Dog friendly, seating area to watch t.v,lovely shower, fridge,coffee pod machine,complimentary milk and orange juice, pub in the garden and plenty of car parking places 😀. Very friendly staff and it felt like we were in 1940's England.

The sky light blind took over half an hour to get down as it is high up in the ceiling and the pole that was provided was good for opening and closing the sky light window but had nothing on the end to pull the blind down, will be asking the staff to do it before we arrive next time we visit. I only knew there was a blind as I had read reviews complaining about no blinds and the owner writing back saying there are blinds, it is not that obvious on the skylight and it is harder then being at the fairground trying to hook a duck.

Really helpful staff. I was going to be arriving late, so they kindly arranged for a very quick and hassle free check in that allowed me to go straight to my room which was very helpful as the restaurant, etc. had closed by the time i arrived.

The room is great, bed is comfortable enough and for the price this place is incredible value for money (for the area especially). the only issue i had (and it's so easy to fix) is that the room has a massive sky-light window almost directly above the bed - which has no sort of screen / shade or blind ? i had time for a small lie in, however the bright sunshine coming through the skylight had me wide awake before 6am and wasn't ideal.

The room was of a good size and clean and quiet . There were decent mirrors provided . Beds were comfortable . The young member of staff who showed us to our room was very polite . The parking could not have been closer to the door . It’s a beautiful area .

I have fitted Velux windows and the use of a long pole to open/close these windows was near impossible . You could push the window shut but to lock it was not possible for fear of breaking the pole . This meant one had to sleep and go out with unlocked windows . The front door lock needed adjustment , again I have fitted thousands of doors and have designed locks so I know how simply this could have been done . There was not a hair dryer , something most would expect these days . I don’t think many people would choose a continental breakfast but what was supplied was a good selection . We were not expecting two separate beds .

Walking the South Downs Way we booked this accommodation after our original pub cancelled on us due to having to close for personal issues that week. The apartment was ideal for our needs (myself and two teenage boys) although a bit far off the trail so not ideal for the South Downs Way hike. Arriving late after a very long day hiking we ordered some drinks that the owner kindly gave us on the house. Having booked dinner in Midhurst some two miles away we then tried to get a cab there but none were available at a reasonable price as it was bank holiday Monday. The owner again came to the rescue and arranged for a friend to give us a lift into town and then to pick us up after dinner. He also then dropped us back on the trail the next day. The hamper breakfast also suited our needs best well for the next morning.

We were very pleased with our stay. The village is just a five-minute drive from Midhurst, and the riverside walks in the surrounding area are truly outstanding. The two-bedroom apartment was comfortable and well-equipped, with an en-suite studio downstairs for us and another en-suite bedroom upstairs for the children. Everything felt fresh and newly furnished. We appreciated the thoughtful coffee and tea facilities in the living room, complete with biscuits. The mini fridge was stocked with orange juice, milk, and yoghurts, and the air cooler helped keep the space comfortable during a particularly warm week. On arrival, we were delighted to find a generous breakfast picnic box with plenty of food for all of us.

The only thing to note is that the Booking.com listing describes it as a two-bedroom apartment, which led us to assume it included a kitchen, so we brought a few things for cooking. In reality, there is no kitchen, just two en-suite bedrooms, one of which is more like a studio with a lovely living area. That said, with the picnic basket and the items in the mini fridge, we ultimately didn’t find the lack of a kitchen to be an issue!

Clean. Welcoming. Home from home. Private. Great breakfast and room facilities. Hairdryer provided. Lots of hangers. Netflix on the tv and free wifi with good connection. Proper coffee machine, juice and water in the fridge upon arrival. Clean and good size towels provided. Super comfy pillows and 2 per person which is great!!! Fantastic temperature control. Was lovely and warm when I arrived

Skylight couldn’t be closed so woke up very early as light flooded the room. There was no body wash in the shower. Check in and how to get breakfast was unclear. No phone in the room and no mobile reception.

Did not have their breakfast. Took own porridge pots. Very quiet , buses passed through but not many a day, . Very good walking from pub. .Midhurst, West Dean Gardens and Petersfield all visited. Excellent. Pub itself pleasant.

There for five nights, until we actually got into bed, did not realise how thin the duvet was. No spare blanket for our use in spite of excellent shelves, drawers, hanging space. 3 coat hangers each only. No mat for slippery shower floor or safety grab handle fitted. Shower Mat requested the first morning which made a world of difference. Also, there for five nights, room was not “ serviced “ daily. Surprised about that for what it cost us.

I loved the location, the size of the room and facilities, lots of quiet dog walks literally from outside the door. The pub was very close to Midhurst and other very pretty villages so eating out was not a problem, just a shame that I would have occasionally eaten in the pub restaurant but it only served Thai food which I enjoy but not every day. Staff were very friendly and helpful I shall definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.

I (and the staff) couldn't turn down the heating so I ended up having to open windows as the room was too hot. The pub only served Thai food which I enjoy but not every night so I ended up bringing takeaways back from Midhurst.

Impossible to get a taxi to and from the wedding venue Public pathway next to the room so we had loud people walking past our room windows at 8am. Bed was quite hard to sleep on No outdoor seating outside our room but every other room had this.

Lovely bathtub, really nice continental breakfast and very friendly, accommodating staff. Would definitely recommend!

If you don't have a car definitely book cabs in advance if you need them. It was tricky to get around. Also we booked for two couples and the apartment with a second floor to accommodate four people doesn't actually separate the two rooms with a door, only the stairs...so it's not the best for privacy in that sense. We didn't mind but others might prefer a bit more privacy/separation/noise-proofing between the two double rooms :p We really liked it overall though, great facilities, very clean and comfy and the staff were amazing, super helpful especially when we couldn't get a taxi!
