We stayed at The Drummond for four days in the end of October 2025, and had a lovely stay. First we would like to thank Tom and Claire for their heartwarming hospitality and service, we felt like home with the pub being like our living room. The food and drinks were amazing, the room was cozy and the surroundings are beautiful. We can really recommend doing the Tillingbourne At Work Walk, the public footpath trough the horse pastrures, meadows and magical forrest were healing after a few days in London. Overall, we had a really lovely stay and would recommend. Cosy pub section with open fire, good local beers, reasonably priced wine by the glass, above average pub food. Good quality bathroom amenity, big comfy bed and big TV. It was cold during our visit but the garden looked lovely.

There were a few service & food issues. My sponge pudding arrived uncooked and had to be sent back. Complimentary biscuits were forgotten from our room (we saw them on the housekeeping trolley when we checked out), items were missed from our breakfast order and we had to chase twice and got no apology. All easy to put right, and scoring on the basis that they do.

What a lovely place! The pub is just next to the bus stop, so perfect if you visiting Surrey Hills without a car (you can just take a bus from Guildford - 20min or so). The place is astonishing, the classic village kitsch! The back has a garden area where you can have dinner while enjoying the trees, birds & slow stream running pass. The room was really spacious (like twice the size of a regular room). I booked a twin, the beds were the 'old school' small (so really small) but super comfy mattress, pillows & duvet. Immaculate clean (well done housekeeping!). Complimentary toiletries were amazing. Rainfall shower was perfect. I did not have breakfast. I had dinner and it was okay (regular British pub menu). At night it gets so absolutely silent, that I assure you: you will have the best sleep! They were able to keep my bag after checkout so I could enjoy properly my walk. There are lots of different paths you can take from Albury. All of them gorgeous! Staff was really considerate, helpful and smiley. I'll definitely come back. Thank you

There was nothing particularly I've disliked. Maybe some guests, less used to proximity with nature, might not welcome the visit of the bees that were chilling on the window flowers. I've actually enjoyed that!

I booked 3 rooms for a family get together. Great location, good car park, and good value for money. The rooms and ensuites were comfortable and beautifully furnished . The thing that made the 2 days stand out, though, was the staff. They were accommodating with food orders and informative about a change in travel plans re taxi/train times. One of the days, we needed a quiet area for us to talk and go through family memorabilia. The staff were so helpful and attentive, giving us time and space with refreshment always available. The garden area was also lovely to sit in.

The service was amazing - we're travelling with our son, who's severely allergic to some foods and I have never experienced anything near as good as this! Not only did we get to choose from a menu which clearly provides information whether there is a risk of may contains or not, when our food arrived, we were told exactly which steps the kitchen took to minimise the risk of cross contamination to an absolute minimum. I have never felt so at ease when eating out! On top, the pub, the outdoor space and the surroundings are simply beautiful.

Everything was great. The room was big and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Clean and inviting. Very cosy and warm too. Breakfast was very tasty and good quality and the staff were great. Very nice touches were the range of refreshments in the room - tea, coffee, hot chocolate and proper sized mugs. Biscuits too! The decor was lovely. There are usb points in the plug sockets on both sides of the bed. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Added bonus was the bus stop outside the pub where we caught the 32 bus into town for our night out. Cost £3 each and took around 15 minutes.

Staff very accommodating and helpful. Especially Tom and Grant. Rooms were lovely decor and it had welcoming atmosphere and quaint. Bus taking you into Guildford was great and opposite route to gorgeous Shere.

The room we stayed In was right under the hotel laundry room and over the back door which is next to the local shop. The deliveries arrived early and the cage rattled loudly and echoed and this woke me up abruptly. Also difficult to sleep with the washing machine grinding all night. Please shut the door this will be more considerate. Would it possible to let the shop owner ask the deliveries each morning to consider people are trying to lay in just above their heads. Thanks.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very good, as was the bathroom. The breakfast was very good.

The room is on a busy road and the old single glazed windows are not up to the job either of insulation or noise reduction. They should be replaced with wooden sash and case frames and double glazing - an expensive investment but worth it immediately for customers and in the long run for the company - the structure of this lovely old building needs to be properly maintained.

Our room was well appointed with a lovely bathroom. The hotel is a beautiful old building with loads of character, the flowers at the front were breathtaking. The breakfast was fabulous and extremely generous. Parking on site a plus and lovely grounds, including a small stream. Friendly staff, situated in a quaint little part of England, easily accessible by car from Gatwick.

Having to carry cases up the stairs was a small nuisance but to be expected when you book into old pubs, a small price to pay

We had a fantastic time at The Drummond, from the beginning of our arrival the customer service was excellent with all my queries being answered promptly and great suggestions & contacts provided for my needs, unfortunately there were no taxi’s available to take use to The Silent Pool distillery where we had booked a tour , so one of the team took us in her car, thank you so much Flor that was very kind of you, The Drummond is truly one of the best I’ve stayed at, our only wish was that we had stayed longer there, the interior decor extremely tasteful, warm comfortable beds and spotlessly clean, in our large room there was additional luxury of a roll top bath, we dined in the restaurant for lunch and as there was so much choice of deliciousness on the menu we decided to book a table for dinner, I highly recommend you dine there our meals were cooked to perfection and presentation was excellent.
