I stayed in this accommodation 6 years ago and the standards are just as good now. Little Stretton is a perfect base for the Shropshire Hills, with great places to eat within walking distance. Booking a local pub for food is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. The room was clean, comfortable and really spacious. There were plenty of added comforts, including towels, toiletries and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The added touch of a mini-fridge with fresh milk was a great bonus. There is also a communal area with an honesty bar, where you can help yourself to a selection of chilled beers, cider and gin. Another nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of cold and healthy options, as well as the option of a freshly cooked English breakfast. The waiting staff are also unfailingly polite and attentive. Liz was a great hostess. Very friendly, welcoming, helpful and really easy to talk to. Hospitality is not a vocation for most, so it's refreshing when you are welcomed by genuinely nice people. I can't recommend Mynd House enough. A lot of hard work and pride are put into this place and it shows. I will definitely stay here again.

We loved this very comfortable guest house - it's almost like a hotel, except that they don't serve evening meals. But who needs that when there are two excellent pubs within very short walking distance - one 2 -3 minutes away, the other only 5 minutes! Liz and her staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was great - more like a small suite in our case! - and it was nice to have the two lounges and the bar area if one needed them. The breakfast was really delicious, well cooked and served, and using entirely locally sourced food. We didn't do any really serious walking, but enjoyed touring the area by car. I had forgotten quite how spectacular the Long Mynd is - it was over 40 years since my previous visit....

Lovely building, easy to find, decent parking, pleasant host. The focus on energy saving and minimal waste was appreciated. The room was spacious and pleasantly cool in the hot weather. Breakfast was good, with cooked portions sized to avoid waste but be sustaining. A good location for exploring the local hills.

The shower was a bit awkward to use because of its location opposite the taps and thus over the sloping part of the bath but a non-slip mat was provided.

Staying in the village of Little Stretton was the quintessential British country experience for us. Liz & Jeff are premier hosts and they take great care to make their charming property inviting, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is cooked to order with great locally sourced choices and they were able to offer gluten free options. We enjoyed eating in both pubs and mixing with the locals. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We would love to return to explore more.

I booked this B&B as a base for hiking in the surrounding hills. The hosts have nicely refurbished the building with a lot of attention to detail. The room had a small fridge with fresh milk for the tea. The breakfast was above standard, with emphasis on homemade and local products. The best feature, however, is the saloon with fireplace, bar and comfy furniture for warming up and chilling out. A bus stop and two pubs are just a few minutes walk away.

Not much to say here as I really enjoyed my stay. I liked the host's focus on sustainability, the shower was a bit too much throttled to a drizzle for my taste, though.

We stayed at Mynd House for a wedding in the area and had a lovely time! When we arrived Liz was very friendly and recommended a few really lovely pubs down the road for dinner. She also helped us with some local taxi numbers for transport to the venue. The room was spacious and completely spotless, we particularly appreciated the bath and I loved the dressing table for getting ready. Everything we could possibly need was provided, including dressing gowns which was a nice touch. It was also very calm and peaceful. The highlight for us was definitely breakfast! Plenty of veggie options, portions were generous and everything was super delicious, you can tell they've really gone to the effort of sourcing local, high quality ingredients. I wish I'd remembered to buy some of their homemade jam before we left! Overall we had a perfect stay and we're already hoping for a reason to come back to the area :)

Nothing, it was great!

Lovely place, really pleasing on the eye and comfortable, too. You'll want for nothing, as a guest - but there's no over-fussing either. The breakfast menu has a great selection - and there's yoghurt, cereals and fruit as standard, and really good coffee! Everything has been thought about - and then supplied to customers.

The host was very nice and welcoming, the place is spotless clean, all facilities are new and in great condition, room and bathroom are very big and the bed is comfy. Breakfast had a lot of options (we took the eggs Benedict and the full - both was very tasty)

Can't think of anything that I didn't liked about this place!

Our hosts Liz and Jeff were very helpful and tried where possible to accommodate our requests. Breakfast was very tasty and well cooked and plenty of choice. Liz told me about a lovely walk nearby and even drew me a map which was very helpful as I was on my own for the day.

There was'nt anything we did'nt like.

This was our first visit to Shropshire and my husband and I liked the reviews given about this property. When we arrived (despite being late) out host greeted us and gave us information about our room and ensured that our check-in was smooth and even advised us of where we could go to get our evening meal. The room where we stayed was fantastic. The bathroom was spotless no sign of mould (as we have experienced with other places), the towels and bathrobes were lovely and soft and our bed was super comfortable. We had a lovely views of the famous hills and the location is so quiet and peaceful. The photos just doesn't do it justice. The Breakfast are simply divine with all the food being locally sourced you could taste the quality. All jams and preserves are also home made. There simply aren't enough superlatives to describe our experience. Suffice to say we cannot wait to go back. Liz and Jeff are terrific hosts.

There are no negatives. The location has endless opportunities to visit the village, pubs go for walks. If there is a downside it's that more time is needed to see everything.
