First if you can find your way to Staines on Thames, it is a very special area for living, raising families, and enjoying nature. It has verdure that is 100% eco-friendly. The water table provide wlldlife and botany an extraordinaire study of our diverse biosphere. Very beautiful trees everywhere. birds everywhere. Shopping centers are practical and user friendly and most interesting is the BUS TERMINAL Hub is located there. The Thames Lodge has undergone review with a new owner "SUNDAY GROUP" and showing beautification of the property and outdoor eatery now with night lighting. Place is digital, no cash used there and most of the rooms have excellent water pressure and if you get a room with issues report them and they will find a better room. One side is cool on the river side. and One side is warm on the city side facing. Beds are excellent and the service in the kitchen and bar area is good with top menu and reasonable pricing. Just remember NO ELEVATOR. so its steps and walking to your room in the maze of rooms.

Having stayed here for many weeks, we are seeing how the rooms vary. Some of them have issues with pipe pressure or toilet flushing but overall the riverside view has larger rooms. Do ask if you have the right category of room choice. They are all different. This is a vintage property style hotel. It is under new management and with the key codes for the room and building it is very secure. I would encourage the check in host to let the client know what type of room they got. Facing river, Facing town and there is room service.

I recently spent an incredible week at this hotel, and I must say the experience exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring every aspect of my stay was perfect. The room was spotless, spacious, and equipped with everything I needed, including a very comfortable bed that ensured restful nights. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, keeping the room in perfect condition throughout my stay. The hotel offered comfortable and well-maintained facilities, which made my stay very pleasant. While everything was excellent, I did miss having a small fridge in the room, which would have made the experience absolutely perfect. The location was ideal, providing easy access to local attractions while offering a quiet and relaxing environment to unwind. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Every detail was carefully thought out, making my stay an absolute pleasure. I would not hesitate to return and will definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

It is an older hotel that recently changed hands. Ours was a room on the back which opened out to a path on the Thames River. Hotel was reasonably priced. Room was clean. Bathroom was good and shower was great. Location was good with the town and shopping a short distance away.Wide choice of restaurants and several supermarkets.Shopping good in town as well. A little bigger village than we imagined. Pleasant walks along the Thames were convenient. Would stay her again.

Hotel is called Sunday London but sign on building is Thames Lodge, unsure if we were in right place with taxi from Heathrow. Black taxi from airport was 40 pounds for a less than 5 mile trip. Would recommend Uber which was 29 pounds. if driving, has a small car park, costs 10 pounds a day if you have a car. Another guest told us it is unsafe to be out after dark but we felt safe wandering around in the daytime.

Good location, clean basic rooms, polite helpful staff, value for money. You get what you pay for: this works.

These are not complains: we had a good stay. There are merely observations so you could manage your expectations. The place has two different names: none like on your booking confirmation. The place doesn’t look like on the pictures, but we expected that given the price was low. Sound proofing- can you actually improve it? Not sure for this type of building. A peculiar old fashioned bathroom. Ventilation - does it exist? The room felt hot during the night. Parking charged extra, we get the idea.

Great location. Walking distance from Staines train station one way and the town centre the other. Situated right on the river and easy to find. Good value overall! Check in staff very polite, gave us the room next door when the bathroom light decided it wasn't going to work. Room has everything you'd need and if you need anything more you can just message them on whatsapp. Very clean room, don't understand the lower cleanliness rating at all. Bed linen was spotless, pillows clean and soft, matress clean/new and very comfortable! Bathroom spotless not even a streak or watermark on the mirror. Room temperature easy to control even though there is no air con. Heated towel rack in bathroom will warm the room nicely and the windows open up onto the river giving you a nice breeze. Shower is amazing!

Classic room with river view doesn't have AC

Riverview room, nice with doors onto the walking path by the Thames, Breakfast was the standard English & Continental, but no tomatoes to go with the continental. Location on the River and within walking distance of the town centre was great. The Staff, from Sunday through to Wednesday, everyone we met was polite, helpful and smiling, always a big positive.

Parking, I Paid parking in a carpark too small, if you were late, no space and then you have to get a refund as I had paid for my parking on arrival. I understand there are renovations in progress but the amount of work vans, which do not fit in a car space and campervans parked up made it very difficult. Then late arrivals would just park and block you in.

Check in easy luckly we parked in car park as got there in the morning. Staff friendly and room lovely. Bit noisy first thing in the morning as our room was roadside but we only wanted a quick stay over so didn't check in until late in the evening so didn't really get to see restaurant or have breakfast so it suited us for our needs for one night stay. Bed so comfortable 😌

Shower pressure was not the best but was ok just for our one night. Road noise early morning and people being noisy in corridor but not enough to complain much about.

Stayed here 4 nights to visit Thorpe park and a trip into London Camden market and Chinatown had a great time £188 for a classic room for 4 night great value I did ask for a upgrade to a river view but they wanted £400 which is a lot so I didn’t upgrade I normally pay £10/£20 a night anywhere else to upgrade per night great hotel comfy bed very friendly staff had a great nights sleep had the room cleaned daily and fresh milk and tea bags I would definitely stay again

The staff at this hotel are absolutely amazing very helpfull and quick at attending to customer needs.exspecally Anna at the front desk she has took on board my situation and has helped me and gone beyond to as much as she can to make my situation pleasant and stress free please I would like to thank her from my heart she is an amazing lady and is a pleasure aswell as a very genuine kind hearted lady and will do her best to make my stay as comfortable as it can be and better.plesse make this notice to her as I would not of got through what I have with our her understanding and help thank you so much Anna I would like this to also go to the lady that runs the food restaurant my children really like her feel comfortable with her she has also made my children feel very happy in how she has helped them witb her kindness thank you to both members of staff thay are a shine and blessing to have on board your team.i am very appreciated to them both.

Very clean. Extremely pleasant staff. Always acknowledged me. Comfortable bed. Very large decent tv Didn’t like My room mate had breakfast and wasn’t impressed for the price. Bathroom a tad steamy after a shower. The shower in room 12 was very hard to turn on and I couldn’t stand under it even at number 1 as it was too hot. Oh wait this is what did I like!!!!! Green!!! I am an ex Staines person and it looks awful green. Also some of the building looks in need of repair out the back (woodwork) The bedside tables don’t match and look very cheap.
