Surprisingly good looking lobby and room! Very kind staff and good coffeebar; possiblity to take food/drink to the room. The hotel room is very spacious, surprisingly so. Beds are very comfortable and nicely sized. Two lounge chairs as well, which didn't even make the space feel crowded, 'cause the room is so large. When we arrived the room was rather warm and stuffy, but when I called their reception did a reset to our air conditioning and after that it all worked fine and the air was nice and cool. Bathroom is clean and spacious and nice to look at. Spacious shower. Breakfast to go was possible, which was good because we had to leave before 6:30. This breakfast could use an upgrade, but I was just happy to be able to get a breakfast bag to go! Starbucks coffee included.

The lift, hallways and especially the staircase are were stuffy and warm. This needs some airconditioning or ventilation.

Room was very clean and tidy. Staff were very keen and eager to help, from booking in at reception, to checking out the next day. To me it makes a place really pleasurable to stay when the staff of the Hotel look happy at where they work, and take the time to communicate with the guests. Breakfast has a selection to cover even the most finicky of eaters, ample to choose from, and the cooked breakfast was perfect. The whole place was very clean and tidy.

Lighting in my room was possibly the only thing, a little dark. lots of little side lamps to illuminate the room but I'd rather have one main light and bed side lamps, but that my personal choice. This is being a little picky, and didn't mar my stay.

The holiday inn was very nice and the staff were very friendly nothing a problem

Only a little thing but one that should of been addressed before letting the room as the plug in the bathtub had been pushed in to far and looked like it’s rusted in place as the water not get out and you guessed it the tap leaking leaking and the water In time will overflow if left to long. On a different note the other little bug bear was they had two coaches turn up out of the blue so the we was asked to eat out in the foyer with costumes walking around with the cases did annoyed us somewhat

As a family travelling, the room had the right size for us. The personel was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant and the food met our needs both for dinner and breakfast.

Sadly, the bathroom sink had a mechanical fault. Water would not drain. After a few visits from staff we resolved to remove the plug mechanism altogether to fix the problem. After our departure the hotel will have to implement a structural fix. Other than cosmetics, the sink functioned as needed during our stay.

A truly excellent stay, clean, friendly and pleasant environment, attentive staff who were genuine and focused on the guest experience. Food was great throughout, both meals and breakfast were fresh and tasty, Couldn't fault this hotel in any way. The whole staff were a credit to the business and the stay was outstanding value too.

Slight traffic noise from the nearby Motorway when the window was open, but AC in the room needn't mean it's an issue for most.

Comfortable room with two single beds. Quite an enjoyable and good value evening meal which was unexpected. Continental breakfast was good. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful which is often not the normal experience in this country lately.

The room doors are heavy and on a strong return spring which causes the doors to bang. Unfortunately this means banging doors throughout the building in the evenings and early morning so if you're a light sleeper this could be an issue.

Great as a stopover over from the tunnel or ferry. Rooms were clean and comfortable, lovely pillows! Tea and coffee facilities in the room are good. The air conditioning works well in the room. Bathroom adequate, but shower is over the bath so be aware if mobility is an issue. Staff were lovely and greeted us warmly. An added bonus is the bar and restaurant on site - lovely meals at reasonable prices. Breakfast was lovely. We will use again!

There was a large coach party staying when we were there, so it was impossible to get in the restaurant for breakfast - we went back to our room for an hour to wait!

From the time we arrived and to the time we left, nothing was too much trouble. The staff at the hotel were absolutely wonderful. So helpful, friendly and very, very kind. Our breakfasts and evening meals were absolutely delicious. The messages on the tray were a lovely personal touch and everything is done with a smile. Other hotels are left in the shade in comparison and could learn a lot from the staff at this hotel. Thank you so much and we will definitely only stay at the Holiday Inn Ashford North in future. We wish all the staff a wonderful Christmas.

The room was large and the bathroom was very clean. the room had a double bed which was comfortable, a desk and chair and a sofa. The basic open wardrobe had 5 wooden hangers, iron and ironing board.

The hotel was very full and so check-in service was a bit slow. Bar meal choice was limited. The WiFi was open (not normally a problem) but my email and other websites gave a security warning and so I couldn't use email. This may just be a problem with the certificate for the router. Breakfast was only average and below my expectation. Hot food on hotplates is not ideal and choice or cereals could have a greater variety.

The room was so much bigger and more comfortable than we expected! It was absolutely perfect. Lovely shower, great facilities, very comfortable bed! Great value for money!! David greeted us and what a great chat and laugh we had together, he was so kind and signed me up to the rewards program fast and made sure we were all ok he was great!!

Wish we'd had a little longer! We arrived late at night - I wish we could have had a longer stay it was lovely!!!
