Check in was very easy with staff at the desk. The bed was comfortable and hotel was quiet at night.

There was no bedside table or any table at all but in fairness I already knew this before I reserved the room. For the price and for a short stay it is okay, maybe larger rooms have more furniture but I was only there for 1 night due to an early morning flight so I just needed a clean and comfortable bed and bathroom, which was provided.

The beds are super comfy with great views and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I also like the late checkout option

Checkout is at 10am when there’s really no need as the cleaner does. Not come around until gone 11am. There is also a water machine that only uses tap water instead of bottled. In london, the tap water is barely drinkable, so bottle water really should be used. I think a table and a lamp in the room with bottled water should be a minimum requirement.

I was in an upgraded room & it was good. Might be nice if there were more plug sockets and a bedside light, but I was there 1 night so it was fine. Building is obviously quite old, so the outer windows clearly show this, while inner secondary glazing is good - very much needed as my room was quite noisy with trans trains and traffic

I had a very comfortable night's sleep, so the bed was very comfortable. The room and en-suite shower was also nice and clean. The coffee from the vending machine was also good.

They didn't explain about using the key and I think assumed that I had stayed there before. I had to make several trips up and down in the lift before I could settle in the room. Although staff were not rude, I felt they could have been a bit more helpful and welcoming.

Staff were friendly and helpful (especially Krish, thank you), room was clean and comfortable. For the price I paid I was very happy with my stay and would stay again.

I'd appreciate a table/desk and chair, even a small one for one person, as it got uncomfortable having to do many things whilst sitting on my bed. Other than that, I would happily stay again.

Cleanliness just basic

Should have been told there was no window was very claustraphobic and nowhere to put my medication and phone had to put it all on the floor and the tv too far up the wall and no plastic cup when I brushed my teeth had to scoop water in my hand to swill my mouth out I know it's a basic room but for the cost it needs a bit more in the room and as I said at the beginning you need to be told it has no window in the room

The hotel is just around the corner off the East Croyden station. It’s a good value for money budget hotel. Don’t expect anything fancy it’s cheap so everything is just basic and for me that’s all I need.

The room doors slam shut when being closed. Perhaps they should at this to reduce to noice off doors slamming in the middle of the night.

When you book this property, you have to know that it is a "cheap" one, with elementary facilities, but it does work if you need to save money, stay close to the station and spend one or two nights at the most. Don't have high expectations; otherwise, book another one nearby that would cost at least 30 pounds more per night.

As I said, it was cheap so I didn't expect much, just to be very clean and it was.

You get what you pay for - a comfortable bed for the night with clean bedding and a clean en-suite bathroom. Yes, it's basic but you go there as a stopover to get a nights sleep not to go on holiday. This hotel has also been re-furbished since I was last there so reception is a lot better (with super helpful staff too!), there are new vending machines for coffee and snacks and the security arrangements to get to the rooms have really improved. If you are working in London and staying over for the night, I would highly recommend this place - it is literally a 2 minute walk from East Croydon station and regular Thameslink trains get you to London Bridge in 15 mins and Kings Cross in 30 mins. Whilst the hotel has no restaurant or bar, there are plenty of venues within a 5 minute walk around East Croydon including the amazing Boxpark (recommended!) Overall, for a one night stay as a solo business traveller working in London, Croydon EasyHotel meets my requirements for a clean and comfortable stay. I would also recommend this hotel as a stopover for an early flight from Gatwick which is then easily accessible on direct trains from East Croydon.

I know its a basic room but a little shelf next to the beds to put phones, glasses, wallets etc on, would be to good to install in the future. The room would be sorted then!

You get what you pay for - well a little bit more, I actually think for a budget hotel it suited me - easy access into the city centre facilities - as a room you have what you need - only thing you could have is a little shelf on the bed for the phone or a mug. There’s a great little car park for £4.35 from 6pm-7am as well near the courts
