk from the town for an old person. There are steep inclines to negotiate.

Lovely hosts. En-suite room was clean and comfortable, with double bed, bedside cabinets, small dining table & two chairs, dresser and television. Tea-making facilities were available, together with a small fridge containing fresh milk and items for a light breakfast (fruit juice, yoghourt, waffles and cheese). A sliced loaf of wholegrain bread and a selection of cereals also in room. Situated in a quiet street (no night disturbance) this B&B is perfectly positioned both for the city centre (approximately 20 minute walk) and Merrow Downs (about 15 minute walk to the start of a beautiful circular route) - a must see. We highly recommend this establishment.
Not so much a dislike, more an observation: the decor within the room was a little 'tired', eg some paint peeling from wall behind television. This in no way detracted from the enjoyment of our stay.

My bed was really comfy, and I had all I needed. For me, it's the little things that matter. The fact I could open my window and look out over a garden. I could listen to bird song in my room. The fridge allowed me to keep things cool, the microwave (a decent one) to warm things up. All my dietary needs were met above & beyond! The landlady & landlord were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. I even felt loved by their dog, a gentle spaniel (I think, who didn't molt dodginess) who I met outside :-) Due to having a physical disability & a hidden one too, it was so important to me to feel welcome, just the way I am. Many thanks Gina & John for all your thoughtful hospitality.... you enabled this Ozzie to feel right at home!!
Honestly.... I can't think of a thing.

It was good value for the money, shower was great and the room although small had everything you needed. The breakfast was an excellent Continental type with every ingredient provided in plenty! Had a great welcome from the owners.
Entry through the coded side gate was too fiddly. At night you needed two of you, one holding a torch and one operating the buttons. The entry through the garden was a bit messy with three different mats and a puddle which meant you couldn't get into your room with clean shoes.

Location is ideal, being a few minutes walk from the town and the downs. If using the train, London Road station is walking distance. Also buses to town centre close by. A superb room, very well designed with a wet room style bathroom. Breakfast was great including fresh products. Loved the separate entry arrangement with the key coded rear gate. Also, I thought the separate price for cleaning was very fair for guests, with just the one charge per stay. Gina and John are so welcoming and helpful - nothing too much trouble.
Nothing at all.

It was great having the continental breakfast provided in our room as we needed an early start the next day. We were not too far from the high street for dinner options and a walk around the castle. Gina offered us umbrellas as it was pouring with rain when we arrived and there was no nearby parking, thank you Gina!
Parking was very limited and it is best to check the parking restrictions. We couldn't park close by even to unload our bags and it was raining very heavily.

Hosts were agreeable and obliging, even let me boil eggs in their kitchen. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean and everything, including heating, worked well and was in good condition. Walking distance to town center and meadows. Great value for money. Fridge, microwave and kettle included.
My room seemed smaller than some of the rooms displayed on the main page of booking.com (but makes sense given the good price) so just make sure you know which room you're renting. Windows were also quite small and off to the side. Breakfast was mainly sweet, processed foods. Instant coffee.

Addison B&B was brilliant! This converted older home offered a room that was clean, well appointed, and had everything we needed for a great visit. The unit is accessible by a locked garden gate and each guest is given a room key to their respective rooms. Loved the little mini kitchenette stocked daily with milk, juice, bread, butter and jams, yogurt, cereal as well as biscuits. What a treat to not have to dress for breakfast and enjoy our meal in our pj’s! The table and chairs allowed us to have other meals in house as well. The room had plenty of lighting that we were able to control as we wished. All the linens and towels were wonderful and we loved the warm soaking tub, too. John & Gina were excellent hosts always asking after our comfort or if we needed anything. Since our bathroom was down the hall, they even gave us slippers to use and an amenity kit which is so thoughtful.
The location was great for getting into town quickly and is set in a neighborhood so we always felt we were coming home. The streets can be quite steep so if this is a concern, keep that in mind. Both the bedroom door and the bathroom door were a bit noisy and we tried to be as quiet as possible to avoid disturbing the other guests. Most people were kind realizing we had a bathroom down the shared hallway but alas some folks were just hateful and rudely expected us or the owners to have control over that. The garden is undergoing a transformation at present but for future guests it looks like it will be a lovely place to sit and read or have a drink.

Spacious room with a lovely view of the garden. Plentiful breakfast which we could have in our room when we wanted. Very friendly welcome. Relaxed vibes. Nice and clean. Perfectly located for Guildford town centre and GLive Theatre.
Sadly the shutters didn't work very well so the room was really light very early in the morning. A hook on the back of the door would be nice for hanging bags/coats. Didn't find the bed very comfortable.
