We arrived to have lunch in the bar/restaurant and enjoyed a really excellent selection of starters to share. We didn't need any further dishes as the starters were good and generous. The breakfast choices were standard but also excellent. We could also have a latte and not just the usual black coffee. We also had dinner one night with fantastic seafood and met the chef who told us they will present game dishes later in the year. We especially appreciated Jonty's welcome and help with recommending other restaurants and locations. As the inn is based in the historic centre we enjoyed the location and the architecture around us. Our room also had a four poster bed.

The Inn does not have its own parking understandably and the car park is about 3 minutes away which was ok as the weather was good. The staircase up to the rooms is a bit tight so small cases are a good idea.

Character full old building, very comfortable bed. Very helpful and courteous staff who did their best to sort out a couple of issues which arose promptly and efficiently and satisfactorily.

The kitchen was not open during our brief stay so we were not able to enjoy their food however alternative arrangements were great. The gaps around the window were not a problem for us but could be for others as we were there in high summer and had the window open but if traffic noise was an issue and you wanted the window closed it would not keep the sound out.

The food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and made us feel relaxed and welcome. Cocktails were fabulous, got our weekend off to a great start.

Slightly disapointed that we weren't in the room that we thought we had booked. Although we were in the four poster room, which I didn't like, the bed was very comfortable. I understand this is an old and quirky property but this room was a little tatty and in need of fresh decoration. Also there was mould in the bathroom, the smell wasn't very nice. Could do with a good clean and the grout requires renewing.

Beautiful building, lovely bath, comfortable bed, large bed room, really friendly staff and delicious veggie breakfast. Harvey's beer, which is always a plus. Happy to cater for someone who is allergic to dairy, which is appreciated. Surrounded by delightful old buildings and close to the shops and cafes. We had a great time.

It was a Saturday and the place was lively with live music, followed by non live music, on the ground floor. Our room was directly above this and it was loud. The sound proofing was poor, so you could hear it very clearly and loudly in the room. The music did stop at midnight, but you couldn't really sleep before then or watch tv. We didn't particularly mind, but if you wanted quiet, it would not be for you. As I say, it was Saturday night, so perhaps to be expected. However, because the speakers are up against the ceiling downstairs, you can even hear the music in your room when it is at a fairly low level, such as during breakfast time.

The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. We were recommended to park in a carpark really nearby that was really cheap and had cctv. I was really impressed with the room it was en-suite , really nicely decorated and had tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was really comfortable and the bedding was of a high standard. It was situated right in the centre of Midhurst so that was good. The breakfast was fantastic, it was well cooked and really tasty. I would definitely recommend for the price .

The traffic noise woke us up before 6am. The fan over the shower was covered in thick dust.

Everything... great welcome, great staff, efficient but not intrusive. The dinner was exceptional...excellent, interesting octopus starter, delicious and expertly cooked mains...both steak and fish were cooked and seasoned perfectly, and a strawberry parfait to die for. Very impressed by our whole experience.

Nothing...the hotel is in a good position...plenty of parking nearby. The room was comfortable and very pleasant. Nothing not to like.

The location was great, right in the middle of beautiful historic Midhurst. It was easy walking distance to our family, which was the reason for our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Our stay was for two nights over Christmas and we weren't provided with breakfast either day, although we were given fresh coffee on one of the mornings.

The owners and all the staff were fantastic and made our stay amazing! They couldn’t do enough for you. The food was brilliant and the chef is very talented. The location was perfect!

No parking but managed to get a space each time I had to move the car just have to be a bit patient.

Lovely town and swan in old centre, so close but not too busy. Nice square and church opposite. Seating on pavement to watch world go by. Good breakfast in cafe opposite. Staff very helpful. Good range of beers. Parked in centre by hotel, free. We stayed before walking south downs and wanted to return to explore town.

Nothing to dislike

Excellent service and a great pet friendly hotel. We were all made to feel very welcome including our Labrador who was given a treat! A friendly bar and breakfast (which was included) was at the cafe across the road. We needed a quick takeaway breakfast and it was excellent.

All was good - no complaints! Will be even better when breakfast is served in the hotel.
