The location was perfect for walking out to the Shropshire Hills and for driving to the Park and Ride into Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury has lots to see and do. Our hosts were brilliant! Very welcoming and sociable and very knowledgeable of the area, which helped us decide where to go for our 5 night stay. The breakfast was varied, a mixture of cooked with cereals, yoghurt, and fruit. Church Stretton has quite a few shops to explore. We ate in a local Thai one evening, which was delicious.

I liked everything! The only thing I missed was sitting outside in the evening, but this won't stop me from returning in the future.

Well maintained and decorated property. Comfortable beds and lovely breakfast. There was a large comfortable lounge and also a small kitchen where we could keep food for our packed lunches plus fresh milk provided for tea and coffee. Hiking routes straight from the door, good recommendations for local food too.

Some road noise mainly because we had the window open during warm weather.

Wonderful guesthouse. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Facilities were great with excellent attention to detail. The breakfast was lovely. We particularly liked the fact that there was a small kitchen for guests to use, with a fridge to store food and drinks. There is also a lovely lounge to relax in which would be particularly useful if a group of friends stay at the guesthouse.

Gary and Claire were so helpful and friendly even before arriving, arranging an early check-in and recommending great places to eat locally. The log burner was going when we got there which was lovely. Wifi very good - I was able to have 2 hour video call for work with no issues. Breakfast was exceptional and really set us up for a long day walking. Lots of special touches including home made shortbread and sweets, tea facilities in the room, maps available etc.

Breakfast was tasty and my gluten free requests were met. Claire and Gary were attentive and helpful. It was nice to have the use of a communal lounge and meet other guests. The garden was spacious and as it was so hot we made use of the shady trees.

Clare & Gary were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. There was every facility needed with a large lounge/dining room, kitchenette and downstairs toilet for guests. Dogs are welcomed and accommodated with towels for drying off wet 4-legged friends after walks in the entrance lobby. Clare & Gary cooked us a lovely meal on our arrival. Our ensuite room was very comfortable again every need catered for.

Breakfast was very good, rooms were very comfortable. Along with your designated en-suite bedroom upstairs, there is a large lounge and small kitchen, downstairs, dedicated to the paying guests which is a significant asset.

Unless we missed a gate or signage we exited the property over a cattle grid onto the road.

Great location, ample private parking on the doorstep. Well kept property and grounds that the owner clearly takes pride in keeping to a high standard. Greeted on arrival and there was a roaring fire in the log burner of the cosy sitting/dining room. Really comfortable bed and a good sized shower in the en-suite. After arriving in the dark we woke up to find the house was surrounded by beautiful, tranquil countryside and set in a well maintained garden with pond and summerhouse. Breakfast was cooked to perfection and made from quality ingredients. The Owners are perfect hosts and knowledgeable about the area (thank you for your suggestion of which place to eat at in Shrewsbury). If I need to stay in the area in the future I will return here without hesitation.

Friendly, welcoming. All comforts considered and offered. Breakfast excellent, attention to detail second to none.

Could do with more outside lighting in car park area near front door. Parking space a bit limited, but it works OK.

The property was very clean bright and well presented. All facilities were accessible and available. The owners were very welcoming and made you feel at ease and at home, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were excellent.
