The room was small but spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also immaculately clean and had a good shower. The breakfast was very good and served on hot plates! Yvonne was lovely and her attention to detail in the cleanliness of the room was exceptional.

As the pub is on a main road we expected a bit of traffic noise but it wasn’t too bad during the night. As it was hot we had to have the room windows open and there was a fan or extractor for the kitchen below which was quite noisy and cut in and out all night. I don’t think this would be such a problem if the windows were shut. A more efficient fan in the room would help.

The staff were mostly very helpful. The room we stayed in is large and modern, with plenty of light. The bathroom is modern too. It was warm and we had a standing fan, which was helpful. The bed was wide, plenty of room. The restaurant had a variety of options for dinner. Breakfast was also nice, with many options for cooked breakfast, including vegetarians. Staff at the restaurant were very kind.

The location is on a busy road. While this did not meant too much noise while we were in the room, it meant we were far to walk to Petersfield. We stopped there while walking the South Downs Way, and had an uber take it to the trail.

We travel with a dog so sometimes accommodation can be difficult to find. For a one night stopover, the location was excellent (we had to get the early boat from Portsmouth), and there was no extra charge for the dog. We arrived late but they still served us dinner (Steak and Ale pie with mustard mash, which was delicious) and we didn't feel rushed at all. The breakfast (which was included) was absolutely superb, I had poached eggs and avocado and the eggs were perfect!! The staff knew we had to leave early but still served provided outstanding hospitality and food. The room…. OK so its not The Ritz! however the beds were clean and comfortable and the shower facilities, adequate. There was also an underlying bathroom smell BUT I would not hesitate staying there again and the staff are all doing an excellent job!! Well Done!!!

A very well cooked and presented breakfast with perfect poached eggs served by the cheery, friendly housekeeper. (Yvonne?) The well sized room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and well equipped with good bedlinen and fluffy towels and all the little extras. Only had dinner one night but it was most enjoyable and the different dishes we sampled were all delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Felt most comfortable as a single elderly woman guest .

The back entrance used by quests does not give a good impression and really needs improving. I suggest the doors to the kitchen and laundry cupboard are left closed as that too does not create a good image as a guest has to walk past both to reach the dining area. Wifi a bit "iffy" at times.

Well located for an overnight stopover with easy access to the A3 and Petersfield Heath/Centre. Nice Room overlooking the Garden. Dog enjoyed the walks around the Heath. Had an afternoon drink in the Queens Head in Sheet Village which was also popular with locals. Returned to the Half Moon for a snack in the garden (Chilli Nachos sharing platter) which was well prepared and presented, left the following morning after breakfast to continue our journey to the New Forest.

We stayed here during a cycling trip. The staff were fantastic, really helpful. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Good tea and coffee make Ng facilities and a very good shower. The beds were very comfortable. We were there on a very hot night and the fan provided was really effective at cooling the room.. there was a really good choice for breakfast, and everything was well cooked and well presented. We appreciated the good bicycle storage facilities. A perfect location for us, in a pretty village, a well kept and attractive property. Highly recommended for a night or longer.

Not having a chance to try the evening menu which looked great, but we were moving on.

Good selection on breakfast menu and food nicely presented and tasty. Service prompt and staff friendly and helpful. Restuarant on premises fort an evewning meal. Comfortable clean room with excellent shower.

Slightly noisy because windows were open due to hot weather, as above kitchen area and busy road relatively close but did not affect comfort and service received

Great location for exploring the South Downs. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really nice. We also had dinner there and the food was really good. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The lady who did our breakfast was very nice and lovely to chat with. Nice large beer garden too and plenty of parking on site. Very dog friendly too. Would recommend.

We were greeted upon arrival by the friendly, polite and very helpful members of staff. Nothing was too much trouble to them. Colin and his team provided delicious, freshly cooked food to a very high standard. It's a great location with lots of places to explore nearby. Will definitely visit again and would certainly recommend it. Thank you to everyone for making our stay special 😊

Nothing - only wish the weather had been better for us to sit in the lovely garden!

The location was ideal for personal reasons but, that said, if you are looking for a hotel as a starting point for walks then this could be for you. The staff were very attentive and I would again like to say thank you for the quick response to a tricky situation we faced. And as an avid fan of the "full English breakfast", I was not disappointed.
