The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and plenty of space. Really loved the message written on the mirror and the 2 compartment waste bins with a side for general rubbish and a side for recycling

Although the restaurant was very nice and the staff were very friendly and attentive, as a vegan, there were really no options for dinner. The spicy bean burger was labelled VG which means it should be vegan but the lady serving me checked and it contained egg yolk! Please change this on the menu as I would have been very upset if I had eaten it without checking.

The location was near where we needed to go. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping was at a 5 star service level - prompt and fast. The breakfast was very good - real English breakfast and more. Value for money. The property has very good air conditioning services. The property has also a health club facility attached to it. The staff were very professional - well trained and has the Holiday Inn image.

The location of the property from public transport takes some walking to. The property does not accept cash payment - should inform customers prior to check in.

I loved the staff they were so helpful and caring, we were upgraded for free. Which I really appreciate so much. My massage was amazing however I recommend 50 mins to an hour. Half an hour isn't worth the price.

I didn't the food, this is my second time I came for my birthday and I was very disappointed to see the menu was exactly the same food every single day. I booked one day through booking.com and one day through spabreaks.com so I was very upset to see that the meals were the same as two years ago. I would suggest the menu be changed especially for those staying a week. Its not fair to have to choose from the same exact menu everyday. That is my only issue. I would come back but because of the food I wouldn't recommend including food. In future I will only book bed and breakfast. However bed and breakfast WAS AMAZING!!

We arrived early (well before official check in time) and the room was ready for us. The room was clean, the room had tea, coffee, sugar, milk etc. The beds was comfy, the pillows nice, the shower was hot and powerful. The view from the window wasn't very exiting. The rooms could do with a lick of paint and some updating. The reception, bar area was spotless and pretty modern. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff even cooked my wife a gluten free breakfast. All in all, a very pleasant stay and we will return when we are in the area again

My only gripe and it is a small gripe. The room needed updating to the standard of the reception and bar area.

Room was large enough and we asked for extra pillows, which were delivered promptly. We greatly enjoyed the steam room and the jacuzzi also the good size swimming pool. There was a large television although Netflix wasn’t free to use, which we thought strange. We requested a fridge in the room which we were given. The royal Surrey hospital was only a 15 minute walk, which was the main purpose for our visit. Also we enjoyed a pleasant walk in the Surrey park the first evening,altogether a good trip and would not hesitate to recommend this Holiday Inn.

Free Netflix would be better although everything else was very good

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Guildford solely for its convenient location close to the university as we were attending a morning graduation ceremony and needed to be on campus promptly . We therefore had quite low expectations of the hotel. These were exceeded. When we arrived we were checked in efficiently and plesantly . Our three standard rooms were spotless and had everything that we needed ( tea and coffee making, iron , good king sized bed) . Then we discovered that there was a pleasant courtyard where we had drinks in the late afternoon. In the morning we ordered room service continental breakfast which was served promptly and was a decent meal with good portions . All in all we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of this hotel.

Nice clean room, and lovely comfy bed, Restaurant was excellent, great food and really good service spa area was good, friendly helpful staff, all nice and clean. Pool area was good, used pool, sauna, steam and jakuzzi, all very good - though I was confused about the natural light club, is that just an outside thing?

Minor point, but the botton two rows of grouting around the bath were a bit grubby, and under the rim of the loo was a little grey - only visible when laying in the bath. A surprise to be charged for the car park - £9 from arrival - around 6pm to checkout at 11.30am - have stayed before and it was free - bit cheeky I think, as no alternative parking available nearby - so basically paying more to stay I left a coat in the wardrobe accidently, it was found eventually (24 hrs later) but hadnt been logged in lost property so caused a little bit of worry for me, though was sorted so all OK in the end

The warm welcome and the thoughtfulness of all members of staff that I was attended by and had a meal problem dealt with without any fuss. My room was really nice with a lovely view. I had a really good night's sleep , and also alarm cords in both bedroom and bathroom.

The fact that the shower was over the bath and as someone with a disability a shower in a cubicle would have been better. With the result I had difficulty in washing. Going for breakfast and being advised that my room number was not on list, when it should have been as it was included in my booking.

We liked the room, it was very clean and comfortable, very nice shower with a safety grab rail. The bed was very good and the choices for breakfast were similar to what we would expect on a cruise liner. After we booked out, we stayed for lunch and invited 2 family members, who lived nearby, to join us. The food and waiter service were excellent.

The only place to park the car and unload luggage was double yellow lined (outside of reception). Being elderly, I had no option but to park there unload, leaving my wife with the luggage whilst I parked the car. Guests would benefit from unloading / loading bays near the entrance. We had trouble paying for the parking - we tried 3 times at the meter outside reception and each time the card was rejected. I went to reception and was advised to scan the QR code, which I did and even with the help of the receptionist, it didn't work on my iPhone. We even logged onto the guest wifi which made no difference. We went outside again, tried once more, and this time the card was accepted. We would suggest that a shelter be provided for people using the meter.

Spacious parking, easy to use parking pay machine. Beautiful reception with a fireplace and spacious area for seating, welcomed by lovely staff, place looked very luxurious. Our room was lovely, quiet, clean, fantastic shower, our beds were very comfortable, excellent housekeeping quality and room service. The cleaning staff are quiet and respectful. The meals were exceptional, high quality and served with respect and a friendly manner. The heated pool was wonderful. The whole place has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Every staff member went out their way to be helpful, friendly and pleasant. I will most definitely use this Holiday Inn again!
