Everyone was very helpful from the outset, we were going to a wedding and they offered somewhere to get changed if our room was not ready. The room was large with a 4 poster bed and the bathroom was well appointed. Old furniture and a good view fitted well with the house. Breakfast was just what we wanted tea, coffee, toast and fresh pastries but full English or other cooked dishes, a good selection, were on the menu.

It is in need of a bit of TLC in places, stair carpet, a sash was broken on one of our windows, the curtains and blinds are nearing time to change (some mould at the hem and loose threads on the blinds). Some things would be easy to sort out.

The room was fabulous. The hotel, as described, is proud of its Victorian past, and this gives an impression of by-gone decadence. There is a great lounge/bar. The gardens are lovely for a stroll, just a shame we missed the peak of the wonderful wild flower area. The breakfast room is lovely and bright with views of the garden and surrounding farmland.

As a vegetarian leaning towards vegan, would have loved an option of oat milk in my coffee, and there are better vegan sausages available. But this did not detract from a wonderful breakfast.

The room was a good size. And comfortable. They had a very good dog attitude. They allowed well behaved dogs, most places. They had a good sized garden to let the dog stretch her legs. The staff were kind and very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. The house and garden are both well presented with good parking facilities.

The shower was hot if you ran the tap for a while but very low pressure. Took a while to get the shampoo from your hair. They could have a dog bin in the garden as it's hard to dispose of little bags from your dog when you are staying in a dog friendly hotel. Dinner was fine dining and tasted great if you like small portions. You really need to eat the three courses to fill you up, plus a few potatoes for a grown man. But it was well presented.

Wonderful breakfast menu! The staff lets you choose what warm dish you want for breakfast the day after - like full English breakfast, Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine etc. We tried a few of the dishes and all were amazing! There’s also a little cold buffet with toasts, croissants etc.

It was not clear that you needed to check in at 10 pm at latest, it was only after we filled in the pre-check in form that we got informed out it the same day. We were driving from south for a few hours and needed to rearrange and stress so make it in time.

Beautiful building in a lovely location. Our ground floor room in the coach-house annex had French windows that looked out across open fields. Room was clean, tastefully furnished, comfy and well equipped. Very friendly cat :-)

Staff were perfectly civil, but could have been a bit 'warmer'. Service felt a little perfunctory at times. Scrambled egg at breakfast was so salty it was almost inedible.

Nice room in the coach house, very convenient with a dog as access onto grass area from the room. Staff very pleasant and polite. Lovely main building. Comfortable bed and fan available in the room. Breakfast was very nice.

WiFi was not great in the room and as the phone reception was sketchy this concerned me that we could not be contacted in an emergency. Dog friendly yet no facilities to dispose of dog waste. No information in the room at all including emergency advice.

A very lovely location in the county. A character filled very quaint with lovely place that tranquil and peaceful. rooms are quite large and spacious. we alked into town and the local pub was well worth it. great food.

Do not expect to have modern finishes or equipment. The bed is swayed, pillows hard and very old and the installed hairdryer was probably older than me!

The old vicarage is very aesthetically pleasing as you drive up to it. The building is old and has an old smell as you enter but the room was furnished nicely and a really good size. Nice and secluded and quiet at night. Nice room for breakfast.

The hot water was very temperamental and took a long time to come hot both in the sink and shower.

The whole atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and peaceful. The staff were all lovely and helpful and the location was great as we wanted to get to Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. The food was lovely, breakfast was all good quality ingredients and then the evening meal was a real treat.

The only thing that I would say is that the room and bathroom were getting a little dated but that said, everything worked ok and the beds were very comfortable.

Lovely room (Davenport) could do with a catch on the bathroom door, we had both windows open and the door to the bathroom kept opening. Bed comfortable, exceptional breakfast.

Would have like a room with a view out of the back as there were lots of rooms available
