A great place to stay! Very welcoming. Room was clean and tidy with fresh fluffy towels every day, crisp bedlinen. Tea, coffee, hairdryer, toiletries. Breakfast had a good choice of food, hot bacon and egg pastries, sweet pastries, croissants, fresh fruit salad, cereal, porridge, yoghurts, toast, ham cheese, choice of fruit juices, tea, coffee. If anything had run out, just had to ask and more was laid out. Staff genuinely friendly and attentive. Pub has a lovely atmosphere in the evenings, good food, spacious outside seating area. Close to Priory park, shops, public transport, an easy stroll to the cathedral. Will definitely stay here again.
Paintwork could do with a freshen up but still fine. A dip/hole in the floor just inside our room door, takes you unawares, needs repair.

The staff were actually really friendly and personable and showed us up to our room explaining everything clearly. The bed was actually really comfortable and we slept well. The room was very clean and nice that it had a kettle and included oat milk sachets and decaf coffee... not many places have this extra touch. I probably had low expectations as it was a relatively good price and my small budget doesn't usually allow for pleasant surprises, but nonetheless, my expectations were exceeded. Also, was so nice to have breakfast included in the price. Hasn't happened to me in a long time. There were lots of items to choose from like cereal, toast, pastries, fruit, bagels... lap of luxury for me.
A blackout blind could be helpful as it was very light in the room from about 5am, but really, all was fine.

I was only here for one night but it was a great location for me to see things. I was welcomed on arrival and was able to leave my luggage as I was early for check-in. Staff gave me great directions to the Roman Palace using a local bus,. I ate supper at the pub and I thought it was very tasty. Yes, breakfast is basic but still good. The rooms are in a separate building behind the pub. I liked that I could access the room using a back driveway and not having to go through the pub.
It was a bit noisy until the pub shut down but not bad. Also wifi didn't work in one alcove in the room.

The staff were all delightful- absolute darlings who made me feel welcome. The food was wonderful- I had a delicious roast which I highly recommend, and the room was pleasant. The location is also excellent and I loved the pub too- very warm and comfortable.
Nothing really, but note that if you’re in the rooms downstairs, you’ll hear guests slamming the door. I am not complaining about this- it’s just one of those things- but maybe a sign on the door for guests to be mindful of those sleeping would suffice?

Breakfast was very good value for money. The staff were very friendly and the room was cosy and warm. The pub / hotel is located in a fairly central spot and you could easily walk to the shops/pubs and cathedral.
If I was being really picky, I would say that the shower was a little small. I am of average size and found it tricky. That said, it was en-suite and I would prefer to have my own shower and toilet as opposed to a shared one.

The rooms was very cosy and the facilities were very clean and up to date which the reflected the reasonable price. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious and the service was efficient. The hotel was very convenient for Chichester City Centre and local attractions.
WiFi was very slow and at times went off which was very frustrating but did not ruin the entire visit

Everyone was really friendly and helpful, the staff couldn't do enough for me, upgraded the room at no extra cost. It was lovely to sit in the bar in the evenings and chat to the locals. The room was cleaned daily and was massive and it wasn't noisy at all despite being in the pub garden, Thoroughly exceeded my expectations and I would stay there again!

Location excellent - central but quiet. Close to Large smart TV - a big plus for solo travellers Lots of tea, coffee and milk ( including oat) in room and commentary biscuits every day Large soft bath towels
Breakfast was continental only with a somewhat limited choice. However it included an excellent fresh fruit salad.

It was central and convenient. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. It was quiet which was good being so close one of the main streets, being a pub and staying in a Saturday. The breakfast was amazing. The Dragon breakfast was excellent as well as the avocado and poached eggs.
The only negative was the loose tap in the bathroom

The room was very comfortable for a short stay. Bed & pillows ensured a good night sleep and very quiet. Evening Food in the hotel was excellent and washed down with a couple of good ales! Breakfast was buffet style but more than adequate! Service throughout my stay was very good.
bigger selection in the morning and bigger croissants!
