Good size bed, excellent air con, clean fluffy towels and good toiletry products. Nice selection of tea & coffee, and snacks! Lovely pub and selection of food and great breakfast options. Very reasonable prices. Despite our room facing onto the high street, there was no noise disturbance and we had a great sleep.

Was unable to open the curtains as it was a ground floor room facing onto the high street and there was no net curtain to obscure people from looking in. Suggest adding frosted manifestation to the windows to enable natural light into the room. However this did not ruin our stay - only a suggestion. Would definitely return if in the area.

From arrival, the staff were great. I needed a phone charger which Andrew found and actually sought me out to give it to me. Barman in afternoon was friendly and helpful, as were all the bar/restaurant staff. Friendly, professional and actually seemed to care about you as a customer. The room was spacious and decorated in a warm and cosy manner, while still having all the mod cons including a coffee pod machine. The tea tray was something else, In a good way! Dinner was served hot (which makes a change), was delicious and good value. The bar and restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere and as a lone traveller, very much appreciated. The outside area was well looked after, comfy and had a great vibe in the evening when it was busy and filled with groups of people chatting. Overall, it was one of the best hotel stays I have had for a long time. I would highly recommend and will certainly return. A real gem!

Arrived early and our room was already vacant and clean Very hot day and air con was most appreciated and on in our room. Spotlessly clean although this room was a little dark ,but very quiet considering quite near to a busy road. Gated coded entry to quite spacious free car park behind hotel. Receptionist very welcoming and booked in quickly. This is a pub also so we ate there too. Food and service very good and not too expensive. Lots of varied places to eat in or outside area .

Can’t really fault it except our room was a bit dark and beds move if you sit on the side .

Lovely decor and staff - all were friendly, polite and helpful. excellent location for thorpe park, nice little town centre, easy to book and check in, check out etc. Modern room with facilties, very happy with room rates

Unfortunately about to close for a couple of weeks refit, so frontage got the scaffolding covering the beautiful exterior, also bathroom a bit tired and stained...about to be done I bet, room key card always took 3 tries to get in door, no main overhead light in room, nice character having several lamps but difficult to get ready. Food was v nice but felt the pricing of food and drink a bit high and several items unavailable (as closing cannot replenish i understand but just a down point) Bed 2 singles together and hard join ie

The interiors are beautiful. The rooms are behind the pub so it’s nice and quiet with the option to go downstairs for a drink where there’s a nice atmosphere. It’s really modern and clean and the food is delicious. It was the nicest dinner and breakfast that I’ve had in such a long time! The beds were comfortable and there was air con. The shower heads were lovely, lovely soft towels, a mini bar, bottled water ready for you and a lovely smell throughout. I felt like I was staying at the ned. Such a lovely getaway.

Friendly staff, very good breakfast and dinner - the best fish and chips had in a long time. The pub area was very welcoming with games and comfy seating. Loved the espresso machine in the room. Generally speaking, the room was very comfortable. The security was very good.

No fridge in the room, fresh milk was provided but the room was quite warm so by the morning it wasn't as fresh as we would have liked. The pillows were quite lumpy. Some areas could have been a bit cleaner, i.e., the top of the espresso machine was dusty, and the toilet pan had a slight crack in it. Could have done with some more hangers in the wardrobe.

Everything was great! The room was comfortable and big. The staff were very kind! The hotel is separated from the pub side and we weren’t hearing any excess noise or anything like that. I did enjoy that we could drop our bags in the room and then go into the pub side and feel like you aren’t in a hotel. It’s different and it was really great! There’s great decor, The staff were helpful and very sweet. I’d highly recommend for short stays if visiting the area!

In the restaurant, the starters and mains were sent out at the same time but the staff was very apologetic and offered to send the mains back as we finished our starters which was kind. The slight disorganisation is the only piece of criticism I would have. Other than that, we had a lovely stay at the property and it was perfect for what we needed🙏

We had room 40 (1st floor) for 2-nights, a spacious double with an extra large bed. There was a small lift to the 1st & 2nd floors - helpful for anyone with luggage or a mobility issue. The 6ft bed and bedding were very nice / good quality and the air con worked extremely well. There was a blind and black-out curtains at the bedroom window, which nicely shielded out the early morning summer light. The room had a small settee, large TV + a kettle, 2 large cups and tea & coffee making facilities. There was a small desk, which was helpful for anyone with work to do. The en-suite bathroom had a large walk-in shower plus a heated towel rail which was on constantly and encouraged the drying and re-use of towels. There are about 20 car parking spaces at The Crown and we were able to get a space during our stay on a Monday & Tuesday night - however, I imagine it would be more difficult to get a space at the weekend. We had a drink and an evening meal at The Crown - fish & chips & mushy peas ! - and found the quality and quantity to be excellent.

The sink in the en-suite bathroom was extremely small, to the extent it was difficult to refill the kettle or water bottles.

Amazing stay from start to finish, very polite and attentive staff, lovely breakfast , had some balloons put in room that I sent for my partners birthday and I was kept in contact with the delivery of these which was great. Would recommend definitely if you are going to Thorpe park as it’s only a 6 min drive away which was perfect for us . If in the area again will definitely stay here. Thank you so much to all the team at The crown hotel.

I cannot rate the Crown highly enough. 4 of us in two rooms stayed for 2 nights at a very reasonable price inclusive of breakfast. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. We ate in the restaurant the first evening. The menu was very good and food well presented and tasty. All the staff we encountered were professional, polite and very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious with all the facilities you could need. Thanks to all concerned for a pleasant stay.
