Great hotel if you only need bed & good breakfast. The staff were very nice and inviting. Special thanks to Adrienne: when the asian colleague told her it was my daughter's birthday, she and the brasilian colleague arranged a little surprise for her breakfast. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning. There are two train stations within 15 minutes walk. From there, it's a 20 minute journey to London Bridge, but you can go to other destinations. Highly recommended: install TFL app, it's a great way to figure out how to get to where you want.

If you don't know your way around London: Croydon is two hours away from Stansted airport, but close to Gatwick.

Very clean, well equipped rooms with friendly attentive staff.. A well presented hotel in the centre of Croydon. Within a 10-minute walk of East Croydon station and easy connections to London Victoria, Gatwick, Brighton the South Coast, etc.The breakfast was decent with a choice of full English (well almost) and neo Continental offering with a range of hot drinks, juices etc. Decent value would be recommended.

The £100 additional room deposit for potential damage was annoying. We are grown-ups on a business trip. Not teenagers in the Costa del Sol. Yet to have this returned after 2 days since checking out. Also, side plates for a self-service full English are annoyingly too small. Okay, for the Continental elements.

More than impressed with the quality of the food and the room, we were expecting a basic sort of room as your competitors offer, but the room was very comfortable, and larger than expected. The breakfast was delicous with top quality ingredients. Your staff are fantastic, friendly, so helpful..nothing is too much trouble

Downpoints.....1.The small amount of parking is not great. 2. The bar ran out of many items, and a delivery never arrived. We would happily book again for our next trip in November, but maybe with a discount and pre booked

We had a very nice stay here. We chose this place because we flew into Gatwick, and it's just about 15–20 minutes from the airport by train! We really enjoyed the breakfast: there were plenty of options, the staff kept the stations well-stocked, and they were always ready to help. Adrienn and Adela were especially kind to us! There are many shopping and dining options just a few steps away, and public transport connections are excellent. Bus, tram, train, tube—everything was within a short walk, which was a game-changer with kids.

We were a group of three and had a family sized room which was great. We had enough space, the room was clean, good air conditioner and a large bathroom. You could sleep comfortly. The house was quiet you couldn't really hear other guests beside you in other rooms. The breakfast was great. Everything nicely prepared and a large variety of food. Especially the english breakfast was to our liking. You could also get a to-go-bag if you have to leave early like we had to for our flight. The staff was really friendly and attentive. When we had a problem they immediately could help us

The only bad thing we had was that the sofa which was turned into a bed was not really that comfortable. But it could have been worse. And there was no brush for the toilet. I don't know if that is a German thing, but it is really nice if you don't want your companions to see what business you had on the toilet.

Excellent hotel. Delicious and varied breakfast. On the last morning we left early and were going to pack a dry breakfast with us, but it turned out that a full breakfast was ready after 6 am. 10 minutes walk from the railway station, 15 minutes from Gatwick airport and the same to London Bridge. There are many different shops nearby, including Lidl. The first night we checked in late and it was cold. I asked for an extra blanket and they made the air conditioning warmer. The next day it was already warm. I missed the information about the 50 pound deposit, I didn't want to pay it by card and they allowed me to leave the deposit in the EUR.

I love the the breakfast! They have different options and they are always hot. We also get to serve yourself. The staff were very polite and kind. The Supervisor was always going round the table to make sure guests are happy with their meal. The room is very clean and I love that they have daily room cleaning service. They also have nice seating area to welcome and chat with our guest. It is a short distance from the train station and close to different stores. I had a seven night stay with my family and would do it again.

Nothing. I will like to suggest that the hotel entrance from the street and signage should be cleaned or repainted. If you see the signage of the hotel from the street, you would think it is a run down hotel until you drive in and see the beautiful white building behind.

The room was very clean and well designed with a large television and sufficient plugs. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was also well designed and very clean. There was also complimentary coffee as well as an ironing board and blow dryer. The breakfast was also excellent.

There could have been some more space for clothes or more drawers close to the bed to put personal items. The lighting was good but could be improved with a little more thought. Time to start including a small fridge in the room. The surroundings were not so appealing as a result of garbage.

The staff at Holiday Inn were exceptional. You would not expect a chain hotel to provide such attentive service. I was highly impressed with the the service we got at the front desk as well as during breakfast. I will recommend purely based on the staff. Breakfast was simple but lovely, everything you need to get your day started. Well done to the team at Holiday Inn Express London Croydon!

The location however wasn't so great, but thats no fault of the hotel itself. Although was close to a train station so we could still get into London fairly easy.
