The room was spacious, and whilst lacking a few things (see below), the overall experience was positions, nothing was a surprise, advertisement was accurate, location was excellent for our activities. I am partially disabled, the desk agent on our arrival noted my demeanour and his assistance adjusted without a fuss. Breakfast is not our thing, but a two course dinner in house, proved an excellent choice, well cooked and delivered in a timely manner, alongside drinks, the staff were attentive and effective. They should be congratulated, was a busy Saturday.
The room lacked, some and would benefit from: Larger Fan/Aircon, Shower Unit/not Bath, rails in the Bathroom. I am partially disabled, the desk agent on our arrival noted my demeanour and his assistance adjusted without a fuss.

Lovely views of the river, in close proximity to some major attractions. Comfortable rooms and quite spacious as well! Great bar area and seems really safe, secure and homely. I’ve been a few times now over the last 12 years and while the rooms I’ve stayed in have never been renovated, they’re still comfortable and clean :)
Air conditioning or fans in the room would be a great addition as they do get very hot with only small amounts of ventilation. A small mini fridge would be an added bonus, would be nice to be able to keep drinks etc cold.

Location was good
Staff not overly helpful. I messaged in advance and warned we would be there earlier than check in but going to a festival. Was told if room is available we could check in. When I asked if we were able to check in got a flat no then was ignored while we just stood there even though we asked to store bags. I also had a reservation for lunch and stood for 10 mins in doorway while someone cleaned tables and ignored us so we left and went elsewhere. Room was on ground floor and very noisy, people walking past window at all hours, noisy neighbours. Bed and room were also both really small

Our room (45) was lovely. Decor a little dated in places but great value for money. View was stunning. Amenities in the room were perfect - lots of mirror space which I loved. Mattress was firm, but really comfortable. Shower pressure was excellent and really hot. Full English breakfast was absolutely delicious.
I think the continental part of the breakfast was a little lacking and not much variety, especially for the cost. A socket in the room behind the bedside table is faulty, and there is a wall panel coming away from the wall exposing what is behind it.

The room was clean. The shower was ok, but quite dated now. The breakfast was expensive for what it was. £14 for a basic English breakfast. Many places do unlimited English breakfast for around that price. Also had to ask a couple of times to have the drinks and condiments brought out. The staff were friendly enough and the hotel was good enough for what I needed
Over priced breakfast and poor service at breakfast

The location is absolutely amazing! The staff were friendly and attentive, both of our rooms were a great size!
Very little, though the cooked breakfast was a little small for £14 (one veggie sausage,.one egg, one hash brown, etc.). The rooms are a little dated (ours had a large bleach stain on the carpet), but it's just cosmetic, the rooms were clean and secure.

This is totally my sort of hotel. Give me a slightly past-its-best characterful hotel, full of history and charm, any day. Creaky floorboards, lovely old beams in the restaurant. Very quiet, peaceful setting, right by the River Thames. Beside a lovely church and attractive cottages. And yet so close to London and urban sprawl if you need it. Nice friendly staff. A great breakfast. Decent dinners.
A bit of noise from the kitchen air con below my room in the rear of the hotel. Not too bad though.

Property was very clean, bed huge. The man who was on reception morning shift couldn’t thank him enough he made our day, was very polite, informative and helped us with our queries to get into London and to “explore”
- on a night time, came back at hotel around 11 there was nobody on reception for me to collect my key. Couldn’t find anybody, instead walking around the hotel finding someone. - the club room, not worth the upgrade personally we thought as a couple. - Check in time 14:00 thought that was very late? - Location wasn’t ideal, nothing around. The only good thing is the train station is up the road…

Very comfortable room, quiet, nice view of the river. Semi-rural location about a 20-minute walk from train station. Some nice walks available close by. Food was good, and the bar/lounge was nice, but could be better with more staffing and more of a welcoming/ “stay a while” atmosphere. Staff generally accommodating.
Minimal information provided , dining room hours seemed odd (i.e. dining room was closed on Sunday evening, but this info wasn’t posted anywhere). Staffing levels seemed inadequate (a common problem these days). No lift/elevator.
