Hi I loved the fact it was very well secured and gated, information was sent to me prior to me arriving, how to get through the gate where to find the keys and room, where to leave the key when leaving. No we didn't meet any staff. So was quite impressed with the set up of how everything worked. There was information on where to go to get food or order online the nearest pub/ bar/ coffee shop. I loved the grounds and wish I had more time to walk around and relax to enjoy it all. Very quite and peaceful.

Less traffic for me to reach early. No fault of the lodge. Just the shower leaked water on the floor.

The hotel was quiet and the room was very nice, a bit larger than standard hotel rooms. You could use several gathering spaces in the hotel and walk the grounds. There is a very good restaurant close by.

We chose the hotel for the airport shuttle but were informed the day we arrived that we would have to get our own shuttle and then when I called to ask for the shuttle for the next morning I had to implore the driver to please pick us up. We had to pay the driver as much as the taxi to take us the short distance to the airport. For what I spent in shuttle fees, I could have stayed closer to the airport and had a free shuttle.

We stayed here whilst visiting family for 2 nights at the end of June. Really nice lady who I spoke to on the phone to clarify arrival time. Easy parking, easy entry, nice spacious room and very clean. Comfy mattress, we came on one of the hottest days of the year and a fan was already set up in the room which solved that problem. We will stay again next time we're in the area! It felt very secure and well cared for.

If I had to find anything that was a negative I'd say the shower not being fully enclosed was a bit annoying but it was easily cleaned up and didn't affect the quality of the shower. We also were woken by housekeeping knocking on the door so a do not disturb sign would be welcomed (we fell straight back to sleep though so didn't cause us any problem at all, but I imagine that might irritate some especially if just trying to get some much needed sleep before a flight).

Was a great location to base yourself out of to go do day trips. There was a lot of overnight stayers due to being so close to the airport and having drop off services available. The grounds are stunning and are nice to walk through. It is also a short walk away from a nice little pub for meals.

As we stayed there for 4 nights it may have been better for sleep if we had a backroom, as it was, we were up front and the constant moving of cars taking and bringing people in to and from the airport on the stone driveway was noisy, had we been in a back room we wouldn't have heard that.

Liked the size of the room. The communal areas were exceptional. Especially the lounge and dinning areas. It was appreciated that plates and cutlery were available if you bought food from external sources back to the hotel.

There were no staff available to make small requests such as to get use of an ironing board. I stayed for I think 6 nights and the towels were only changed once on day 2 of the stay. to my taste the bed was too firm to sleep comfortably and the walls and doors were very thin resulting in the sound of snoring coming from the next room keeping me awake. An ironing board and a softer mattress and I would not look anywhere else when booking hotels near Crawley.

Very handy to airport, nice large room. The lounge, dining, conservatory and outside areas are lovely and comfortable.

The property surrounded by gravel, as it is also a long term parking business for Gatwick, cars coming in and out all night, quite noisy. One was allowed to bring food in, to be eaten in dining area, however there was no jug to have a coffee/tea with your meal, tea towel or oven mitt to take out hot stuff from microwave or napkins, and if you wanted water you had to buy it. We booked a transfer to airport, confirmed it 2 days before and it didn’t show up. We had to ring and luckily someone was in attendance to take us.

Our room was spacious and well - furnished in the lovely country house with a nice ensuite. Several magazines provided in the room, extra pillows and tea and coffe with kettle in the room made it a very comfortable stay. It was a quiet location with easy access to Gatwick airport on the 100 bus or by booking taxi on the number provided. There is a very good gastro pub, The Black Horse, 3 minutes walk up the road. The grounds and access to the sitting room made this accommodation a special place to stay and communication was very good from the hostess Romona, for contact less check in.

I would reduce the water pressure for the vanity mixer tap. All else was very good.

We loved the room with the comfy bed and kettle for tea. Loved the sunroom to sit in for breakfast the next morning and the stroll around the grounds was so rejuvenating.

No human staff for check in. (We did meet a lovely woman who was going to clean our room, but only the next morning.) The code required to open the gate should be supplied more than 24 hours ahead of time. I only had WIFI at hotels so I could have received it in Bath the night before or morning of our departure. But there was nothing by the time we left Bath the morning of our check-in at Hookwood. When we arrived at the gate, we had no code and the telephone numbers did not work. Luckily another car came along and we got in and found our key in the envelope and from there, everything was great. Thank you. Lovely place.

The room was very spacious and the check-in process was simple. The bed was clean and there was a kettle in the room, but only instant coffee. The gardens around the property were nice to explore and the Balck Horse Pub down the street was great for dinner.

The bathroom in our room had a very strong and unpleasant smell that wouldn't go away. We had three windows, but the room had poor ventilation and was very hot at night. They did provide a fan which helped! I thought it was close to the airport by bus, but it wasn't. We ended up having to get an expensive Uber to get there because the bus doesn't stop close to the lodge. Just be mindful of that when booking!

Set on beautiful grounds which was great to have so close to the airport. Everything was in the room that I needed for the price I paid Nice big room and ensuite Great airport transfer - you do need cash though

No staff around. I didn't need to call anyone, but it doesn't look like it would be too quick if I needed help. Had slight difficulty getting in the gate as a pedestrian - only given the car code not the side door. Found some stickers/makeup from previous tenants. Nothing dirty but could've been cleaned up
