The assistant manager Vee met us on arrival she was extremely efficient, very friendly and showed us to our room. After settling in we came down to the bar and had a welcoming drink in the very pleasant garden. Our room was at the back so it was quiet, the breakfast was freshly cooked and great. The inn has a large car park just up the road and off-street parking opposite.

When we first drew up we had reservations about the exterior appearance and we even wondered if it was still open. Once inside all was well. The owner explained they would be improving the outside when funds permitted.

My room was a bit dated but very comfortable and clean. I had a lovely bath and a very good night's sleep. There were 2 big windows in my room which let in lots of light and as it was a very sunny day this was very welcome. I had a very nice meal in the evening and a good breakfast. Parking is very good as there is a huge car park next to the hotel and the area is fantastic for walks and beautiful scenery, especially in Spring and Summer.

There was nothing I didn't like.

The room was clean and simply furnished; quite adequate for two nights' stay (though not serviced after the first night). I didn't eat a cooked breakfast, but the selection of cereals and toast were fine, and the coffee was very good. The "hostess" was very pleasant and friendly.

Various parts of the property, especially the road frontage, could do with redecoration, and maybe some hanging baskets ?

Welcoming staff. Comfy bed and clean room. Enjoyed an evening meal at the bar and very good breakfast the next day. Plenty of parking. The cost of bed and breakfast was good value.

It's looking a bit tired but in these challenging times I can imagine the budget for updating just isn't there. With business's going under every week I think The Inn on the Green is a local gem and wish the team well.

I would agree with other comments that the accommodation and stairs/landings are looking dated and tired but this is just the nature of this type of accommodation and it is reflected in their pricing strategy so I still think it is excellent value for money, and far outweighed by the welcome and the food so I will be happily go again.

The cooked breakfast was extremely good and the staff were happy to provide exactly what was requested and plenty of hot drink refills. The room was spacious and clean with a lovely extra large double bed. As it was located at the back of the property it was lovely and quiet so a very restful night.

The decor was a little dated and tired but this was only a minor point as the stay was very good value.

Room was fairly basic but perfectly adequate, friendly owners and a good breakfast. Good beer selction!

Access to room a little awkward and "nadgery" - stairs, narrow corridor and room door up two steps, but manageable. Situated directly on a fairly busy road (but big car park nearby)

Julie (mine hostess) extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfasts first class. Easy access for guests arriving back late at night. Good bathroom and good hot water. Everything, bedding, etc. very clean. Lovely garden.

Creaky floors. Not really something that can be remedied, but felt guilty moving around in case disturbing other guests.

Staff were so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food was lovely and Julie couldn't do enough for us - as vegans, we don't always find a lot of variety but that wasn't the case. We had choice and all of it (breakfast and dinners) delicious. Friendly, comfy and very relaxed, all that was needed. Thank you. We'll definitely recommend and we'll be back.
