I liked that the hotel is very well located and easy to find. The rooms were very clean and cozy, adapted for people with disabilities. There was a good TV and electric kettle, coffee, tea, milk, sugar... shampoo, conditioner, hand and body cream, and even an iron were also available.

What I really didn't like was paying to include breakfast because I had time to eat, since my flight was at 7:30 AM and breakfast opened at 4:00 AM. But when I arrived at the restaurant with my husband, we saw that they only served cold breakfast from 4:00 AM to 7:30 AM and that hot breakfast was only served from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM. I was very upset about this, and it wasn't even worth not having a hot breakfast for all guests, after all, everyone pays the same. I thought it was really bad. I wouldn't pay more for breakfast at the price I paid. There wasn't much food choice, and I left very dissatisfied.

Everything apart from one thing

Because we had a flight at 5.45 and had to be through security by 4am the latest, we couldn't get any breakfast. We appreciate it was a continental breakfast, which would have been great , but it seems if you have a flight before 6.30am you don't get breakfast 😞 When you book it does say breakfast included, but actually it's not for early travellers. I think it's very misleading. It could make the difference about us stopping again, as the rooms are fantastic, but to be able to grab a croissant and coffee before a flights would be much better. I doubt this will make any difference, so the survey is pointless really !... Isn't it 😞!

All was very good however there was a small issue at leaving our rental wheelchair to be collected at the hotel. My mother is elderly and the chair was great for touring London. However the Manager said at first no …. Then after a second attempt with my elderly mom having a chat she eventually said yes. We would of had financial bother trying to sort at such short notice a new avenue and we were happy that the lady manager was ok to store the chair for collection with the rental company. I am very happy with the hotel and found it easy to find. The rooms are very clean, cosy and quiet. My bed was very comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. I would recommend this place.

Good breakfast and ideal location for an early flight and good night’s sleep

The hotel is in a great location situated within Gatwick Airport so makes checking in seamless. Despite the issue of not being able to offload the bags, the staff were very helpful and guided us to a car park and validated the parking for us as we were using a rental car but definitely contact the hotel before you arrive.

Locating the hotel for the first time in a car is a nightmare, the signs on the various roundabouts are incorrect and guide you to a car park that automatically charges you as you drive down the street. You cannot simply park near the building and offload your suitcases. This all has to be done through the departures terminal which isn’t great if you’ve rented a car and have multiple bags with a young family.

Location so convenient for airport and train to city

We arrived off one flight too early for check in enroute to Portugal next day We were not bothered about checking in but were very disappointed that we were not allowed to leave our baggage Luckily there was a left luggage place in the airport terminal but this added £60 to our hotel bill The scrambled eggs were truly awful and spoiled what otherwise was a nice breakfast We stayed at the hotel again on our return and sadly the eggs were beyond bad again Think made from powdered egg they were as dry as dust and no egg alternative available

Once we found it the room was spacious, comfortable and perfectly clean

After an extremely long day travelling i found it really hard to find and we didn’t arrive until after 1 am. I wouldn’t have found it at all if it wasn’t for an extremely helpful member of staff ( i want to say Farik but i may have the name wrong ) who basically talked me through south terminal and out of a panic attack on the phone! The signs at South terminal are quite confusing and there is no clear mention of the shuttle in the correspondence with hotel, it would be really helpful to include that in the information that you send to guests, and some clear directions to shuttle. We couldn’t make the most of the complimentary breakfast either as we were just too exhausted to wake up on time. Would be great if it ran a bit later than 10!

Would have liked the option of a cooked breakfast

The location of the hotel is all because you can reach the check-in at Gatwick airport north terminal in a minute or two. My dinner there was pretty good by the standards of airport food. The chef Coleron should be congratulated and I had a particularly helpful and friendly waiter called Colin. There was plenty of room in the lounge and dining room with lots of space between tables. And it was not ridiculously over-priced. All in all, a very nice place to stay before your flight the next day.

I asked for a morning call which never happened. The lift seems to have a will of its own and goes up and down depending on how it feels, blissfully disregarding the buttons you press. Breakfast could have been a lot better. The toaster machine can deliver either warm bread or toast burnt to a cinder if you send it round twice. It seemed impossible to adjust it.

Our friends dropped us off at the Hilton, thinking that was where we had booked. The staff at the desk there were very helpful, they explained this 'is a daily occurrence'. The gentleman gave us directions to the Hampton, and said that it is actually a better deal. We found our way there easily and were indeed delighted that this was our destination. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, service was excellent in every way. The room could not be faulted. We would happily book there again. The meal was very good, and service at the restaurant again excellent.

We were happy with everything!
