The staff was very accomodating and friendly. Jesse & Francis were especially kind and helpful. The location is outstanding--close to the park, shops, cafés, bus line and trains. The Westow itself has tasty fare. The rooms are quaint, squeaky clean, the housekeepers honor the "Do Not Disturb" sign (which I really appreciated), and it was peaceful, comfy and quiet. I thought a room above a pub would be noisy, but it wasn't at all! I slept like a baby, which I rarely ever do. The rooms have their own HVAC unit. I was there for the Crystal Palace Film Festival and the Everyman theatre is just two blocks away.

It says they serve breakfast til 11 am, but they really mean 10:30 am.

Have stayed several times, it is a perfect location for visiting family. Staff are friendly and breakfast is plentiful.

There was a fire alarm at 5:30 a.m. one morning. OK this happens but the response to the alarm shows a need for staff training. When the alarm went off people left their rooms and stood around at the front of the pub, not where the fire information sheet on the door said to assemble. Nobody came out to check the everyone had left their rooms and I did hear one woman say that her husband had refused to leave the bed. After about 15 minutes the fire brigade came and entered the building and about the same time a couple re-entered the building by the night door to get some belongings and were not stopped. Luckily it was a false alarm. This is more information for the management of Westow House to help them improve their fire safety process. As I do like staying there and will return again

Room - great, comfortable, lovely toiletries, comfy bed, high standard of cleanliness & decor.

Had a lovely room on the 2nd floor - Friday night was fine with some (expected) pub noise … & Saturday was more challenging with loud music (however it is a busy pub with rooms & so to be expected) music stopped before midnight. There are rooms another floor up - will book earlier next time! Dinner was great - good range of plant based / vegetarian. Breakfast limited for vegan - the ‘plant based’ breakfast arrived with 2 eggs (not on the menu) … the spread for the toast was butter, we swapped bits between us but overall not quite there yet as a satisfying plant based offer.

Positioned next to Crystal Palace Park and the bus station, right near all the shops it was a perfect location. Our room was gorgeous on the top floor with views all over London. It was hot but there was air conditioning which worked perfectly. We even had a little study room which we didn’t use but it would be perfect if one of us needed to work quietly. The staff were all delightful and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The pub downstairs was very noisy on Saturday night but we didn’t hear a thing once we were in our room. I had worried about there being no car park but we were able to park on street for free just round the corner and we could actually see our car from our window! Turned out to be no problem at all.

Place is beautiful, nicely decorated and spacious. Room was very comfy and cosy. Food was very good. Handy to have a good restaurant onsite too. Was a great location for what I needed (I was attending a nearby festival in Crystal palace park) so was perfect for me. Hotel part is securely separate from the bar and the noise doesn't really travel, which I was surprised at as when you walk through to head upstairs it's very noisy but is very quiet once you get to your room.

Bar is very busy so sometimes it's difficult to get the attention of staff, specifically for hotel requests. I'd have liked a few more healthy options for breakfast for hotel guests (fruit, cereals perhaps). Or option for scrambled eggs (to be honest I never asked, but didn't notice them on the menu). Only other thing was the blind in my bathroom didn't fully cover the window, but it isn't a major issue (if no one is spying on you!)

the location, the staff, the facilities available in the room. the area is very pleasant and the transport facilities are excellent. the staff was extremely friendly and polite, always ready to accommodate any requests we had. unfortunately I haven't had a chance to try the food in the pub but it looked delicious. the heating and the air con worked really well which was important as it was quite cold during our stay. same goes for hot water: always available and easy to grade to out preferred temperature. the tea/coffee amenities were a life.saver, as we ended up having a few snacks in our room (that's why we missed having a place to sit ;-))

I missed a few things, mainly details, but which would have improved my experience: a mini fridge and seating options in the bedroom, even if just a pair of small stools under the counter, would have made a difference. Besides that, the shower doesn't have a door, just a glass pane half the size of the shower, which doesn't prevent the whole floor from becoming wet while showering.

We had visited Westow House on a few occassions as our daughter lives near by but this was a first time staying there. It did not disappoint. Staff are very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The room was very clean and welcoming, it had everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast, I can highly recommend the Smoked Salmon and Scambled Eggs. Dont be afraid to ask to adapt the breakfast menu the staff are very accomodating. It was a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend staying at Westow House. Oh and did I mention cross the road and you are in Crystal Palace Park a wonderful place for a walk, and there is a great food market on a Sunday.

Nothing I didn't like but if I was being very picky a couple of armchairs in the room would of been nice instead of sitting on the bed. There was plenty of room to accomodate them.

Good location for attending an event at Crystal Palace concert bowl. Short walk from venue. Although the pub was busy when we came to check in late at night, it quietened down and was not noisy at all after that. Well, until the next morning when as a busy road traffic noise was quite intense. Lovely staff, decent room nice bed and linen. Few cracks in bathroom tiles could be attended to, but better than we expected as rooms above a pub most certainly. Easy check in at night - even with a busy pub.

Beautifully decorated with modern amenities. The location was perfect for Crystal Palace events. The room was a good size, with air con and heater. Lovely bathroom with great products. Good tea tray too. Breakfast was excellent Check in easy, friendly and professional staff. I’d forgotten to pack a few items and staff were happy to help provide them. The bar was busy as it was an event day at Crystal Palace, but we were served quickly.

Nothing. We won’t hesitate to go back when going to Crystal Palace for another festival

The property was very cosy with opulent decor. The location was fantastic for us to visit family. Our rooms very clean and decor lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable. The food in the pub was exceptional, all very well presented and tasty with the added bonus of 20% discount for pub guests. The staff were so accommodating, especially helpful and couldn’t do enough for my 90 yr old father. Although the pub was very busy, once you were behind the fire doors and into your room it was very tranquil. We will definitely being going back.

The only issue for myself was that there wasn’t sufficient light in the room for me to apply makeup and do my hair, a large lighted mirror would have made all the difference.
