Friendly and helpful staff... from management, through breakfast/restaurant staff, and everyone in house keeping. Location was fabulous for us, as it's across from Haslemere railway (but not noisy), so convenient to get around by train. Also, only a short walk to Haslemere shops (including Waitrose supermarket), and Shottermill (including Tesco supermarket). There's an Esso garage just up the road if having a hire car (as we did last year). Harper's Haslemere also have 2 for GBP16 all-day breakfast Mon-Sat, which we took advantage of most days, and the staff were happy to adjust meals to suit wishes. Rooms have a decent-sized smart TV (about 42 inch), and we were able to log in to Netflix... though as our rooms have been large, the TV seems too far away! Bed was king-size and very comfortable, with bedside tables both sides, and a convenient shelf above the bedhead with powerpoints and a USB charging outlet. We stayed here with my brother last Sept (2024), resulting in staying again Aug 2025 with my wife. Rooms since/now have mini-fridges (or more so: micro-fridges!). Whilst these are a good addition, we found they didn't get cold enough to store milk much more than about 3 days. AUD to GBP exchange rate! Airfreshners in our room seemed to be responsible for an allergic reaction everytime we returned to the room... so we unplugged it (and eventually put a note on it to prevent it being switched back on... looked up to find manufacturer also states to turn off at night) Shower was fine for my wife, but only just hot enough for me (I like hot showers!). Would prefer a normal size mini-fridge, and would really like a microwave oven... either in room, or at least one to be available for guests' use. Would also be good to have a toilet brush in ensuite. I wrote a very favourable review last year... but it disappeared!

The whole property including public toilet facilities were highly maintained. Great sun terraces. Great rooms, air conditioned, maintained daily. Small fridge stocked with water and free Milk for your hot drinks. Well stocked tea and coffee caddie. Kettle and coffee machine. Restaurant food and table services exceptional. Incredible attentiveness from the dedicated table service staff. Well done Anya, Sam and a couple of others who assisted with our party size (We gave additional tips on top of service charge to those guys who made that experience for us, a great one). My personal recommendation for food try the trout and Rack of ribs. Delicious since I have never tried these before. Oh forgot to say. This is a dog friendly property but you wouldn’t know that when walking through the building, corridors or rooms. Friendly but professional staff. There are 1 or 2 vegetarian/vegan options on a menu that is predominantly meaty - it's a steakhouse. I had a nice roasted aubergine main course although it was pretty much carb free. Comfortable bed. Room was very spacious and it was nice to have the little expresso machine. Fresh milk in the fridge was also a nice touch. Plenty of room in carpark - just remember to enter your registration number. Just opposite station from those without their own transport.

On a steepish slope so some areas might be difficult to access with mobility problems. The noisy bathroom extractor fan stays on for a long time after light is switched off in there. Some attention needed to sticky patio doors and shower door.

Loved having mini fridge and daily fresh milk in room. Staff were always very friendly and helpful. Great location and food very good but some choices rather expensive and small helpings.

Annoying and quite loud musak at breakfast. Bedside lamp flickered and think faulty so relied on main lighting. Expensive for solo traveller as no single rooms. Breakfast was not included and I was charged various prices when adding in to stay. Breakfast policy not clear, if continental buffet included when choosing from menu if not meal not inclusive in stay.

we had a race track day booked at dunsfold aerodrome so needed accommodation the night before. i found Harpers on booking.com to have all the facilities we wanted and a price i could afford. it was the cheapest i could find but well exceeded all my expectations! beautiful restaurant, lovely food and the staff were very friendly and super attentive, particularly Ruben. our room was lovely with everything we needed. all fine details were there that you would expect from from a high end expensive hotel. my only disappointment was that we were only staying one night!! i would definitely recommend and would definitely return! thank you

Staff were friendly check in and check out was excellent service in bar was good and food and breakfast was good. In the evening we went out for dinner but noticed when we came back for drinks every plate went back clean! Also breakfast was great value and really good!

Not sure we got the best breakfast deal booking in advance. Obtaine a direct phone number to call as was significantly cheaper to book on booking.com than direct. I will be attending your hotel a lot as my son has moved very close by. Would ideally like to negotiate a regular rate for our family and friends but obviously understand and peak holidays may need to be more expensive. Thanks

The room is described as cosy....it's small so I wouldn't advise staying in this room if you have a large dog for instance. In my opinion, the bathroom floor needs changing.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The whole premises appeared well kept and in good condition. The rooms were a decent size and the beds were comfy. We particularly liked the little extra touches like a small bottle of fresh milk for teas and coffee in the room. Location is very convenient opposite the railway station and a short walk from the high Street.

Fire door and step between our two rooms was a little annoying but not a deal breaker. Shower was a little on the small side

The venue is well located, close to the main railway station. The room was comfortable, well appointed, nice selection of tea/coffee, even hot chocolate and biscuits. I thought the room would be noisy close to the main road, however it was remarkably quiet. The breakfast was great value for money and very well cooked with good produce used. We had dinner on the first evening and the food and drink was really good with some great choice options.

We were in a room with an interleading door to another room which would work well if you were a family and needed two rooms. One felt that one did not have full privacy as we could hear the other occupants and they could hear us I am sure.

I was very impressed by the pleasant and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable, however, I found the television was difficult to operate. The bed was very comfortable and it was possible to hang up my outfit on the limited area for clothing.

Unfortunately the food was not too good. I had asked for a starter which was missed, I requested the prawn cocktail again but already had fish and chips. The prawn cocktail was quite strange and not very palatable.
