Nice room for the price. Only booked a small room (there was space for a desk and chair) as we were visiting family and not using the hotel facilities (no breakfast/dinner) Comfy bed and spotlessly clean toilet, sink and shower in the bathroom which was definitely bijou!
The slightly dodgy TV - we thought it was going to fall off the wall when we tried to move it out of its box to watch. Quickly resolved though when we mentioned it on Saturday morning so well done to the Hotel. Bathroom was cold and the heated towel rail wasn't working. Secondary glazing in the bathroom. Blind not easily accessible and the pull cord was broken but window was private so no need to use it. The whole window area and secondary glazing was in need of a good clean

The room was lovely, looking out over the pond at front of hotel. Bed was really comfortable. We stayed on one of the hottest nights of the year and the room was very warm. Only one window opened so was a little stuffy but we do not get many nights like that. The staff were really helpful and we had a relaxing stay.Checked out at 11 but went to terrace and ordered coffee and drinks and spent a couple of hours sitting in the sun, relaxing until it was time to go to wedding. The grounds are stunning and the hotel is beautiful.
My son had a room with Air Con so was a little envious, apart from that everything was great, we had enough room comfortable bed, lovely shower...nothing to 'not like'

This is a great place to stay if you are going in or out of Gatwick - where the hotel options are not all that fab. They have a lovely garden and terrace, if it's that time of year. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms are good. they serve breakfast from 6 AM, and the bar stays open until 11PM. We didn't have dinner, so I can't say what that was like, but breakfast was good - with a proper coffee machine that worked, and was easy to use. Amazing! And... it's 10 minutes from Gatwick. What really stood out though were the staff. Incredibly helpful. I - stupidly - left my glasses behind when we were coming home. This is what comes of wearing sunglasses for 2 weeks. Blissful. But you forget your proper glasses. Stanhill Court had them and was in touch with me before we even got home, and that despite the hotel being taken over for a wedding. They arranged to get them back to me, and couldn't have been nicer about it. So. Yes. Good Place!
Lift is noisy. Try to get a room away from it.

Location is very good and was convenient for my commuting to nearby Horsham, also far enough away from Gatwick airport that I heard no noise from planes during my stay. Room was very spacious and clean, with all facilities in full working order. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with a keen sense of customer satisfaction. Food in the restaurant in the evenings was very good. The breakfast had plenty of options on offer including full selection of decaffeinated drinks which was great.
The full English breakfast option only came with 1 hash brown, which was a little disappointing.

The building and location
There was a very noisy event taking place directly underneath our room. Staff were unable to move us to an alternative room. While fortunately the loud music stopped at 11pm staff were moving furniture in the disco area until the early hours so we had very little sleep. Furniture was being dragged across the floor. This completely spoilt our stay. We complained to the receptionist who didn’t seem to care and just said “sorry” and that was it. Also the breakfast was stone cold. We usually don’t complain but the response was really poor.

It is a hotel with a special character, has a kind of style and etiquette. We liked the staff, we enjoyed the breakfast, the room was quite reasonable. The surroundings are special, we saw deer nearby, it is located in the middle of nature and although it rained, we still took a walk around and was a pleasure.
We didn't understand why no Uber came to this hotel, or we did, but we still didn't like it. We had to take a taxi because we had failed with Uber countless times. Just 15 minutes from Gatwick and yet in the middle of nowhere. That wasn t good at all. It's the only reason we can't give it a 10

We travelled from Devon to attend my husbands Dad's funeral and to help sort out some of his affairs, so this five day visit was not one we were particularly looking forward to. The hotel is a lovely building, everywhere was very clean and well cared for and the food was beautiful.. The best part of the stay was without doubt the lovely staff...they were excellent in all aspects of their work, they really came across as a family of very happy employees who enjoyed their work and they all went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay which made the time away a really nice experience.....Thanks guys. We will certainly recommend you to our friends and family and will revisit when we are in the area. Kind Regards, Julie & Jason

Excellent stay! Loved the hotel, its grounds, and the relaxed feel of the place. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room we had was traditional, with a good ensuite, and all was beautifully clean. The countryside location of the hotel, and the morning view we had from our bedroom window of the roaming deer, couldn't have been bettered. We wouldn't hesitate to return.
The food was generally of a good standard.....aside from the side caesar sald which had about 10x too much dressing on it! More dressing than salad to be honest. Our room quality was very good but it was dying for a small table and two chairs to be placed next to the window so you could make the most of the view!

Nice surroundings . Lovely interior of hotel and room very nice . Bed was so comfortable also. Lots of tea & coffee. Staff very friendly. The people staying there seemed very nice too.
Couldn’t get a sandwich or snack late evening when returned from the wedding we attended.. And hotel is in the middle of nowhere so can’t pop to the shop to get anything . Also if you book through booking .com you can’t request early check in which would have been helpful. Almost impossible to contact them on the phone even though they say telephone with any questions! You get asked to leave a message & someone will contact you but it doesn’t happen . Did this about 4 times . Spoke to Noelle finally after choosing the option that I shouldn’t have but literally had no choice ….and she was very helpful.

Considering how close it is to Gatwick, the hotel is in a very pleasant country location, and it's a really nice building with very good public spaces. The room (the "cosy small double") was surprisingly spacious and nicely decorated, and everything worked well. Breakfast was great and in a very nice location. Staff were friendly and pleasant.
It would be good to have fewer pre-packaged items at breakfast, cereal in little packets and butter/jam prepacks are creating a lot of unnecessary waste. And although the linen is nice, bedding and pillows themselves are quite synthetic and rather sweaty. Because it's near Gatwick, there's a risk that someone will wheel their suitcases past your room at 5.30 am, talking loudly...
