Super welcome from the owner and great kindness extended to us during our stay. Small dog cleaning charge applied that was reasonable. Very welcoming pub with great selection of my fave cider!!! Loved the peace and quiet and ability to come and go without disturbing others. New shower was superb and powerful and hot. TV worked well with plenty of terrestrial channels and I liked the country sound of the local hound pack and tawny owls at night. My dogs were made welcome in the room and the pub.

Bed a little tired in fairness, was a bit sore after. Quite a few large spiders in room- it is an old inn so to be expected! I am not a veggie but would like more veg with evening meal

We were given an exceptionally warm welcome and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar. There is a good wine offering and a food menu (seriously generous portions!) to suit all. Peter’s legendary steak pie and the curry are recommended. Matt is an excellent host, following conversation he recommended a local museum open day, offered wine suggestions to suit our tastes and an alternative dinner dish for the following evening.

BOOKING .COM, BOOKED US IN FOR TUESDAY, & have been told there are closed, but owner came out to book us in, but no food till next day, booking.com have been told about this, but still do it, if it had not been for owner we would have been in trouble, great pearson, staff, & food, & for what we was there for we would have missed it, cannot thank him enough will go back, but not with booking.com

Fantastic service - proprietor Peter very helpful and made sure everything was to our liking plus cooking superb breakfast and dinner. Charming Inn with lots of history and beautiful surroundings.

Unfortunately we didnt stay the night as our eldeerly dog wasnt to good but the room was lovely the hosts very friendly and we had a meal before we left and my partner said it was the best steak he had ever tried the dog enjoyed hers too

Superb breakfast cooked to order by Peter. Location one mile from Bridgnorth Centre very quiet in attractive countryside. Personal service throughout. Hope to return again.

Good old fashioned country pub and accommodation. Quirky in an OK way. Wonderful hosts. Nice garden bar at rear.

Peter was a brilliant host and could not do enough for us. The food was excellent. The countryside location just outside Bridgenorth was picturesque.
