All was very good however there was a small issue at leaving our rental wheelchair to be collected at the hotel. My mother is elderly and the chair was great for touring London. However the Manager said at first no …. Then after a second attempt with my elderly mom having a chat she eventually said yes. We would of had financial bother trying to sort at such short notice a new avenue and we were happy that the lady manager was ok to store the chair for collection with the rental company. I am very happy with the hotel and found it easy to find. The rooms are very clean, cosy and quiet. My bed was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. I would recommend this place.

We loved the absolute ease of getting to the hotel straight from the terminal, even when we arrived at 3:30am, there was an easy check in, and we were in our room within 5 minutes or less. Our room was perfect, very comfortable beds , very quiet and it had a lovely little bathroom area. Breakfast was straight down in the lift, 2 minutes and we were eating. Everything was delightful, hot, and topped up often. We even were able to make our own breakfast waffles, so my children we more than happy. zero complaints from me. All was excellent. Many Thanks

The hotel entrance is actually located in Gatwick North Terminal - no need to go outside the airport. Access to plenty of restaurants in the terminal. Checked in late afte our flight to the UK from Egypt. The check in was speedy and we were upgraded to a quiet family room so we coud sleep longer without being disturbed. We didn't need to check out until 12 noon - plenty of time to catch upwith some sleep. The room was clean and ready for us with towels and toiletries in the bathroom. There was a choice of tea and coffee in the bedroom with plenty of milk cartons - usually lacking in other hotels. The choice of breakfasts was very good. Paper cups with lids were provided if you wished to take your drinks to your room. The serving staff were very helpful. I would recommend staying at the Hampton to anyone before and after their holiday flights; very relaxing with no rushing to meet timelines.

View from the room was of scaffolding. Needs must when work needs to be done but it was a bit gloomy. I had asked when booking about the room being accessible after midnight when my plane arrived but was allocated an ‘accessible’ room! Also, booking.com, NOT hotel, sent an email suggesting I upgrade to a ‘room with a toilet’. Rather bizarre intervention from booking.com and swiftly and apologetically rectified by the hotel whom I contacted directly. Of course there was a toilet!!!! Hotel staff and hotel itself was good though.

The hotel could not be more convenient. We had a very early flight and the proximity to the airport meant that we could easily do the twilight check-in for our hold luggage. We also had the early breakfast, which I thought was good.

I did not like the fact that there is a 12.5% discretionary addition to the cost of meals in the restaurant. In effect this is a tip, which should be decided by the diner based on the service received. It should not be taken by default before the meal has even been received. We stayed here again on the return from our holiday, but did not eat here again because of this policy.

The hotel is located on the airport grounds, making it convenient for saving time.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. Continental breakfast starts at 04:00, full breakfast at 07:00. Easy access to both terminals with the free shuttle that runs every couple minutes. A vending machine for essentials. We needed to use it and I'm so thankful it was there.

Finding it. If you are starting your search from the south terminal (arriving by plane or train) it is not completely clear how to get to the north terminal and there are signs for the Hilton but that is the wrong hotel. After realizing the need to take the shuttle to the north terminal look for the very small signs for Hampton. Once you figure it out it's easy and quick. The signage could be much better.

Location was so good- right at the North terminal at Gatwick. Lady who checked us in was lovely and really helpful. Parking was.expensive but considering the location, it's hardly surprising. Room was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Made meeting our son who was arriving in on a 6am flight smooth and hassle free.

Slight glitch with the shower in the morning when it was fine for one of us and then cold for the other. We didn't have time to raise this with staff as we were rushing to meet an arriving passenger. Seemed ok when we got back, but not sure why it was cold after only one brief use. Cooked breakfast was not great. No bacon at all and cheap baked beans. Seems a shame to skimp on something that is a key part of a hotel stay.
