Great pub in a fantastic location, walking distance to the train station and Claygate village. Breakfast included which was great value. Staff couldn't do enough to make your stay a welcoming one. Well done to the chefs the food was really good. Popular restaurant with the locals.

Rooms are rather small with no room for a fridge. It's a shuffle around trying to accommodate 2 suitcases. We did notice a larger room upstairs and for the 9 nights we stayed it would've been nice to have had that. Ask for the bigger room when booking.

Everything, the room was great and perfect for what I needed, modern, perfectly clean and well fitted out. Everything needed was there. For the price and considering the area it's in it was great value for money. Also the staff are great, everyone I spoke to was professional, friendly and helpful... also a staff member in the bar kindly mentioned that there is a discount on food for hotel guests, and offered me water to take back to the room after my meal, she didn't need to take the time to do that but she did, it was really appreciated. Finally the food was lovely, it's a bit expensive but the portions are bigger than normal tapas, I think 2 per person is enough which would make it more affordable. Breakfast service also with a smile again and was prompt, much appreciated as I needed to get out quite quickly to get to the office. All in all, I will certainly stay there again if I need an overnight stay in the area! Very nice work by the team there 👏

Just three very minor things. The pillows weren't good, I needed 3 of them together to be comfortable. Also I was in a lower floor room and when the person above walked about the noise was quite intrusive. Finally there isn't much parking on the front, but you can park just up the road.

The room was comfortable and clean but a bit small. I opted to eat my evening meal in the restaurant/pub which was very tasty. The breakfasts (big breakfast and vegetarian) were very good. The staff were very peasant

The destination car charger for EV's was a nightmare and even though I tried 3 time to charge, didn't work. I followed the instructions and entered all my details (10pm at minus 1 degree) it waited to connect but just failed. No reason given, so nothing I could correct. So I just had to start again and re-enter all my details again. It doesn't save them. I know I did this correct because the system " reserved" £25 each time from my bank account. £75 in all, which a week later is still pending! If the accommodation offers this, it should make sure it works for its customers. Don't blame the 3rd party supplier.

We stayed for 2 nights. The rooms are at the back of the pub in seperate apartments. We had room 1, which was up the steps. The manager lead us there and explained breakfast times etc. The door opened into the bedroom, where there was a king size bed, a small alcove to the right with ironing board, iron and rail with hangers. There was a table under the window with a TV and kettle and cups, coffee, tea.. There was air con too. The bathroom was huge and amazing with spot lights which came on when the door was opened. The walk in shower was lovely. Breakfast was yum. We unfortunately didn't eat or drink there in the afternoon / eve as we were visiting family. However, we plan on meeting there for food next time as the menu looks amazing, and the place is lovely. Parking - the spaces were all taken so we found a space on the road - it was no problem. Spaces become available throughout the day/night.

Standard room size by UK standards but took some adjusting for us as we are used to much larger spaces in Canada. We would stay there again. Would love a “lighter breakfast” perhaps with some yoghurt/fruit added. Big English Breakfast is great on occasion but not for longer stays. Staff did bring us a downsized version upon request.

Beautiful accommodations - modern and clean, well maintained premises. Location is great - beautiful green surroundings. It's also easy to catch a taxi or Uber from there. Lovely atmosphere created by the staff and regular patrons from the community - we found people warm, welcoming and helpful. The food was great! Breakfast was a treat and the coffee is absolutely lovely! One of my best and I'm a stickler for good coffee in the morning! The neighbourhood is safe and the air is so clean!.Easy check in and check out process. We loved our stay and will be back for sure!

Nothing not to like. Only the bed in our unit needs to be checked as it is a bit lopsided, but it wasn't terrible. And the rooms are a bit small but not unusual for the UK.

Very nice room, well appointed, very clean, however the bed was a little small, but then the rooms are also small so anything bigger may have been a challenge. Room was in a separate building to the main pub/restaurant and the door to the room goes straight outside which makes it a little motel-ish, but it wasn't an issue, the room and bathroom were very nice. We price was very reasonable, especially if you consider the amazing breakfast which would probably be valued at about £40.00 + for the two of us and was really good quality, fresh and delicious

Bed was a little small (standard double I think 4.6')

Lovely little find. I stayed there ahead of a cycling event, which had a start nearby. Rooms are actually on the side of the pub and quiet, so no noise or smells from the pub. There's a small car park but plenty of room to park on the street. There's an ev charging point, too. Very clean and modern rooms, better than expected. Also, the food in the restaurant was delicious! I had to leave early, so unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try their breakfast but would definitely stay again if in the area. Highly recommended.

There is a little window in the room door, which with the light outside makes the room still quite bright afrer turning the room light off. Maybe they could install a little blind or curtain. Otherwise all perfect :)

Due to flight times we called before just to make sure that if we arrived a bit after last check-in this we would be OK and were reassured that this was no problem which was a great help. The room was excellent, modern fittings and a really great shower. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. All the staff were super helpful and pleasant.

Wouldn't go as far as saying these are things that we didn't like, just recommendations that would improve even more: A corner chair or something similar would have been a nice addition to the room, it can be handy when you're a couple, but that's my personal opinion. We arrived late to the village (aound 22:00) straight from Heathrow, just be aware that it is a quiet Surrey village at this time of night so if you're a bit hungry try and pick something up on the way.

Lovely rooms with their own doors and window to outside little courtyard at the back of the restaurant. Almost like mews rooms. Has aircon if needed. Just great little attention to details. The spanish restaurant attached is amazing. Make sure you book for dinner as it gets super busy with locals. The a la carte breakfast is also served in the restaurant and is great with great coffee. There are a few spaces at the front, but these get filled quickly. There is plenty of space down the lane though, so no issue ever finding spaces. Close to Claygate and Esher which have lots of restaurants and pubs/bars.

Hard to think of anything I did not like but improvements I would suggest would be nespresso machines in rooms, coffee granules or bags as the cafetiere and ground coffee make a bit of a mess and if you want to make another coffee, need to rinse out all the coffee grinds etc. If you are a light sleeper, request a room without the rooms above, if free, because noisy guests walking around can be heard. Never been an issue for me.
