We have been before and the hotel which is attached to the pub is lovely and the ladies on reception very helpful allowing you to put bits in the fridge and helping yourself to jugs of milk ..the breakfast too was nice

The pub where you can access the hotel from is lovely staff are very friendly .our only gripe was the food ..very limited choice ok if you want burger and chips ..which by the way was well presented and plentiful !! Being in such a pretty rural location you would have thought the food would have been more rustic ..pie/veg/potatoes ..shepherds pie..hunters chicken ..as we stayed for two nights we were sick of chips !!

The staff are so lovely welcoming and friendly, especially thank you to Eileen for the warm welcome, showing us round and booking us a late table for dinner. The room and facilities were great, bed was huge and so comfortable. Food was lovely. Breakfast delicious. It’s dog friendly, can’t beat having dogs around, and comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful village setting, it was quiet and lovely, peaceful walks, we could see deer roaming from our window. Lovely cosy seating in the bar area for drinks by the wood burner after dinner. Will definitely visit again.

The current management have been in place for 16 months and they have created a place with a homely welcoming atmosphere. This is definitely not Corporate faceless hospitality. The hotel is a little dated and on first sight it feels as though it could do with some TLC. However, the staff act as one large Customer focussed team and make your stay friendly, comfortable and relaxing. The food is great with generous portions and a different menu from standard breakfast fare. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful too.

Location was good for us - we have relatives who live in Peaslake. Also a great base if you want to explore the many footpaths and bike trails in the local woods. Included breakfast was very good with vegetarian options as well as the classics. Didn't eat there in the evening but I would guess a similar experience awaited us. Shower in the bathroom was hot and had good water pressure. The staff were fabulous and very cheerful. Local beers on tap in the pub part were excellent.

The building, as with many UK country inns, was old and quite musty. Too much uncleanable carpet throughout, including our room. Our bedroom was on the top floor and the hot water for the bathroom basin was intermittent at best. The bed was a bit soft and my wife ended up with a sore back from this. On site parking is available but it appeared to be being used by the owners as there were large vehicles and a horse trailer parked there throughout our stay. The lot was walled, making it very challenging to maneuver and park, assuming a space was even available.

- great location for pitch hill (for biking and walking). Just a 5 min walk away - cosy room with everything you need, including a well stocked tea station - restaurant and bar are lovely. We had a caeser salad and burger for lunch. And lamb shank and pizza for dinner. All excellent and cosy pub food - the staff are super friendly and helpful. Peaslake is tiny so if you want somewhere away from everything, near main biking and walking routes, this is a perfect spot.

The bed was extremely comfortable, very good breakfast and a good choice. It really is a great location with the pub/hotel nestling in the Surrey Hills. Very relaxing.

We were in room 2 so we got the kitchen cooling duct adjacent to our window. Therefore, it was noisy when the kitchen was operating and the cooking smells wafted into the room. The shower was very good, but I suspect the waste was clogged with hair as water tended to build up in the shower tray.

Love the country vibe. We stayed in Room 11 and had a beautiful view of horse on the field in morning and evening. Very quant town. Absolutely lovely staff and they were very acommidating. Excellent hot and cold breakfast, and they were very helpful with our early departure. Great restaurant/pub attached. Easy to get to neighbouring towns if you have a rental car.

Not an easy town to explore on foot(no foot paths to see the town but heard the hiking is good), and it is difficult to adjust to driving if you are from a 1+ lane area as the roads are narrow but definitely worth the journey.

One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. It was, without a doubt, one of the best we’ve ever had. The portions were generous, and each dish was cooked to perfection. The ingredients were clearly fresh, and the flavors were simply delightful. The breakfast arrived quickly, and the service was impeccable, with the staff going out of their way to accommodate our preferences. It was the ideal start to our day. The staff are lovely and our room was nice with amazing comfortable bed. Clean and cozy.

Needed a bedside tables by sides of bed, odd no table was there, there’s plenty of room.

Located in the Surrey Hills in a peaceful location between Dorking and Guildford, only a short drive through the country lanes to the main A roads. A popular place for cyclists who like a challenging hill terrain/single track country roads with a bike hire shop opposite. Our dog Flora loved the walk up the footpath next to the hotel to the fields at the top of the hill and we loved the peace and tranquility. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the English Breakfast was delicious and substantial and the adjacent pub with its terrace was wonderful. The staff were all welcoming and friendly, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.

The location in the forest is beautiful. Peaslake is one of my favourite villages. The exterior of the hotel is first class. The room was comfortable and staff were very friendly. Good beer selection at the bar, tho I believe the bar/restaurant is a depart business to the hotel. Full English breakfast was substantial in the morning.

The hotel side of the operation is good. The pub suffered from a renovation about 12 years ago that got rid of the original features and made it look like a cheap gastropub. I'm not sure the Italian menu with a couple of pub classics tacked on really works. The lasagna and fish and chips were only so so. The single waitress was rushed off her feet and not particularly helpful. Probably better to make like the locals and stick to the pizzas The real ale selection and craft beers were good and bartender excellent.
