The staff really makes this place! The staff were very accommodating, paid attention to detail and did whatever they could to make your stay lovely. Our room had a welcome book to help orient us to the area, which was helpful. We were picked us up from the airport, dropped back off at the airport - making it super easy on our family. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and made fresh. The town was very cute to wander around in and the train station was really close - a quick walk. It would be a great place to stay outside of London, but still close enough via the train. We will definitely be coming back to this place!

The fan in the family room didn't oscillate, which is important. However, had we said something to the staff...I am confident they would have immediately remedied it. We just kept forgetting, so that is on us.

Liked the location, right near the town centre about 200 yards to pubs, cafes and restaurant. The room was warm, clean, bright, with wonderful Victorian features. The continental breakfast was good and more than adequate with a choice of cooked eggs. The owners were very welcoming and put themselves out to ensure we had a pleasant stay.

The stairs were quite steep for me as I have a mild mobility problem, but when this was known by the owners they put us in a first floor room with fewer steps.

Room on ground floor right next to the entrance and the room door is not sound proof, making any entrance and exit an annoyance.

We liked the warm, relaxed & friendly greeting on arrival. Also we liked the fact that we could use an ice machine and that wine glasses were available should we want them, All extra facilities were well detailed in the guest info folder, as well as local information. Even the please do's and do not's were politely worded. The hotel was immaculate and the room had all we needed. We had to leave at 6am and the option of helping ourselves to a continental style breakfast was very helpful and was plentiful. The hotel is very well situated for a walk into town to enjoy the local restaurants and pubs locally and the drive to Gatwick airport where we were heading was around 5 minutes drive away but was still quiet and in a nice surroundings. Loved the sash windows, he only ones I have ever come across what openly smoothly!

We had an excellent stay at this accommodation. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. They allowed us to store our luggage and provided us with a door code so we could access it even when no one was at the reception. Everything was handled smoothly, and they were always ready to assist us. Despite the last-minute nature of our reservation (due to a flight cancellation), they had no issues accommodating us. They even offered to arrange transportation to the airport or book a taxi for us. The apartment was spotless, very quiet, and the other guests were respectful. The location was perfect, just a five-minute walk to a pub and a restaurant, and about ten minutes to the train station. Highly recommended for its cleanliness, convenience, and outstanding service!

We had a fantastic experience at The Lawn Guest House near Gatwick. Quasim was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. His airport pick-up service was not only swift but also very reasonably priced, making our arrival stress-free. The guest house itself was perfect for our “night before the flight” stay. Only a 5 minute walk from Horley train station , the Lawn Guest House is situation in a leafy. quiet road . The Victorian house is tastefully furnished in an Art Deco style, which I love. The young lady who greeted us was most polite & explained everything we needed to know . We opted to have breakfast on the morning of our departure, which was plentiful & reasonably priced . An exceptional start to our holiday , which we would wholly recommend to family & friends as a better alternative than staying on airport . A great find for us !

It was incredibly close to LGW (London Gatwick Airport) and the train station (located at LGW) for the train into London. We had a 22-hour layover, so being near the airport was important because we needed to leave again the next morning early (but not too early because we were so close). We wanted to spend time in London, so being near the train station was important because we could get into London quick without needing to be staying in London. Therefore, everything was easy and seamless to get to and from. We also felt safe.

I have nothing bad to say about these accommodations. We were very happy with our accommodations and its location and amenities. We would stay again.

I stayed in the hotel a day before my departure from GatwickAirport.The location is great, as in the evening there is a local town with more than a few restaurants and pubs. And next morning, the hotel is close to the Gatwick airport terminal. No strest as they offer a transfer to the terminal. Also, it is an important option to mention that you will be late to check in time they You will receive the instructions on how to get you key to your room without receptionist in out of office time.

There is nothing to dislike.

A quaint building finely refurbrished. Impeccably clean room, tastefully decorated. Very friendly owners and staff. Area is super quiet but a stone's throw from practically everything. Bus-stop to Gatwick Airport a few steps away. Horley Railway Station within easy walking distance. An excellent choice both for travellers from/to Gatwick for an overnight stay but also for people like us that enjoy having Horley as their base for a longer stay. Great value for money. We would definitely stay here again.
