I was given a room upgrade and complimentary chocolate brownie gift on arrival which was appreciated. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable with Molton Brown toiletries, complimentary water, tea making facilities and biscuits. The breakfast buffet was good with a range of options on offer. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.

very good staff first and foremost. Grace (reception) and Ruth (bar) super helpful. Room was overall good with complimentary tea/coffee, bottled water and even some popcorn and biscuits. A little light on milk but I suspect I could have gone and found more. Aircon in the room a good addition and had all we needed to get ready pre wedding, including shower gel etc. on site bar and restaurant looked good (we weren't around for food to really judge but all seemed good) bed comfy (executive room) if smaller (small double) than the kingsie beds you often get in hotels. all in enjoyable stay and would recommend

very small bathroom with a shower cubicle about as small as it could get. very small in built wardrobe/cupboard with a lot in it (fans, hairdryer, ironing board) which unfortunately left no room for bags to be stored. TV a little temperamental for signal but not unusably so. Parking a little steep at £20 per night and needs to be pre booked. You can use the pay and display out front which is a little cheaper however.

Despite being told our room was ready, we weren't allowed to check in to it unless we paid for an early check in. Check in was also very late (I think it was 3PM which is later than most). If the room is sitting there ready - why not just let us check in?! This feels like profiteering and did not make me feel valued as a guest. We had to put our bags back in the car and wait another hour or so to check in to our room which had already been turned over and was just sitting there empty and ready. Greedy from the hotel! Parking was super expensive - again, this feels like profiteering. If I am a guest who has already paid to stay with you, why are you charging large amounts of money for me to park on your land?!

I had a superb experience in this hotel. I booked a deluxe room and all my expectations were surpassed. The decor was stylish (wallpaper and carpet), the room was large and it had lovely features such as a stunning mirror and large desk. The bathroom was pristine and I enjoyed the supersize Molton Brown products. Also there were lots of goodies such as popcorn, water and a Nespresso machine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This feels like a family run hotel and I even had an email asking how they could help me with my day in Guildford. I was sad I had to check out early to go to work!

The only thing was the pillows were too hard for me but that is a personal issue

When I arrived I was told I was being upgraded from a small compact room to a lovely superior room. It was very nice, so I was very happy. Really great finishing touches such as luxury popcorn and Molton Brown products. Bed was very comfy and room clean with good air conditioning. Staff were very friendly. Yadis and Joyce were very helpful and cheerful! The location was perfect for the festival I was attending. Would definitely stay again if I was visiting Guildford. Great value for money. I did pay for parking separately which was £20 but it was worth it for convenience.

We love staying here, this was my 4th time as we visit our daughter frequently who is a student. This time we had a free upgrade too. We also brought with us a home made birthday cake for my daughter which needed to stay chilled. Both Scarlet and Ashish are exceptional members of staff, they took care of us and the cake too, nothing is too much trouble, they go over and beyond to make our stay so welcoming. We’re booked to return in July and bringing our elderly parents too for a weekend treat!

The price was way cheaper than the main two Premier Inn and Travel Lodge. We were upgraded to a top floor room with a good view of the back garden for free! Extra parking round the back is available if the front car park is full. It is secure access so you will need to enquire at reception.

The room was a bit small but that may have been because there were aspects of the roof that reduced space creating an increased feeling of it being less. The en-suite was quite small too, but enough to fit a 6ft tall person stood in front of the toilet (sloping roof).

We stay here everytime we go to see our daughter who studies at Charterhouse School. The premises are well looked after and clean, the whole place is very well maintained and conveniently located near the town center, just walking distance from nice restaurants, pubs and shops. A big plus is the parking onsite (needs reservation). The bar is really nice and the food is good too. The staff is super friendly and extremely helpful.

There is really nothing bad about this place. It is convenient, cozy and clean, you cannot go wrong.

Loved the friendly and professional staff. The food was lovely, as was the room. Parking was great too off-road and good value for money. Short walk to town centre. We were visiting the theatre which was about 15 mins away.

We both felt that the bathroom really let the room down. It was clearly in need of a bit of deep cleaning or updating. It was functional but certainly not as luxurious as we had hoped of a 4 star hotel. . Please try to find time and money to improve these facilities. Everything else was excellent.

I booked parking - and that went pretty smoothly. The room was pretty (nice wallpaper) and had everything I needed - including very nice water flow in the shower. I appreciated the extra touches in the room i.e. a welcome note I ate 2 dinners and 2 breakfasts in the hotel - the food was delicious and the staff always friendly and pleasant. The warm chocolate brownie on check-in was a delicous!

There was nothing I didn't like - the staff here seemed to go the extra mile.
