The host was very responsive and was present at the property to show us around and hand over the keys. The house is very comfortable with a comfortable lounge area, well stocked common kitchen and a spacious bedroom. We had booked the Double bedroom which has an en-suite bathroom. The amenities in the house were very good. The house is a comfortable 10 minutes walk to the bus station and 12-15 minutes walk to the Canterbury Cathedral and all the main attractions in the old part of town. There are other rooms in the house given out to other guests but they are totally detached and hence we got complete privacy. The stay was overall enjoyable and comfortable.
Only issue that we faced was that the bed was a bit too soft and springy for us. We are used to harder mattress tops due to our back issues.

Super comfy bed Host easily contactable by live call Loved the bath - plenty of hot water Communal kitchen with fresh coffee and herbal tea, and cooking facilities Large room (No 1) Very quiet during the night Wardrobe with hangers (rare these days!) Very close to the centre to Canterbury- 5 minute walk to Waitrose 2 bedside lamps Plenty of plug sockets Great wifi Parking available Centraly heated
The bath needed a better clean The room could have done with a more thorough clean and hoover (I found a Pringle tub and a sock in the room!) The main light was very bright blue so I stuck with the warmer bedside lamps Another radiator in the room would be good since the room is very large

This was our second stay here. it's great value for money in a good location 5 minutes from the city centre with private secure parking. The room was large, comfortable, with a huge shower room. There's a bonus fully equipped communal kitchen with dishwasher, coffee pod machine, full-size fridge freezer, gas hobs, loads of crockery and glasses etc. The owner is lovely and met us at a time of our choice to let us in.
A very minor detail is that furniture is a bit random and would look better if more minimal without mats, cloths and ornaments. A lovely long mirror would look better if fixed to the wall rather than leaning against it.

The place was clean and very spacious, which made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. It had everything we needed and felt well-maintained throughout. A great option if you’re looking for a tidy and roomy place to stay.
What I didn’t like was that this is actually a shared property — something that wasn’t clearly communicated. Don’t be fooled, as I would never have booked it had I known. It felt very uncomfortable sharing the space with strangers, and it really affected the overall experience.

This was ideal for a 2 night stay where we needed a central location with parking. Clean, airy, very comfortable bed, fridge in the room with ice box, good shower and bath. The biggest bonus was shared use of a full kitchen with gas hob, cooker, microwave, Toaster, coffee machine, large fridge, well stocked with crockery , glasses, cutlery, etc. Secure parking space behind the hotel with use of remote control gate.
The furniture was somewhat random but this didn't really matter. Low sloping ceiling bathroom could be awkward for a tall guest but fine for us.

Room was comfortable and large. There was a living room & kitchen available but we didn't use them. Location was walkable to cathedral area but had to cross multiple busy streets to get there.
Wash cycle worked on washer/dryer but dry cycle had no heat. Although owner tried to help with washer, he didn't respond to additional questions. Shower in tub unit was poorly designed - shower curtain hung into bottom of tub and water from shower sprayed all over floor.

Location was very good, close to the city centre and all the attractions. Parking on premises was available with a reasonable 8-pound fee. The room was spacious and clean. Large shared lounge, dining space and kitchen with coffee machine was very useful.
Could be better to get directions to the car park in advance, which is behind the building and hard to find. I could hear some noise/voice from other room or neighbour when we stayed.

The location is excellent! Waitrose and Tesco express are just 3 mins away. There's also parking @£8 per day. We can walk to the Town Centre within 10 mins. The house is well equipped. The host is very pleasant and accommodating. On the day we checked put, we left our car in the designated carpark until 1pm , allowing us to do more sightseeing, shopping and lunch.
The house is off a busy main road, it wasn't easy to locate and we drove pass it twice! Perhaps need to leave instructions how to get to the place, especially those who are driving. You can actually safely drive to the back where the designated car park is located.

I often stay in this property when I need to come to Canterbury. Great location. Walking distance from all main sights. Room very big with en-suite. Room was a bit cold this time but there was an extra electric heater which worked perfectly. House very quiet and clean. I’ll definitely be coming again. Also it had parking, upon request, for my car at a cheap extra charge.
All was good.

Far was amazing to deal with, very friendly and welcoming. There was anything you could possibly need, chargers, hair-dryer and basic cooking supplies in the kitchen which often get missed like baking paper for the oven and salt, pepper & oil. Room was spacious and the bathroom spotless which is more that what I can say for many a place I've stayed in!
The decor was a little dated, and there were a couple of small stains on the carpet in the room, but certainly not a big deal and attributable to normal wear and tear. There was a new carpet square around the bed as a mat which was newer and unstained so clearly there has been effort made to make up for it. Overall, the cleanliness was great!!
