Stayed for a wedding at mill barns. Venue is only a 10-15min drive making it a perfect local stay. Room was perfect for what we needed, good lighting and mirrors to help us get ready for the wedding. We stayed in the old bury suite which benefited from a mini sitting room away from the bedroom giving us that extra space Staff were so welcoming and even greeted by name. We had pre rang to ask if we could check in early due to wedding starting at 1- they accommodated this with no questions asked and we are so grateful. Breakfast was amazing, made to order, big portion, good quality food and nice and hot. Amazing selection of cereal and toast to start.

We aren’t phased by the road noise but if you were going to complain about something like this, then don’t stay here. It is unfair to give a negative review for something that is clearly stated on their booking info. Property is just off a main road, we stayed after a wedding and slept perfectly.

The location was ideal for our need to visit different parts of Shropshire. It had wonderful views of the surrounding hills. There was plenty of on-site parking The staff were all very friendly, courteous and dealt with all our needs. Our room was cosy, and there was a good provision of facilities within it The breakfast was pre-order, but you could have anything you wanted (within reason) and the table setting met all my requirements when I sit at the table. The on-site Carvery had a wide selection and was very filling. Both my meals were plentiful and tasty.

There were some very minor maintenance issues which didn't impinge our experience. The road traffic noise in the morning was noticeable, but there is nothing that the Punchbowl can do about that. (After the rush-hour there was little traffic)

the staff were polite and very helpful.i have limited mobility and found it mobility friendly only to go up 3 steps .our accommodation was very comfortable and everything we needed for our stay.we had a gorgeous meal at there restaurant ( which had been pre booked for us but please ask if yours have been as booking a table is a must )we opted for a two course carvery meal,the meat just melted in your mouth...after a comfortable night's sleep we had a hearty breakfast. my partner has already booked to stay there in November for us both...

the only thing I would say that would be looking into is lighting to be extended to the end of the side wall ( were rooms are ) as now the nights are drawing in I found it hard to see were I was going when going back to our room...

The setting was picturesque and peaceful. Our accommodation was situated at the front of the property, near the road, but the road noise didn't bother us. Our facilities were spacious with a handy seating area, as you entered, perfect for taking your shoes on & off . The bed was really comfortable ( slept like a log !) The restaurant and bar area is tastfully decorated and quirky due it's historic importance. The AGA carvery lived up to our expectations. Absolutely fantastic, although they have a main menu you can also order from. I ordered the vegetarian nut loaf, with all the carvery vegetables etc trimmings and it was the best I've ever tasted! There was a supplement of £3.95, for main meal choices, added to the 2 courses price of £12.95 but still exceptional value for high quality fresh food. My husband & I had the homemade white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake. There's a vibrant, yet relaxing atmosphere, to the place. The staff were friendly & efficient. Breakfast was cooked to order and you could choose what you wanted. Cooked to perfection. All in all, we would highly recommend & wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Stayed in a really plush split level suite which was offered at a fantastic price by booking.com. I had the carvery option for my evening meal, full of various delicious vegetable options. As a vegetarian the chef made me a special dish for breakfast including sauteed potatoes, which was most welcome. Really friendly waiting staff. All in all a really enjoyable experience.

The only draw back for the rooms are that they are next to the road and even though it's a country road it still gets quite noisy first thing in the morning.

For the price paid (thank you booking.com Genius pricing), this place was faultless - offering exceptional quality and value. Its a 15th century coaching house, with first class accommodation in the converted stables. Everything was just so - with oak beams, large bathroom and monogrammed towels! The accommodation even had its own small lounge. Absolutely nothing to fault. The gaff is a restaurant- not a pub - but the bar area, and restaurant itself, was very olde world, but without ever being twee. The staff were decent coves too. It's actually an Aga based carvery, and the pricing was stunning - we got a three course meal for fifteen quid! Fear not veggies - there are ample veggie options, and there is a full non-carvery menu too. The food and drink is remarkably good for the pricing. As I said up top - we couldn't fault it.

Very nice room, separate sitting area. Ground floor access adjacent the pub, So very quite. Breakfast was exceptional, best full english I have ever had, very fresh and tasty.

Being next to a main road made it was very noisy at times due to the speed the vehicles where travelling. Certainly needs traffic calming at this location especially as car park entrances/exits are unlit. Some extra lighting would be of benefit near the steps as these are a hazard at night when going to and from the property to the pub.

The staff were great and helpful. Evening meals were excellent. We probably ate too much because it was so nice to eat. The room was very comfortable - in fact it was a suite of three rooms. A bedroom, a sitting room and a bathroom.

Did not enjoy my cooked breakfast on the second day. Mushroom was tough, bacon was hard to eat. The meal was hard to eat so I gave up. Cooked breakfast wasn't up to the same standard as the evening meal. The rest of the breakfast was good. I could have done with a chair for the table/desk to support my back.

The breakfast was excellent, large servings and they were able to meet expectations for some items not on their menu. The evening meals were also excellent and during our stay they had a special offer on which made them even more value for money. Both rooms had tea & coffee making facilities, with biscuits and bottles of water. Lovely fluffy towels and complimentary shower and shampoo. All the staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.

The 2 rooms we on the ground floor, both cost the same amount however they were very different, 1 the Cromwell had the main room with a bed and TV, 3 steps down to the en-suite. It wasn't large but fit for purpose, however the 2nd room for the same cost was a suite with a larger bedroom, a separate living room with sofa and fridge, and with a bathroom off from there (with bath & shower).

The breakfast and evening meals were of great quality and very well cooked and presented. The room was spacious tidy and well presented perfect place to stop and tour the area and enjoy a good meal when you get back

The bathroom door wouldn't latch shut and will swing open but other than that no problems at all. Yes you get some traffic noise and a cockeral crowing early in the morning but not a problem, it is on a roadside near farms.
