Everything, great customer service, nice room, and nice food

More feedback rather than any grievance, price could be better and when room service brings food to the room, I would suggest a couple of things.. 1) bring a selection of condiments with food, I did not think about this until after they left and could not be bothered by then but would have been could if they brought a selection with them. 2) perhaps if a guest has ordered a selection of bottled drinks leave a bottle opener for them rather than just open all bottles at once.

We booked Hartsfield Manor for a one night stay prior to heading to Gatwick Airport for a morning flight. We did not want to stay in an airport hotel so, at about 20 minutes away this looked perfect. And it was! Hartsfield Manor is as grand as its name suggests. Set in beautiful countryside, this spectacular wedding venue offers a quintessential English country house living in a serene and quiet environment. We initially had booked a room in one of the lodges but we were upgraded to a room in the Manor House as the lodges were not being used during the time of our stay (a very cold January!). We dined from the bar menu and asked if we could eat in the adjacent lounge area. The staff could not have been more obliging. I am lactose intolerant and, when ordering the food we were helped by Max who was super helpful and attentive, informing me of the ingredients that they can change or omit to make the meal to suit my condition. We had a lovely dinner in a lovely place.

We didn’t like having to leave without enjoying a breakfast! I bet it would have been great too!

Really enjoyable stay. An excellent property and although I was staying for work, it was very comfortable with a fantastic room and great nights sleep. The WiFi worked well and was great throughout my stay. The best part was the restaurant staff who could do no more for me, kept me entertained and despite being super busy with a big event on were attentive and excellent throughout.

Nothing much to say that I didn't like. From a reception point of view, while I had not booked breakfast it would have been nice to be offered it as an extra (happy to pay for this). The only other room for improvement would be a fan or air-conditioning in the gym would have been nice as it got pretty warm in there, but this is a very small and minor grumble.

Great location just off A25. Welcoming reception team. Pleasant room with comfortable bed and modern facilities. Plenty of wardrobe space, kettle, TV, hairdryer and good bathroom in the Lodge room, away from the main hotel. Buffet breakfast plentiful,

The shower in the bath had ambiguous controls and would benefit from a laminated instruction leaflet on the wall so that it was easier to use, The bathroom lighting over the basin is not bright and having a wet shave was awkward. The bathroom extractor fan is very noisy and has a long run on of over 15 minutes which is a nuisance if one visits the loo in the night. In the morning the coffee served to our table was weak.

This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting - rolling lawns, mature trees and great views in all directions. And just 20 minutes from home, yet we only just heard of it. Faultless - comfortable bed and room, excellent dinner and breakfast and helpful and friendly staff. We hope to be regulars.

Having "dressed for dinner" it is always disappointing to see other guests in shorts, tee shirts and trainers. It's quite an elegant place with linen cloths and napkins and it would be nice if other guests took a similar effort with their appearance. I think a dress code would be nice but difficult to enforce. However, it wouldn't be allowed on a cruise ship.

Lovely location fairly close to several stations. I had a room in the main house, which was lovely and had great views. The staff were very friendly, offered to help with luggage up the stairs (No lift). Dinner was very tasty in a nice restaurant, and breakfast was excellent. Even porridge was available, a rarity now at many hotels! Several comfortable lounges with views over the countryside. Small mini gym that had the essential cardio items and some free weights. Powerful, hot shower.

Breakfast was delicious. Amazingly cooked. Staff could not do enough to help! I felt very safe as a lone female staying by myself. Check in was really easy. The room was very well equipped and the extra touches, such as tea, coffee, water were lovely. If the weather had been better, I definitely would have gone to explore the beautiful grounds.

Unfortunately the hairdryer was very weak. The shower was also either burning hot or freezing cold - no in between! The walls were very thin, so it was easy to hear what was going on in the next door rooms and outside the door.

Beautiful place. Manor house and gardens are grand. Quiet location. Generous sized room. Great bathroom with bath and shower. Decent heated towel rail and extract fan. Complimentary water in the room

I didn't stay in the main house. The outbuildings are less grand but still lovely, and just a short walk away. Nice room, but the dreaded 2 twin beds made up as one, so you fell the ridge in the middle. WiFi was weak, so any TV channels other than BBC 1 or 2 were unwatchable because it was buffering. Food. Starter was grilled squid with mango dressing. The squid was warm, and the dressing was cold, so it felt strange. The dressing was chunks of mango with chillies in a delicious sauce (more than a dressing?) My medium rare steak was slightly tough, not as tender as I would have liked, and because it was fatter in the middle, it was only just cooked rare. Luckily, I don't mind it rare. Lots of gristle left at the end.

Lovely building and the staff were great. Gorgeous grounds that surround the hotel also. It was our anniversary and they gave us a free drink which always helps.

Room was not the cleanest, hairs in the bath and cobwebs around the windows. Paid nearly £200 for a suite and it was very ordinary to say the least. Nice big bed and a big room but there were no other differences between this room and a standard room really, very overpriced.

Secluded and quiet grounds. The staff were very helpful and approachable. Beautifully appointed room with a lovely ensuite. We had dinner and breakfast there and both were lovely

The walls and floor appear to have zero insulation as far as noise from neighbouring rooms is concerned.
