All the staff were lovely. They really pay a lot of attention to guests and their dogs. Shout out to Norbert Jose Florin Abdul and Elisa on the front desk. There were some really nice younger girls working there but without name badges so they are at a disadvantage as we can’t name them in this review. Make sure all staff have name badges management! Beds and pillows were super comfortable and there was a turn down sevice. Spa had good treatments and dogs also allowed into the cafe bar area which was a plus. Staff dealt with any issues very quickly -see below. Cocktails in bar and food all very good

Air conditioning in room 18 was a bit too noisy - needs a check over. Music from 9.30 Blast class ruined the calm facial and massages we had booked - way too loud but after raising this, compensation was offered quickly. Need a few cheaper options on the wine list. Not allowing dogs into the restaurant does cause a few issues if you have a dog and creates a lot more work for staff having to lay tables to eat elsewhere or outside. Was fine for us as this was the summer and we could go outside but there are limited tables for eating from outside the restaurant. Could an area inside the restaurant be cordoned off for those families with dogs?

The room with a feature was excellent. Only the view to the car park was a letdown. Very comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful building.

Very expensive for what it offers. The room had a tiny bath. The spa is in a separate building, and it's tiny. The sauna and steam rooms can only fit 4-6 people at the time. The swimming pool is really small too. We had a dog and were sat down at the bar area for breakfast. The breakfast staff then proceeded to ignore us. We had to walk up to them to give them our order. The breakfast was also a bit of a letdown. They served me a dry poached egg, I've never had a dry poached egg before and did not know it was possible.

we were happy in all with the stay and accomondations. Apparently the suit one part of the familiy stayed in was very nice. One of the smaller bedrooms only had a velux window The swimming pool was very nice despite missing out on the jaccuzi which was out of order.

Slow service in the bar on Saturday night. We had booked a table in the restaurant >10 days before and knew where we would be sitting but this was given to another group. Before we were sorted out and we sat down to eat quite late. However, Abdul was FANTASTIC and funny and gave us such a nice time that it was all forgotten in the end. Dinner and breakfast was very good

Striking historical building with period features back as a hotel. Very comfortable and super terrace with stunning views towards the Weald. Very friendly staff and great service. Very nice breakfast outside. Very large pool with steam room and sauna included in the stay.

The only downsides were the numerous small up and down steps to get from the room to the lift and the lack of soundproofing from the door (was woken very early by next door leaving and creaking floorboards in the corridor). Not the greatest view from the room!

We came for a function which was done beautifully. In particular the staff were pleasant and attentive at all times. They went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was good; lots of choice and lovely staff again. We did not use the spa facilities.

The hotel is difficult to navigate. We thought our room was on the first floor but it was along corridors and up stairs that made it difficult to find. Fortunately a member of staff guided us there and ensured we knew our way back to the function suite. Better signage and an easier follow 'map' would have helped.

The setting with its traditional English architecture and surroundings. The rooms are of a good size and relate to an era gone by which is espoused in Japan where my guest came from.

The afternoon tea did not go well as we were seated right by an entrance/exit door to the garden and had to continuously get up to open the door to people trying to get in and constantly leaving the door open. Eventually we asked to move but by then the ambience and mood of the occasion was ruined.

Room was very nice and very clean. The breakfast offering was very good, the food was very nice. Staff were attentive, friendly and very nice.

The spa facility ie, pool, jacuzzi, sauna and hot tub was a little bit underwhelming. It was fine and functional but seemed a little small. We had dinner at the restaurant the food was very tastey and looked great, its just the menu was a little underwhelming. The food was very nice and classic, just expected something a little more exciting.

Everything was really fine (staff, reception rooms, location) except the fact that we were given a room which had been painted the week before and the residual odour really triggered my asthma. It was too late when we returned to the room in the evening for me to request a room change so perhaps my own fault. Unfortunately it led to a really uncomfortable night. To be fair Reception told me that they would have changed my room had they known.

Strong freshly painted residual smell. Layout of room a little awkward but very clean. Reception staff very pleasant.

We have already been to the hotel two years ago and it is very beautiful, the hall, the library, the cloister restaurant, the paintings. The staff is extremely nice and attentive. Very good breakfast, cozy fire in the hall.

Unfortunately we did not have a very nice room for the price we paid and compared to the last time we were there. It was in the annexe, there were cracks in the wall, a stain on the carpet, some broken pieces in the bathroom and we had a view to the car park. We will ask for a better room next time!

Welcome at front desk was first class a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, the waitress was excellent, nothing was too much bother, she was a credit to the hotel.

To be charged £25 for a glass of white wine, we were not given a choice of wines, outrageous. We felt the bar staff were bordering arrogant when challenged and not one bit apologetic. I don't suppose we will have any feed back but thought you should know.
