First its an older hotel, but very close to Gatwick, with a very early flight they start the breakfast at 4AM which was great since I was leaving at 6am. The room was fine, the bathroom modern with a great shower, really all my surprises were on the positive side. I would definitely recommend for a short term stay near Gatwick airport. The breakfast was great.

There was a bit of a problem with the coffee machine, its a modern Italian style unit, but at 5am was tough to get it working.

I was made welcome from the moment I in the hotel, Very clean hotel Excellent friendly staff, Young lad on reception was very good at job , They have a Indian restaurant in the hotel, The food was fabulous, beautiful flavours, and to top it all the young man brought the food plus plate and cutlery to my room , I’d recommend this place , great experience , thank you

There’s nothing bad about this place ,

comfortable bed, hot bath, room was big enough. We enjoyed the restaurant meal. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

no tv as remote was missing (had been previously stolen). Slight musty smell to room. Traffic noise. We enjoyed our evening meal at the restaurant but as we are vegetarian would have appreciated more veg. options ( ie. dahl )

Great location for late arrival from the airport, or early departure.

Nothing to do with any dislike of the hotel, but just beware - I paid £19 for a 5 minute taxi ride from the airport. It was late and I was tired. There is a bus I could have caught direct from the airport for £1, I found out about the next morning.

Rooms were very spacious and clean excellent standard . Location was excellent near airport, shop and bars. Restaurant at hotel was excellent food quality, service they were able to accommodate a vegan diet. Transfer were very reliable always there to accomidate different times, very good price and very reliable. The staff were so friendly, accomidating with anything , there was not nothing they would do to make your stay as welcome as possible. I booked the wrong dates and asked for a lower level floor due to disabilities.They allocated a low level floor and changed the dates for me , exceptional service. I would definitely book this again with hesitation as tgere was nothing I could fault.

Close to airport, very clean, staff fab , if w e had known no lift, would have booked ground floor , staff fab with cases, but friend has difficulty with stairs x

I got collected by the hotels transfer service, £10 which is half the price of an Uber. Called the hotel and the minibus was there to collect me within 10 minutes. I booked a single room, which was small but had everything I needed for a comfortable night stay, and was en suite. WiFi is super fast and free. The food in the restaurant was just amazing, so much so I've booked again for me and my partner when we land in Gatwick on the 24th June, and an overnight stay again. As a frequent traveler for work I now think I've found my go too place when flying from Gatwick. Supurb!!! Nigel

The staff are lovely! It’s a family run business so am glad I gave my custom to them. The room I stayed in was a cute little Harry Potter room in the top of the property. I didn’t have breakfast- just a coffee and an apple, which they provided. My room was basic. But comfortable and clean. The bed linen and towels were clean. There was a fan which was a bonus for me and my menopause. Also, the coffee in the room was fairtrade which I love.

As the room was at the top of the property there wasn’t full headroom throughout so I did bang my head a couple of times.

The helpful and pleasant staff made up for the shortcomings of this hotel. Allowed me to check in early, which was a blessing after a 12 hour flight. Conveniently very near Gatwick Airport served me well for a one night stop over. Breakfast is quite good.

I don't think it can be a 4 star hotel. Some items advertised in the room were missing. Shower is a tiny space...could help to replace the stand up shower unit with a hand held one. But ok for one night.

I have two small children, 7 and 10, and they were thrilled by the way the room was set up. Not a fantastic view but it was nice to have a window. It was their first time in England so everything was worth seeing! The staff was great and my daughter ended up really liking her lamb chops with the seasonings. A bit surprising because she is sometimes picky but they were delicious! My son had chicken nuggets and chips, and he was happy and so was I with my lamb dish. I think it deserves a higher rating than the 7 plus that they had posted. I think some reviewers think they need to reserve higher ratings for five star hotels and such. I would definitely give it a 9 and we often stay in four and five star hotels when we travel here in Vietnam. I would have loved to explore the area but we were only there for an overnight stay to catch a morning flight. The shuttle service was convenient and about 9 pounds cheaper than the taxi we took to the hotel.

For the price it was excellent.
