Our host Edwina was the host of dreams! We were held up in London traffic and would be arriving later than anticipated, we let her know - no problem. When we did arrive, we had trouble locating the house as our Sat Nav kept taking us too far along the road. She waited outside at the roadside to flag us down. She showed us to our room, huge bed and big bathroom, tv, tea/coffee facilities. Told us a good pub to grab dinner. Bed was super comfy. Full cooked breakfast in the morning, which was delicious. The house is only a 15 minute drive to Hampton Court Palace, which was the purpose of our stay. 10 out of 10.

Nothing. It was a superb stay and we would recommend it. We've told family and friends about it and would 100% stay again ourselves.

Bed was comfortable; supportive. Room, large. Breakfast tea was excellent. Room was clean. Host had interesting outlook. Nearby pub was useful before and after staying here.

Didn't enjoy the scrambled eggs which seemed tainted with salmon flavours: I don't like fish flavoured anything. Plus, the breakfast glasses/setting/table were not clean. While breakfasting, cleaners entered my room, moved my things around and prepared it for the next guests: This should not have happened as there was plenty of time before checkout time.

A beautiful house within walking distance of Esher high street. Our room was sufficiently spacious for our teenage son to sleep on a camp bed. The bathroom was modern and large, the shower excellent. We enjoyed views over greenery and ample light in both bedroom and bathroom. The road is not a main one and we were not bothered by the noise of traffic. The full English breakfast was fabulous!

The suite was beautiful and comfortable, Edwina was a nice host and the English breakfast was great, also she provided us a power adapter that seems to be used only in UK

The issue with this property is public transport, it could take around 1hr 20min to reach London central and around 2hr 20 min to reach Heathrow Airport with multiple transfers and waking distances. This is more of a problem for uk and it’s awful transport system we you compared it with other European countries, besides that the transport is extremely expensive so take it in consideration if you plan to stay here and use the public transport, around the hotel place there is not much to do

Beautiful house over 200 years old . Lovely warm welcoming feel when you step inside . Very clean comfortable and a lovely room overlooking the garden . Lovely and quiet and a fabulous breakfast to wake up to . Great place to stay .

Nothing loved it all . As I said above couldn't fault it at all . Lovely quiet location and very comfortable bed which we had a lovely sleep and felt ready for the day ahead . Would well recommend to anyone looking for a lovely break in a place near to London . Esher has a lot to offer as well good pubs and close to sandown race course .

Great location - went to Hampton Court Flower Show! Great pub down the road and a lovely garden centre with PYO facilities! Edwina was a great host she will remember us as the chatty ones 😃 Lovely full English both mornings on our stay! Had everything you need for your stay! Parking was good didn’t use my car whilst we were there which was good after the commute.

Nothing to fault - was everything we needed!

Quiet. Clean. The host who ran it was friendly and happily answered our questions. The furnishings were interesting and functional and looked like antiques. The room was very spacious with large windows and beautiful drapery. Linens were of high quality, too. The full English breakfast was filling, good, and thoughtfully put together. Wi-fi was good. Location has nice sidewalks for a stroll around a neat, safe neighborhood. It was a half block from the Price of Wales pub, which was a highlight of our visit because people (servers and guests) and pets were friendly, and food and drinks were good.

Nothing of big note. Shower curtain was a little tricky to keep closed. I couldn't find the light switch in the bathroom and was afraid to pull the cord next to the door that probably turned on the lights... plenty of natural light during the day. If I'd had another day, I would have taken a leisurely soak in the nice big tub. Steps to room were a little steep, but I've dealt with a lot worse.

Excellent location for my needs, very quiet and peaceful and yet in easy reach of everything. Edwina made me feel very welcome. She also cooked an excellent breakfast which set me up for the day!

Although the place was great it may not be to everyone's taste as it was much more like staying with a favourite relative and some might like something more anonymous. Parking was a little tight but that was not the fault of West End Lodge rather those around the property. This may well have been solved by the time the next person comes along as it was due to building work nearby, this was not noisy or intrusive I hasten to add. However, I managed better than I thought I would.
