Booked here very last minute after returning home from holiday without our car keys to get home. Staff were so helpful- brought a case up to my room as they saw I was overloaded and had two young children to round up. Free evening buffet for children with purchase of an adult meal- made the expensive food seem way more reasonable. Same with breakfast. Clean, easy for airport, didn’t charge my husband for parking the next day when he collected us, even though he overstayed the free half hour. Bathroom pretty dated, but what I expected. Room had been updated so didn’t feel too basic. Made a stressful situation seem like an extension of our holiday.

Didn’t like the £18 taxi journey from the airport that took all of 2 minutes.

Although the hotel is very big it didn't feel it. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean. The TV had lots of channels to choose from, which is important when staying with teenagers. We were on the 4th floor, and it was pretty quiet. We were visiting friends that lived locally, so we didn't use the restaurant or have breakfast.

I felt the price of the car park was hefty. £20 a night. It was reduced to £45 for our 3 night stay, I still felt that it was a lot of money to pay. My only faults with the room were that the mattress felt lumpy and the lighting wasn't very good. Just spotlights next to the bed.

Overall a good hotel, rooms are clean, basic toiletries are provided. My room had both a/c and electric heater - which meant I could warm the room without the noise of a/c. Location is ok, it is neither too close to nor too far from the airport - there is a shuttle bus departing every 15 mins from the hotel - takes about 10-15mins to get to Gatwick airport. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment on it. Check-in experience was ok, except one issue i described below

in my reservation i asked for a quite room away from lifts. this request was partially met - they did assign me a room away from lift area, however, the room was facing the main street and it was quite noisy (at least for me). sound insulation was not good, so I could hear cars driving by. I went to the reception and asked for a room on the opposite side but was told that no room on that side is available. Could not fall asleep; finally at around midnight went to reception again. another guy was there, who immidiately gave me room on the other side and which actually had one large double-bed as I originally booked rather than two single beds that i was given at the arrival.

Amazing service. Great hopper to and from Airport. Food was great. Lounge area nice. Reception team were so helpful.

Bed could have been more comfortable. Felt like there was a topper not quite in position. Toilet very low, not sure if they are all like that, but difficult for people with hip problems. Also would be great if they could look at the doors. Unfortunately all night I kept waking up because people were closing doors. 😞 If these things were addressed it would be incredible 😍 Luckily you have a fantastic team that makes everyone feel so welcome.

Staff were incredibly accommodating and helpful. Including recognizing that our stay was going to be less than 24 hours in total, and so didn't charge us the full amount for parking; we also had some requests they were more than happy to oblige. Check-out was quick and easy. Location was great for the airport and for nipping into London for an afternoon. Stay was comfy enough.

Request for a double bed went unheeded and we ended up with two singles we needed to push together, but I get that this can sometimes be an availability issue. Stay was rather expensive for one night and for what was a fairly standard Holiday Inn experience - clearly paying for location.

Was a handy location for the airport. Stayed before an early flight from Gatwick. Room was clean and staff were friendly! There is a shuttle bus to the airport from right outside the hotel door (this isn't included in the price though, for us it was £4.50 each)

We arrived a bit too late to get food although they do have options that are available 24 hours but unfortunately the items we were looking for weren't a part of that. Very busy and bit of waiting time to check in but that can't be helped when it's such a busy hotel.

I had requested an early check in and they were able to do that for me. I also requested a late check out which they were able to do for me, both at no extra charge, i really appreciated that. They have a shuttle that runs 24 hrs a day between Gatwick Airport and the Hotel and it goes every 20 minutes. I believe they are adding on extra buses now so it will run even more often during busier parts of the day...cost is good 4.50 BPS per person. versus the 40.00 cdn i paid for a taxi one way to get there in the first place this is fantastic. i definitely recommend this hotel.

The check-in and check-out are fast and easy, with pleasant staff helping you through the process. The rooms are really very decent for an airport hotel with plenty of space and comfort and every detail thought out (e.g. the shower controls are intuitively easy, something fairly rare in my experience; there is a small hand-rail next to the bath-tub to avoid slippages etc etc). I had been expecting something fairly functional and basic due to the nature of airport hotel chains, but was pleasantly surprised that the service went beyond this.

A very regular shuttle service at the times that flights are required. Surprisingly quiet although we arrived after 8:00 and left at 6:00 in the morning. In a way it's pretty standard and quite basic but it was comfy we slept well The tea and coffee facilities are much of a muchness and you never really expect much there. we didn't use the bar or the restaurant but people seem to be enjoying themselves so all in all for an airport hotel It wasn't too bad at all. It did what we needed

Signage around the airport and from the approach roads (we use the motorway) should be much better ...we only saw one sign and that was not well placed. Yes you can use apps and maps and Google but in the heat of the moment it will be nice to have good signage like many of the other hotels do

We stayed at this hotel after arriving at Gatwick and decided to do the same before flying out again. The hotel is in a great location especially for early morning departures or late evening arrivals. Our room during our second stay was larger and more comfortable for the 3 of us and luggage. The shuttle service to the airport is very convenient and departs regularly. We had a meal at the restaurant the evening before departure and the food was good and staff were friendly and attentive.

We didn’t have a fridge in our room or a hairdryer which was inconvenient but no other issues.
