Quick check in online and reception was welcoing with room allocation done quickly. Hotel was convenient location for the Redhill Cruise event which we were attending with our classic car, parking was sufficient for our car. The room was clean and spacious and the price of £65 was more than reasonable for a hotel near London. Surprisingly we were informed that the hotel were starting offering cooked breakfast the following morning which was more than expected and only cost £9.95 each.

There was not enough seating available but we were lucky to arrive alone without anyone else. The people that came shortly afterwards struggled to find a place as there was only enough room for three parties. However, the food was good. The mattress was in need of replacment as a couple of springs were penetrating into my back. However, the rest of the facilities were fine.

Outstanding value for money for us. Everyone suggesting that this place is gutted and completely renovated are missing the point and forgetting that prices will double as a result. We paid less than £60 for a family room with en suite, only a short drive from Gatwick! The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot…you can’t ask for more at that price. Everything else, like air con, tea and coffee, fresh towels etc were a bonus! The value for money is unbelievable.

The long narrow walk with numerous staircases to the room. Not straight forwards with large staircases.

The room was clean and comfortable and quite large, with a balcony. There was also a bath, which was a bonus. There was a wedding party in full swing when we arrived, which was quite loud, which made us a little concerned, but or room was well away from the disco and there was no noise at all.

The signs outside the hotel advertised a restaurant, but there was no food being served because of the wedding. The price if the room however reflected this, so it was a little disappointing rather than being a problem.

The room, hotel and staff were excellent and I would recommend to others. However, a big negative was that breakfast did not being until 10.00am and my family needed to be on the road to drive down to Devon the following day. This meant that they had to get something from a service station en route. Had we known, they could at least have got something from the town the day before checking in.

As above, no breakfast till 10.00hrs ....

Lots of parking, lovely staff members, code access no need to carry around keys. This hotel reminds of school in the 90s a very nostalgic feel, loved my stay and reminded me of my childhood.

Hot water comes in at certain times of the day, you need to time it right. After a few days I figured it out.

That it was like a maze and I found it difficult to find my room but once I was used to the outlay of the building was easy, I did not like that there was no hand soap in the bathrooms as I like to wash my hands when I’ve been to the toilet as it’s basic hygiene, so maybe invest in that as well, and it was very outdated and had leaks everywhere in the building.

After reading all the bad reviews, I was terrified of what I was gonna find at the hotel. I can tell that I was very pleasantly surprised to find kind staff, clean room, comfortable beds, hot water, excellent water pressure, nice smelling room, working TV and so on. All I can say, is that I am happy that I haven't cancelled my booking based on reviews.

Nothing was not to like, really. Lack of lifts, maybe.

The hotel was pleasant to stay in, one of my favourite areas to visit, lots of places to see, room was comfortable with friendly staff, no breakfast available.

A little awkward for parking on a slope, had to reverse back out, otherwise everything was fine and good value for the location.

It was our second stay with the bridge house hotel and we were happy with our stay staff were polite and friendly the room was very clean and when we arrived we were informed that there was going to be a party of 250 people on the Saturday night and we had been given a room on the ground floor so as not to be disturbed definitely stay again

A basic place to stay for one night. The room size was great for a family of three (15 year old with us). Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is in need of some updating and the general decor is not fresh or eye-catching but for the price, and what we needed it for, (one night stay to go to Gatwick airport), it was sufficient.
