Great location which is within walking distance from Horley train station and restaurants; friendly and helpful host who was accommodating to guest needs; clean and well-decorated room; high level of cleanliness throughout. Aware that there is airport transport service which is a nice touch. Breakfast, if elected, was freshly prepared of your choice of eggs and toast with a solid amount of coffee; in addition to fruits, cereals and small pastries. The dining room was very well laid out and clean with ample natural light which provided for the perfect start of a day.

Beautiful property, tucked away on a quiet street, homely, and comfortable, yet only a stones throw away from Gatwick. This was the best choice! So much better than staying at a cold, impersonal (not to mention overpriced) airport hotel. The Lawn Guesthouse feels like a home, and was just what we needed for a good nights rest after a long drive and before an early flight. The shower was amazing, the room spacious and beautifully decorated, we loved the complimentary tea and coffee (essential when you have a 5am start), communication was great and everything was spotlessly clean. Honestly couldn’t recommend enough. We took the train to Gatwick the next day which was maybe a 5-7 min walk, and one stop away.

The lawn guest house is a short walk from Horley train station so really easy to get to and to continue travelling on from. The property is beautifully maintained and presented on a quiet road. Easy short walk to many different places to eat. We didn't need parking but that is available on the driveway and looks spacious and secure. The owner, Quasim met us upon arrival and it's obvious that he cares passionately about his business. The décor was modern and tasteful, great bathrooms (we booked 2 rooms) and well equipped rooms. As we had time on our side on departure day, we went out for a cooked breakfast and Quasim generously allowed us to leave our bags at the guest house. Travel for my family of 5 to Gatwick airport was organised by Quasim so as with all elements during our short stay, we were extremely impressed with The Lawn Guest House and would absolutely recommend it for a short (or longer stay) in this area. As a convenient place to stay prior to a flight from Gatwick airport, I'd have no hesitation in booking here. Its clean, friendly and very well run, a great small business.

Not that it would deter us from staying here in the future but we would try to seek out a room with a king or super king sized bed. We had a double which was very comfortable, but a king would have been perfect.

Delightful owner operator who offered to collect us quite late in the evening from the airport after a flight cancellation. Lovely old guest house, tastefully decorated, comfortable & clean updated bathroom. A fan in the room, which is a must for us ! Tasty breakfast & delicious coffee. Highly recommended. Would choose to stay again if we are back in London.

There is nothing to dislike about the house or room. The only issue was no notification ( at time of booking) from booking.com advising that the room we elected to pay for had been taken (someone booking at the same time?), which resulted in an extra charge for a larger room. It's not the owners fault. We were advised by him when we called that our booking notification had dropped into his diary & we had the room & and hopefully, it wasn't double booked as sometimes this happens. I always make a call to confirm availability & of course we were glad to find something as our flight had been cancelled & many people were in the same situation, looking for last-minute accommodation.

Quasim was very attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond to be accommodating. He provided a shuttle service pickup from Gatwick on short notice, provided nice restaurant recommendations, cooked breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable. We needed a place close to the airport to stay for the night since we got in later in the evening, and had to fly out again the next morning and this was the perfect option. Overall a lovely experience.

The staff really makes this place! The staff were very accommodating, paid attention to detail and did whatever they could to make your stay lovely. Our room had a welcome book to help orient us to the area, which was helpful. We were picked us up from the airport, dropped back off at the airport - making it super easy on our family. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and made fresh. The town was very cute to wander around in and the train station was really close - a quick walk. It would be a great place to stay outside of London, but still close enough via the train. We will definitely be coming back to this place!

The fan in the family room didn't oscillate, which is important. However, had we said something to the staff...I am confident they would have immediately remedied it. We just kept forgetting, so that is on us.

Liked the location, right near the town centre about 200 yards to pubs, cafes and restaurant. The room was warm, clean, bright, with wonderful Victorian features. The continental breakfast was good and more than adequate with a choice of cooked eggs. The owners were very welcoming and put themselves out to ensure we had a pleasant stay.

The stairs were quite steep for me as I have a mild mobility problem, but when this was known by the owners they put us in a first floor room with fewer steps.

We had an excellent stay at this accommodation. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to store our luggage and provided us with a door code so we could access it even when no one was at the reception. Everything was handled smoothly, and they were always ready to assist us. Despite the last-minute nature of our reservation (due to a flight cancellation), they had no issues accommodating us. They even offered to arrange transportation to the airport or book a taxi for us. The apartment was spotless, very quiet, and the other guests were respectful. The location was perfect, just a five-minute walk to a pub and a restaurant, and about ten minutes to the train station. Highly recommended for its cleanliness, convenience, and outstanding service!
