Location , dog friendly and reasonable price. Staff friendly and efficient. Lawrence in particular made us and Penny our elderly dog feel very welcome.

Breakfast was ok but a bit disappointing. The room was stuffy and food was not hot enough.

The staff were amazing as always. If we needed something there was no problem in asking, they were always happy to help. The room was very clean and the speakers in the bathroom are always good to have. The bar is finished being renovated and looks amazing. We tried their burgers and they were really good. I could have had one every day if it wasn’t so pricey. It’s very close to local shops and the main shopping high street is only a 10-15 minute walk up the road.

The view we’ve had for both times we’ve visited has been scaffolding, but they are renovating. The food was a bit too expensive. The coffee and teas in the room weren’t very nice. I couldn’t take more than a couple sips of the coffee before throwing it away. The TV seems a bit outdated. You can either watch channels or YouTube. No Netflix, Disney+, etc to sign into.

All Staff were very friendly, helpful and professional and quick to support. They couldn't do enough to assist. We had a faulty window latch in our room which they fixed there and then , our air con also developed a error but again as soon as the issue was raised they sent someone to our room immediately with a fan to compensate. Additionally the décor in the hotel bar area was very modern and the food was delicious. There was also a surprise offer for pets during our stay which was wonderful, I loved that cats were welcome at breakfast at the hotel for a change, a very welcome rarity. Thank you for making us feel welcomed.

The room size was a little small but it was enough for 2 people and our small cat.

Towels and bedding spotlesly clean and comfortable. No problems parking, close to canterbury centre, 24 hour reception. The room was spacious very little noise from other rooms. There were lots of leaflets advising the visitor what to do in the area.

Buffet breakfast eggs, buffet breakfast running out of cooked items and brown sauce pots when busy. Could cook eggs individually even if a buffet breakfast for the other items; if no daily room service needed, there could have been a reduction in price or free drink at the bar offered? The bath in my room needed non slip mat or dots on the bottom to make it safer.

Location is perfect for a visit to Canterbury. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Free parking available on hotelsite and 10 min. walk to citycentre. Beds were good and bathroom fully renewed and clean. Although the restaurant was closed due to refurbishment, they still serve dinner in the bar area. Food was very tastefull. Communication upfront arrival was good and they mention the refurbishment works going on. But as a guest we didn't hear anything (summerholliday)

Airco wasn't working. Rooms were a bit too warm. It was only for one night. so we didnt bother to mention it to tehe staff. Breakfast options (mainly full English breakfast). were limited in a sober area. The soberness doesn't reflect the rest of the hotelvibe.

The deluxe suite was lovely! The decor, space & lovely bath tub big enough for both of us! Staff were very friendly and greeted us each time we passed the reception. My only negative would be the price didn’t include breakfast. I also wouldn’t recommend paying the extra £25 for a banners, birthday cake/balloon. The hotel provide standard balloons but for £25 you got additional. This consisted of 1 helium, a small shop brought cake and 3 banners. I felt £25 was a bit steep. Location was 10minute walk into Canterbury which was great as we could leave the car parked (free of charge) and head for our day out.

Everything! It was quiet and comfortable. We had a beautifully refurbished room - perfectly presented (thanks Gosia!). The heating system was easy to use, efficient and completely silent - not something we have found elsewhere. We were staying for 4 days and one morning she came to clean the windows! The bathroom was warm, thanks to a very efficient towel rail - cosy towels for every shower! The shower controls were simple push buttons - easy. The were wide breakfast choices but we didn’t try the cooked dishes so we can’t comment.

The facilities in room were very good, WiFi and TV were appreciated. Heating in room was very good and could be adjusted without any problems. Nice sized rooms, coffee and tea provided. Clean towels and bedding. Staff were pleasant, helpful especially nice greeting on our arrival by female staff member, (sorry can't remember her name). Parking at hotel good and bus stops nearby for getting into the city centre.

Bar area too dark, would have been nice to have a lighter section available, even some floor lamps for personal adjustment would have been appreciated, especially as there was 2. large bar /food sections. Food - Pizza's lovely, fresh, tasty, enough for 2 people to share. - Sandwiches- Very disappointed, price very high, not quality expected for price, fillings sparce, but hotel apologised and adjusted bill. (rather have had quality sandwich though! Garnish on the sandwich plate was good. So we didn't go hungry.

Beautiful hotel, and despite undergoing refurbishments in some areas of the hotel our experience was really lovely and peaceful. The staff at the front desk were all so friendly and helpful, even stopping to provide us with some location information and recommendations as we had never visited Canterbury before. The room had been recently refurbished to a high standard and the location was just a short walk into the town centre. The toiletries in the bathroom were also lovely. The room had more features than expected - we loved the speakers in the bathroom!

The breakfast was a little disorganised at times, but I appreciate that this might have been impacted by the recent/current refurbishment works. For example, there were times where there were no mugs, spoons, and coffee/juice and it was difficult to find a staff member to help as they were in the other room. However, when asked the staff were all happy to help and friendly in doing so. Despite this the food was really tasty and good value and it wouldn’t stop me visiting in the future.
