Easy to get to - well located. Lovely grounds. Had the Sustainability factor which is very important to me. Most staff were welcoming. Chef (whom I believe was Agency) was perfect for the establishment, cheerfully welcoming us as we selected our breakfasts which was prepared to a high standard. Visited the British Wildlife centre, which is a few minutes away & had time to return & enjoy the pool before our evening meal which was also a good quality. Two nights well spent.

Decor let the stay down a bit. Scuff marks in shower, wall paper peeling in hallway. Not all electric lights worked in the room. Personally, I would have preferred a room overlooking the race course as opposed to the car park. However, these comments will not prevent me from returning & requesting a different room

Fabulous room - very spacious and well-appointed. Wonderful views over the raccourse and part of golf course. Great walk-in shower in bathroom, although bathroom was slightly on small size. Front-of-house in reception, bar, restaurant were all very polite, friendly and welcoming. Hotel in general extremely quiet overnight despite being fully booked. We didn't use spa complex so can't comment on them.

Chambermaids left a bit to be desired. Although our room was serviced, bed was only partially made, bins in bedroom and bathroom were not emptied, and we weren't given any towels. The chambermaid who was servicing the room next door to us didn'tspeak any english and couldn't understand what we were asking for. Luckily a young man with trolley of towels was just finishing off a room at the far end of the corridor to us so we managed to catch him before he got in service lift and get towels from him. Otherwise, everything was perfect

Couldn't fault the hotel or staff! Stayed here with my daughter as she wanted to visit hever castle, and this was the closest hotel with a pool. From the minute we arrived, the reception staff were extremely friendly and engaging with my daughter, offering a welcome bag with kids' stuff in. The pool was lovely and warm, and plenty big enough for a little swim. Didn't use it, but the gym looked very good for a hotel, along with the steam and sauna room. Food was very nice and reasonably priced, all staff were lovely and made an effort. The Room and hotel were spotless, and they even upgraded us to a trackside view room upon arrival too. Wouldn't hesitate to stop here again and would definitely recommend.

The waiter did get my order wrong but very quickly apologised and replaced the meal, and the food was amazing. If I were to be really picky, I'd like to see a better choice of lagers on draught, but the selection of shorts were brilliant. I honestly can't find anything wrong with this hotel, the staff probably made the whole experience, from the reception staff,bar staff, waitresses, and all the welcoming staff at breakfast, even the cleaners were friendly. Credit to the marriott group.

Lovely hotel, we had a room overlooking the race course. The breakfast was included and was excellent with lots of cold & hot options. We also had an evening meal which was really good and very reasonable. The thing that really stands out is the staff, they were all amazing and could not do more for you. The young man in reception offered to take our bags to our room, our server in the evening went out of her way to accommodate us and the member of staff who was working lunchtime & at breakfast was so helpful and friendly and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us.

The pool was freezing and too cold for us to use, but we made use of the whirlpool

The staff were very helpful and friendly especially a young lady called Jodi. The room was very comfortable and, except for one night, very quiet.

Whilst the breakfast was good the food generally was not very imaginative nor was it cooked very well. Having arranged for lunch well in advance, we arrived to find that, on several days, only a restrictive bar menu w as available. The food side of our stay affected our overall impression of what was , otherwise a very pleasant stay

Comfortable beds, large spacious rooms, very tasty food in the restaurant, polite and helpful reception staff which gave us two very nice adjacent rooms. Restaurant staff was nice too and breakfast was good. Clean overall, nice swimming pool, hot tub and saunas. Overall good value for money that we spent compared to other hotels and we will consider visiting again.

Hotel a bit tired, it shows that the building is getting old. Floors in the restaurant are not regularly swept, dirty towels in the changing room are not removed on time and form a huge pile on the floor. Hammam and showers near swimming pool out of order. No bath robes in the rooms. We paid 120 a night and room for which it was OK but I won't pay more than this.

The staff were friendly professional and welcoming and the hotel was lovely! We had dinner in the bar and breakfast on both days. The service was excellent and the food was delicious with a very good range of choices. The room was comfy as was the bed and the bathroom was spotless. All in all we had everything we needed and felt as if we were really well looked after. There was also extensive onsite parking and excellent internet service at no extra cost which was very welcome. A really lovely stay thank you. We chose the hotel because it was close to Hever Castle where we had planned a day and the location was perfect for us.

Comfortable room with a fantastic view over the racecourse. Midday checkout meant we were able to watch the first two races from the room- in the warm! Sauna and pool lovely, not too busy and good temperature. Overall good stay, would return, and use the golf course too

Weak shower, not overly hot. Cracking/ damp above the shower unit gave a scruffy feeling. Champagne glasses and cutlery also left outside a neighbouring room for the 24 hours that we were there. No staff thought to pick up, even when room cleaning had been present along the corridor. Steam room was on and seemingly working with the door ajar, but had an out of order sign on the door. Pool towels also felt thin/old

Beautiful hotel surrounds on the golf course with plenty of parking space. Huge room with a large comfy bed and nice shower. Staff were friendly, our receptionist at the checkout was particularly nice but didn't catch her name. We didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on these.

Though polite and friendly enough, our receptionist on arrival didn't seem very forthcoming with information. We had to ask questions about breakfast, spa facilities and access times etc. not ideal.

Met our needs, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice size rooms, comfy bed. Nice to have Spa facilities on site and included in the price. Had a room overlooking the race course which was good. Ate in the restaurant in the evening. Service was good and food was nice. Breakfast was lovely as was the Maitre D Calix.

Balcony door didn’t close properly which amplified the overhead jets from Gatwick Airport. Did report it. Spa facilities not everything was open and working, pool steps broken (reported) and area not as well attended as could be e.g. no water or cups in the water cooler and towel return overflowing.
