Perfect location on the sea front. Restaurant excellent.

Parking was a bit difficult when we arrived, thanks to the popularity of the restaurant, which is open to the public. The room balcony was somewhat random, being more or less just a fenced off area of a roof over the restaurant area below. Heating in the room was not easy to control, no instructions and at times quite cold with draughts from the sea facing windows. For the price I was expecting a room on a higher floor and more focus on guest comfort. Having said all this, I would go back!

Very bright comfortable and relaxing decoration. The spacious, bright and well designed open plan living/ dining and kitchen space was located at the first floor level which ensured privacy and views over the bay. The extra touches included some basic condiments and washing products etc. The reception was really helpful and able to give us additional towels, coffee capsules etc.

Two of the ground floor bedrooms were compact in size and would have benefited from being a little larger. A large bowl in the kitchen would have been useful.

Perfect location. Staff at reception were lovely and very helpful. They managed to change my dinner reservation, which I'd booked online, to a more suitable time. Breakfast choice was wonderful as were the serving staff.

We had dinner in the restaurant, which was pleasant. However they offer a two or three course meal for a very reasonable price, but then half the meals on the menu have a supplement. I would suggest they increase the set price and only have a supplement on say steak.

The location is stunning -- right on a little bay with gorgeous views of the coast. Our room was spectacular, with wide bay windows overlooking the water. Very comfortable large bed. Nicely appointed, with a large bathroom. Very good breakfast, and extremely good service from everyone we interacted with. Wish we could have stayed another night!

Almost nothing. Dinner at the restaurant could have been a bit better. TV could be a bit bigger, but, given how gorgeous the views are, it would have been hard to focus on the TV anyway

We had the continental breakfast - it was very generous and filling. The location was outstanding - so close after a long day of driving from Dublin and enjoy the Giant’s Causeway. Enjoyed a gorgeous sunset after dinner walking through the town.

Parking was a challenge with a 9-person van, but they were able to put us in their overflow lot just across the street. The room was a bit warm at check-in, and it took awhile to cool down (system wide issue we were told).

This hotel is rated as a 4* hotel, but is defiantly a 5* hotel. from the day we arrived the standard of service, accommodation and food was at the highest quality. The hotel is also central to all site visits around the coastal area, plus it has its own unique view over looking the harbour. A 5* experience and will be back very soon.

The hotel has a fabulous location overlooking the harbour and bay in Portballintrae. The dining room is beautifully appointed and the view is lovely. We had evening meal here which was filling and tasty, though it was focused on meat and potatoes with virtually no vegetables. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.

The price of bed and breakfast in a back facing room was very expensive. The room was very average and generic in style.

The hotel was very clean ,excellent staff throughout our stay . Breakfast was very tasty as was the evening menu .

The only part that we didn’t like was the room doors being very noisy when they were being closed .This could be prevented with some cu shooting around the door frames .

Everything about this hotel exudes quality. The staff are welcoming on arrival, service in the restaurant is very good. The room 302 (described as the best in the hotel) was breathtakingly beautiful. It was serenely quiet, watching kids jump from the tiny jetty into a sheltered mini harbour. No yachts here, just a handful of fishing boats. Every would be hotelier should come here to see how it should be done! This is an exemplar of a hotel, a hidden gem, which we wouldn’t have found but for Booking.com. Wonderful!

Breakfast - lovely

Room (106) was rather hot without opening the window, but when it was open there was a lot of noise from a boiler(?) or extractor fan, plus moving of kegs and noisy trolleys. There was also a strange rhythmic 'drumming' noise on Friday am from 7:00 for about 15mins. After heavy rain there was a lot of loud and constant dripping from gutters.
