Great location in the centre of Westerham. The room we were upgraded to, the Henry VIII room, had an enormous four poster bed and huge ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here over two days and all.were delicious and reasonably priced. All staff were pleasant and efficient.

This is a very old hotel and the room prices aren't extortionate, so it can't be expected to look super slick, however, the first impression of threadbare stair carpet as we went up to our room wasn't great. However, all the good points of staying here far outweighed this tiny niggle.

The staff at the King's Arm were so kind and accommodating. We were a group of three with bicycles staying the night for an event the next morning. We arrived at almost 11pm and Victoria was very welcoming, patient and accomodation. The staff the next day were also helpful and friendly. Westerham is a lovely town and this Kings Arms is well located within it. The room was large and comfortable. The bed in the family room was huge. We slept really well.

The plumbing could probably benefit from some updating.

The Standard room was large with a great comfortable bed and very clean. The Superior room was larger and again very clean and had both a bath and shower, with a large 4 poster bed. It is a shame we were only there for one night for an event, otherwise we would have happily based ourselves there for a few days. We knew it was an old building with all the creaks and high maintenance that comes with that, so of course it needs a updating in places but it was clean, with friendly staff and customers and had a large carpark. The tea, coffee, hot choclate and biscuits were appreciated.

The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Location was nice because it had small shops nearby.

Poor ventilation in the room. During summer months, it's very uncomfortable to spend the night, a fan was provided but it barely blew air, it really didn't cool the room. The only two windows we could open were the bathroom and room but only a little bit of it because they both had locks.

The room we stayed in was extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were lovely. Very friendly and welcoming. The food we had was excellent.

The hotel upstairs is tired, and needs updating, but I understand this is being done slowly. The shower in our room wasn’t very good, but useable. The thing that annoyed us most was other guests stomping around and slamming doors. There was no chance of a lie in because of the constant banging.

An excellent location, in a lovely (and historic, as someone interested in WW2 aviation / Battle of Britain) part of the country. Smashing staff, good service, nice room, good food and ale in the evening, good breakfast - wish I'd had time to spend much longer over all of it!

My only negative comment would be that the accomodation looks a little 'tired'. I have no problem (indeed, enjoy) the irregular building and room layouts of such long-standing inns, and the room itself was smashing - but the corridors and more do need a "lick of paint" all round. Spotting the turn into the carpark took two goes, but that's my fault!

The age, character, location,easy parking, the food, the staff

Only because we are old and creaky we didn’t enjoy climbing 2 flights of stairs to our room. The stairs were safe and handrails were great but it’s a difficulty that comes with age of property and guest! We love old traditional hotels - it’s not a complaint - just something to perhaps warn people of - no lift.

The Receptionist made us feel very welcome and gave us the information we needed. It was a special room (called Henry VIII) with a four poster bed. The room was massive, but clean and warm. Floorboards are a bit creaky, but you would expect that in such a venerable building. We had a bath and separate shower in the bathroom. Generous towels. Plenty of space to lay out our toiletries. The breakfast area had changed (for the better) since the last time we stayed.

It's too bad the stairs look so worn and unloved! This public space needs titivating.

The staff was quite helpful and courteous; they really tried hard to make us feel at home. The rooms were a great deal that couldn't be beat, it's in a really good location, and was very clean. Dinner was really good and the free parking was really nice. It will be a great place to stay once they get the renovations done. I would most likely stay there again in the future if the price is right while traveling through, but I would definitely stay there again once the renovations are complete.

Renovations are going on, so some of the rooms are a bit dated. Ask if they have an updated room available. We had an issue with the heater that couldn't be resolved, but they were available to call at all times, and they really tried their best.

Staff were exceptionally helpful, beds very comfortable, safe parking almost at the door. Dining experience exceptional. Lovely little dogs, we were missing ours. Outdoor eating area for breakfast in the sun. Lovely quiet library dining room, I travelled with a spectrum grand-child.

Something to put the suitcase on, off the floor, would have been helpful.
