The ease of booking. Easy to get to. Nice, fresh, clean rooms. Having a fridge (we were offered fresh milk for hot drinks too). A kettle supplied with various teas, coffee with biscuits was appreciated. Lovely staff. Todd, the manager, was friendly and brought the chef out to speak to us about our breakfast query. I don't eat cooked traditional breakfasts and he asked what I liked. I said salmon and eggs so he said he could do that with avocado too which was perfect. The next morning it was obvious how much trouble the chef had gone to, my breakfast was amazing! Todd also offered more coffee and orange juice as well to everyone at breakfast which was a nice touch. The breakfast was lovely and the flowers and tidiness of the grounds were noticeable. We were pleasantly surprised about how much nicer it was compared to the photos. Definitely recommend for a stopover.

For us the proximity to two main roads made the traffic noise a shame but we only stayed one night as we went to a wedding and live 4 hours away. They can't really do anything about the traffic!

The pub is lovely and the food exceptional. The staff were fantastic - especially Todd and Niamh - who went above and beyond to help us get to a local wedding venue. Thanks so much to both of them. The room and the bathroom were a good size with a great selection of tea, coffee and posh biscuits. Being close to the pub was really helpful for parking and for having a drink without needing to drive.

The roads around are really noisy at night (fast country roads which sound like a race track, especially at night). There's no double glazing so ear plugs are a must if you want to sleep!

Delicious, good quality and plentiful food - we had a very lovely dinner and also paid for the breakfast which was huge!. Both great. Delicious wine with dinner. The staff could not be more helpful - just delightful.

The pub is located near to busy roads but the room we stayed in wasn't too noisy. It would benefit from some screening on the windows though as we were visible to people drinking in the garden so not ideal for privacy. We understand that the business has new owners so I'm sure the tiny tweaks will be sorted very soon.

All the staff were great, from the manager who checked us in to the dining room staff. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The room was comfortable and well designed. The bathroom was spacious with a superb shower over the bath.

Although we had understood breakfast would be provided, this was not correct. The wifi in our room was non-existent so we had to sit outside to pick up a signal.

A lovely room in a great location, and the breakfast which was fantastic,, and a big thank you to the young girl who worked behind the bar and served us our breakfast on the Sunday morning, I didn't get her name....you was very attentive and helpful, even bought our breakfast to us and we ate it outside our room as it was a beautiful morning....once a gain thank you..

Todd went up and above expectations in sorting out a minor issue with our booking. Staff and service was exceptional as was the food. We had a table for 17, food came out together and was piping hot. Would highly recommend venue and food.

Wifi wasn't particularly good in our room.

Spacious and well appointed, generous coffee and fresh milk. Good heating. We did not need any catering so that suited. We would definitely stay again.

No grab rail in bath/shower could be a health hazard. Internet and phone signal a problem but Starlink seemed to work.

Loved the decor and the bed was very comfy, everything was very clean and the bathroom was very spacious. Nice selection of teas and coffee, and the continental breakfast in the morning was outstanding, homemade pastries and yogurt beautifully presented.

Location fab for us. Lovely accommodation and very welcoming staff. Only slight negative comment on junction of what seemed reasonably busy country road. Would stay again.

Nothing, only thing that was slightly disappointing was having to pay for the breakfast.
