Excellent comfortable bed and very clean hotel.

Staff brought our main meals out before our starters and when we questioned this, they told us they had forgot our starters. They then brought them with our main meals, which was not ideal. Also they then forgot to bring one of the starters out after we corrected them. However, they were very pleasant and apologised.

The cleanliness of the room and communal areas and the spacious rooms. It's a lovely hotel.

I had a housekeeper and the front desk/manager? knock on my door before 11! My check out was not til 11 so I thought this a bit rude quite honestly! I'm not sure why they did. I think they may have been in a hurry to turn the room around for next people but it felt a bit off. The toilet roll holder also fell off the wall and I explained to the manager and just got an 'ok thanks' I have stayed before but trying to rush me element has put me off returning. Otherwise great hotel and location.

Easy to access, plenty of free parking (but remember to enter your registration number at the reception screen). Good changing rooms and swimming pool -open to swimmers and children at any time. Helpful staff in hotel and spa.

The Bar and restaurant was comfortable and nice staff. But the food was expensive for quite small portions. The kids menu also seemed pricey eg £5 humus starter, £4.50 for single scoop of ice cream. They had bottles but was surprised they didn’t have Hogsback beer from local brewery on tap?

Lovely hotel with a chilled out feel, loved the swimming pool, hot tub (instead of out of order jacuzzi), sauna and steam room and glad it was open till 8.30pm as we arrived later than expected. Beautiful sunset on the garden verandah. On a humid evening, we couldn't turn the room radiator off but did have a fan and was able to open the window to let fresh air in during the night. Able to walk 5 mins to local garage which had an Asda express (subway and greggs too but not open in evening). Good for those who just want wine, snacks or a meal deal in their hotel room! Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Easy check in/out but car parking system was a bit of a faff. Would stay again, thank you 😊

The property was very clean and the staff were lovely. It was very quiet. A place for couples and old people. My friend and I went for my birthday to just relax and chill. I did just that. I took a photo of our room (added) food was the best part! A Good English breakfast (we went early before others)

The sauna and steam room are tiny little boxes. Two at a time. The pool area was nicer. Tiling could do with a make over. Generally, pool area it looks like the picture online (added) could do with a refurbishment flooring. But it’s clean and simple.

The check-in was smoothly with a lovely receptionist. She explained where our room was, and luckily it was close to the spa facilities and the restaurant, but far away enough for it not to bother you (Room 113). There is plenty of parking on site, just don’t forget to register at the reception for the amount of days you’re staying (2 nights, is 3 days parking). The room itself was quite large with a sofa, double bed, desk, flatscreen tv (with streaming services!), ironing board and iron, hairdryer, coffee/tea making facilities and a safe (a tiny one). The bathroom came with a bath and a large rain shower as well. All was very clean. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were clean and not overfilled at the times we were there. It’s easy enough to get a towel at the desk and they also give a padlock (or 2x if you need them) for exchange of the room key. The restaurant is nice and the food was good as well (we had dinner here twice). The cocktails are also pretty good! The breakfast served was a buffet style and had almost everything you need in the morning (full breakfast included). There are lots of hiking routes from the hotel and you can be out all day if you want! We did a 10km walk and ended back at the Manor Farm Tea Room, which does a great lunch and afternoon tea. They also have a small craft shop next door, which is filled with handmade crafts.

We were missing a toilet brush in our bathroom! The restaurant lacks a bit of an atmosphere, candles on the tables would already make a big difference. The breakfast buffet could do with some sliced cheese and cold meats. There were pizza boxes left outside a room, which were there for quite a while during the day, until they were finally removed. They were attracting flies, which wasn’t very nice. The showers in the pool could do with an ice cold one, for when you come out of the sauna or steam room. The temperature of the pool was slightly too high, but that’s personal preference. Pool times in the weekend should be longer, as more people are staying in weekends, and it would be nice to be able to use the pool after dinner.

Absolutely fantastic stay, the food was great, the staffed helped with my wife's allergy needs for our evening meals, the breakfast had so much choice & tasty. The room was clean, spacious & comfortable. The pool was lovely along with sauna & steam room. The staff were all lovely & helpful. Great garden outside & watched the sun go down with a drink each evening we stayed. A brilliant hotel & we will be staying again as soon as we cam.

There wasn't anything we didn't like...however what would be a really good addition to the pool change rooms is a drier for swimming costumes & shorts. Many people seem to hang them out of windows or over the shower rail but you can half dry things with a costume dryer which some other facilities have...just a thought.

Leisure facilities were good, we enjoyed using them as part of the price we paid. The waitress who was working the breakfast was really knowledgeable about allergens about knew straight away what I couldn’t eat, and offered to plate me a breakfast up in the kitchen away from the buffet to avoid cross-contamination. Bed was comfy, room was nice overall with everything we needed included.

Our room was based somewhere on top of the spa facilitates so was had some noisy ventilation/heating systems right out side our window meaning we couldn’t have it open. It’s July so it did get quite warm and we were too hot.

Easy check in, plenty of parking (free), room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was great, fantastic range of choices, from continental, fruit and pastries to a cooked breakfast. Facilities was good nice size pool and jacuzzi. Bar was good serving good range of drinks and bar food.

Sauna not working this time and the door also needs fixing and the gymnasium needs a little cleaning, wiping down the skirting boards and a hoover. Bar area lighting was too dark, trying to relax with a book or playing a little card game was a little difficult to see.

We chose to stay here for a weekend away without driving too far. The hotel is in good condition, very clean and tidy and things in good order. Breakfast was great - plenty to eat. We ate at the bar one night - food was good and prices very fair. The spa and fitness centre was a delightful surprise. We had not been able t get through to book a massage in advance and were lucky to get last remaining slots. The massages were excellent and well priced. The fitness centre was well equipped and not too busy and the pool/jucuzzi/sauna/steam room areas were very clean and in good order and wonderfully relaxing, and at no extra cost. A very nice weekend.

We had hoped for slightly better views over the countryside... but you can't have everything. The wi-fi was not great, manageable, but we were there to relax.
