The whole atmosphere was fabulous, the staff were fantastic and wonderful surroundings. The pub was beautiful and loved the wood fireplace, that was great for a cold evening. Was impressed by the staff as we had arrived after luch kitchen closer, they were kind enough to make us quick sandwiches, which went down well with my son. Stayed over with my son for the night,and had car issues the next day, everyone was soo kind, they had even offered to jump start my car, which was touching and thoughtful. The car couldnt be picked up on that Sunday, left the car and key at the pub for the tow truck company, the car was collected the following day, thanks. Thank you everyone, our stay will remain positively memorable, for the kindness and your thoughtfulness. l appreciated it! We HIGHLY recommend Withies

There is nothing not to like, its a fantastic place!

It was clean, had good facilities, the staff were friendly and the food at the pub was very good. The rooms were clean, well decorated and well maintained. The pub is located just outside of Godalming and a short drive to Guildford with access to lots of good walks

Only minor things. The walls were quite thin and unfortunately we could hear the people in the room next to us snoring all night… the big curtain also didn’t come all the way across so it let a fair bit of light in in the morning. But as mentioned those were only minor things

We loved this old, traditional inn and wished that we were staying for longer. Our room was comfortable, clean and peaceful. The owner and staff were very friendly and gave us personal attention and help over and above our expectations. The location was lovely and interesting and we would have liked to explore it further. Equally, we would have liked to stay for Sunday lunch but were otherwise engaged. However, we were able to enjoy a hearty and generous breakfast before we left. Given the quality of our stay, it seems immaterial to mention that this was extremely good value for money. We are hoping to go back for a longer visit!

Beautiful old 16th century coaching in, with lovely gardens. Inside the pub it’s dark, with wooden beams, open fire grate etc as in keeping with a very old pub in a stable type structure. The accommodation is a separate addition at the rear. The rooms in something which resembles a modern stable block. They are clean, compact but well appointed and surprisingly quiet…we were unaffected by noise from patrons in the garden.

The female serving staff were not overly friendly or welcoming on arrival or at breakfast presenting as somewhat perfunctory in their manner. The price of a pint of Stella and a single gin and tonic was over £16! Somewhat steep and when queried we were told this is an expensive area!

We had a wonderful stay at the Withies Inn. Our room was small (Pines) but had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The Inn itself was 16th century and very homely, with a open fire and thankfully not over modernised so very much in keeping with the century. We had a fantastic meal in the evening and a lovely breakfast. We would definitely recommend and would love to return.

Only one point we would make is the shower floor is very slippery so maybe the addition of a mat would be helpful.

Beautiful place in a lovely location. The staff were very helpful and polite and really couldn't do enough for you. The room itself (Willows) was beautiful, modern, and immaculately clean. This is an ideal place to stay, and I will definitely be back! The breakfast was incredible, so much delicious food it was impossible to consume it all. Incredibly good value for money!!

There was NOTHING I didn't like! It's definitely one of my favourite places to visit again!!

As well as the delicious breakfast, we ate our evening meal in the pub too ... the food was excellent. The room was very well appointed: the bed was very comfy, the free tea, coffee, water and biscuits were appreciated and the bathroom products were delightful. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast could have been served on a warmed plate. Suspect the pub gets very busy in the summer so noise might then be an issue for staying guests (???)

Very quite location with stunning views, meals available on site, accommodation clean and comfortable with everything provided from shower gel to tea and coffee.

Thought that the food pricing was a little high, portions were large to justify it but would have preferred lower prices and smaller portions. Breakfast was ok - but was clear that the sausages had been reheated as they were quite hard and chewy

This 16th century inn was at a perfect location, the property has a lot of character and it was great to spend two nights here. Our room was outstanding with a really comfy bed and a fabulous shower, the room was finished to a really high standard. The full English breakfast was excellent with fresh produce and lovely coffee, staff really friendly and helpful , a really nice bar/restaurant with a great selection of beers and ales

The room we were given was up an outside flight of stairs and had a small balcony, unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough for us to sit outside but I would think it would be lovely in the summer months. Sadly the fan and towel rails in the bathroom weren't working but we were told they were aware of the problem and hopefully it is all sorted out now.

A slightly better light on the outside staircase might have been helpful
