Breakfast wasn't available but we'd been forewarned that there was a cafe nearby. The rooms were very clean and when we went into the pub section that evening to eat, the meals were beautifully prepared, albeit limited to Mexican food and not a lot of choice there. The staff were friendly and helpful. The situation was just outside the city walls on the edge of an industrial park but a short walk into town and the pub itself had hanging baskets and is very attractive. A great choice!

In our room at the top of the building, we noticed a raised section but I still managed to trip over it. As the building is nearly 800 years old, certain things cannot be altered, but we put one of our cases on it so I didn't forget and trip again.

Easy to find. Easy check in and shown to our room/shown all room facilities. Pub carpark available for stay which was large, easy to get in and out of and safe. Given Family room (x1 double plus x3 single beds plus cot)despite only 2 of us staying. Large room with basic but clean facilities. Large bathroom with good sized powerful shower. Only about 10mins walk along well lit main road from Town centre. Pub underneath/near by but still quiet stay.. there were disposable ear plugs in room to use if had been noisy!! Could have used Pub facilities if needed food/drink

Needed push very hard flush toilet(but not really a dislike) Nothing really to dislike!!

Very pleasently surprised, the accommodation was really done well and seemingly quite recently. while we were a little conceened walking up as it looked like a veyr average area and pub, it was very confortable and quiet. You need to go up quite a few stairs depending what level you are on, but for us that was not an issue (just to let anyone know that is not as mobile). We had a room that was in the roof line and amazing with the original oak beams. The pub was not at all reowdy even though it was a Saturday night and we had a lovely bedtime drink before retiring,

We loved everything, our only comment woud be an extra mirrior outside the bathroom would be helpful. While the advertising says close to station, that means Canterbury East, if you are coming into Canterbury West from the international and fast lines it is a bit of a walk.

The location was good as it's just a short walk into the medieval centre of Canterbury. Not very salubrious but safe and accessible. The beds were comfortable and even though our room was directly above the pub, noise wasn't an issue. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub itself is fairly traditional, relaxed and family friendly. My sister and I were very satisfied with our stay.

I think the cleanliness in the bathroom was fine, apart from the top of the radiator and down the side of the basin which had clearly been overlooked. I'm not hugely fussy about that sort of thing so not a problem.

This is the 3rd time that I have stayed at The Maidens Chambers and on each occasion, the welcome has been warm, the rooms comfortable and spotless and the facilities are all that you need for an overnight stay. The hotel is located on the edge of the city centre, but that brings with it the benefits of free parking on site and all that Canterbury offers is within a very short walk.

The road can be noisy during rush hour, but each room that I have used has had double glazing and that was sufficient to reduce the noise. An indoor seated breakfast area would be an advantage, but there are plenty of options nearby.

Dating from 1446, but thankfully updated since then, this is a cosy establishment which, despite the rooms being being above the pub, is not noisy at night. Several of the rooms have wooden beams which add character. The host and his staff were jovial and helpful, and the evening meals, whilst mainly burger-focussed, were good. Located a couple of minutes walk from Canterbury East station, and 5-10 minutes walk into the old city centre, including the Cathedral. This was the second time I'd stayed there, because I'd enjoyed the first time.

There is no breakfast option, but that's well advertised, and we knew that. A shame, because it would have been nice to have eaten downstairs in the olde worlde bar.

Good value for money. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Free parking was available. Plenty of hot water, tea and coffee in the room and an air conditioner. The staff were brilliant. The pub was cute and welcoming. It’s a short walk into Canterbury old town so very convenient for tourists. We would stay again if ever back in Canterbury.

Entry to the rooms is via an external staircase. It was okay for us but would be annoying in inclement weather. The food available at the pub was a let down. £14.95 for chicken gyros with loads of chips and salad. Good flavours but chicken was stone cold. I mentioned it to the waitress but got no response. To be fair, the cook was smashed with orders from the pub and take away. The smash beef burgers were doubles - so great for meat lovers. At £14.95 with chips it was decent value and my husband enjoyed it.

Fabulouse location! An easy walk into the main tourist sites. There's an Aldi supermarket and Chicken shop very close by. Otherwise it was very, comfortable, with clean linen, and nice beds which gave a great sleep. the shower is great, and heating works really well. It's an attic room, and it rained during my stay so it was so cosy, in bed watchingg a movie while it rained.

The room needs a carpet shampoo, and the thick cobwebs need cleaning in the bathroom. The blind was broken on the window.

The accommodation is located behind a pub, the Maiden's Head, with plenty of free parking and just a few minutes walk from the train and bus stations. it was pretty basic but clean and comfortable, and good value for money. I tried the Greek food at the pub a couple of times and it was really good. I also enjoyed the regular Thursday night open mic night - something for everyone!

There was a bath-tub in a shared bathroom and I was looking forward to a good soak, but unfortunately there was hardly any water coming out of the hot tap so I gave up. There was a tiny portable fridge in the room but it made such a noise I didn't use it.

Easy check-in and out. Jamie was very friendly when we arrived and showed us to our room. Well maintained, clean, and contemporary decor. Exposed beams in the high roof space. Large shower cubicle. Mini fridge in the room. Clean bedding. Good security. Free on-site parking. Convenience stores nearby. Close to several eateries and a short walk to the city centre and local attractions.

We were on the front of the building and the traffic was too heavy and noisy to have a window open. (When closed, it was fine as there was triple glazing). The room was a little warm and unfortunately the air con wasn't working. The area seemed a little 'run down'. Few high level cobwebs - the cleaner needs a long handled duster! Shower head was a little scaled up.
