Good location for getting to/from Gatwick Airport and using the parking and shuttle bus service for an early morning flight. Pricing is good value. Hotel and room was clean. Despite reading other reviews that were not saying good things, we had no complaints about staying at this hotel. The staff were friendly and the hotel and room were clean. We had a good nights sleep and it was quiet.

Large room, comfortable, everything necessary for a one night stopover before an early flight. Offered booking of shuttle on arrival, which was great because I probably would have forgotten. Five minute stroll down to the fuel station for some snacks. Didn't experience the restaurant but was made to feel very welcome and comfortable chilling out alone in the bar (as a female in 30s). Room sufficiently stocked/supplied. Would definitely stay again in similar circumstances.

Not much of a problem for me, but I couldn't find a lift/elevator so had to lug a 23kg suitcase up the stairs to the room amongst other items. (There may have been one - I didn't ask. If not, the staff were certainly polite enough that I think they would have helped me up the stairs if I had sought it.)

I had to take a taxi to find the hotel, and to do that I had to walk into town. There were no taxis at the station. It was a 10 - 15 minute walk. Having little baggage, the walk didn't do me any harm. The bar and restaurant staff were professional and the food was average. Unfortunately I couldn't stay for breakfast - far too early for me. The transfer to Gatwick was efficient and on time. In general, I got what I wanted for a price I was willing to pay. I will probably use this hotel again.

Convenient location to the airport and reasonably priced. The restaurant and bar on site were a desirable feature as was the tea and coffee making facilities. Room was spacious and perfect for short stay before a flight and so the airport shuttle service was good.

Disappointed that there was a payment incurred with the airport shuttle but understand that there is a charge at airport drop-off that I am sure the cost contributes towards so a fair price.

Slick check-in. Helpful staff. Clean room. Will return. Oh, and great Taxi service to the airport and back.

Oh, sadly the bathroom light didn't work, so a bit of DIY is needed - reported by the cleaning staff as well, I hope.

The tranquility , the old English setting. Simple, no lift, but nice homely atmosphere.

That there is not a lift and so many of us are elderly with mobility difficulties , climb stairs is not the best for us. Besides there is not a place where to leave the luggage that one is not going to use for the overnight and that to alleviate the carrying of full holiday suitcases.

The front desk and the breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was small, and they should have told us that there was a small very small step to get in the bathroom.

When we booked the room, we asked for one bed but the room had to bed one double bed and one twin bed. This made the room very uncomfortable and hard to move around in. Also, they need to have fans for the heat in the rooms.

Hotel spotless clean, staff very helpful, the man on reception in the morning was very good and even drove the minicab to the airport, and still remained in contact with his role at reception. Very good value I wished I had used them to get to the hotel. They dropped me off at buss. Stop 7.

My room was on the front and the traffic could be heard in the room.

It was, clean, quiet and, close to a lil shop. The transfer from hotel to airport is an excellent facility. I'd definitely recommend and, would definitely stay again the next time I'm flying from Gatwick.
