We only stayed overnight to be near to Folkestone tunnel for travel to France, so this was perfect for our needs. The bar downstairs and restaurant were an added bonus, though we arrived late so did not make use of them. I had medication in a cooler bag and needed to put this in a fridge overnight and refreeze by cooler blocks. Unfortunately, they were not able to accommodate this as we needed to leave at 6am the next morning and staff would not be in until 7.30 to retrieve them from the fridge and freezer. The staff did put them in the fridge/freezer until 11.30 pm that night (when they went off duty) and then supplied me with a large bag of extra ice for my cooler bag to help for the long journey on the French side. Glad to say we arrived in the South of France with my medication perfectly cool. Impressed by how helpful and pleasant the staff were.

Helpful check in chap. Room clean. Fresh linen on the bed but no pillow protectors. Hairs on the bed sheet and pillow under the pillow case. Bed quite hard but that suits some people. I have a bad back so it wasn't ideal for me. Very good fan in the room, good hair dryer and the shower was good. TV huge, some channels not available. Good selection of tea and coffee available. Breakfast was only full English but it was fine. The egg yolk was runny which was to my liking. Plenty of juice and coffee. It was good to have the parking.

Would have preferred not to have somebody else's hair in my bed.

Staff were very friendly, welcoming and obliging. Room was light, airy and had everything we needed. Bathroom was modern and toiletries were provided & replenished. Room had coffee, tea, bottled water and kettle to make your own drinks. Beds comfortable. Brakfast was good value @ £10 - simple & just what was needed.

As the hotel was on the High Street, there was a bit of noise at night, however the bar downstairs closed promptly @ 11pm so no additional noise was created. Sometimes members of the public congregated outside and used raised voices into the night.

Lovely location and, as we stayed on a Monday, it was very quiet. The staff at check in were lovely, very helpful and chatty. The room was a decent size for our family of 4, tea/coffee making facilities in the room also very welcome! Only 10mins east drive to the Channel Tunnel. Hythe is a lovely village with lots of great places to eat (we highly recommend the Thai restaurant on the high street about a 3min stroll from the hotel).

The bathroom was a bit tired & the shower wasn’t the best but adequate for a one night stay before getting the Channel Tunnel

The hotel was easy to find, however if you have a car go round the back as the parking is at the back of the hotel. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, they showed us exactly where to go and what to do to gain access to the hotel after hours. The rooms were very spacious, clean and well presented. We had a very pleasant and comfortable night.

The only problem we had was the shower, it was very low pressure. I’m glad I didn’t need to wash my hair! We also didn’t have any hot water on the first day. Everything else was perfect.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past when visiting friends in Hythe. It is the most economic hotel that I have found in Hythe offering a bathtub, and a reasonable degree of comfort. I was in a room called 'Hythe' this time, and probably the best room allocated to me so far. There is free parking, which is normally available, but if it is full, there is no alternative, as far as I know. The staff are helpful and obliging. Help is offered with taking your suitcase etc upstairs, and if you can find anybody in the morning, help is given then also. Breakfast is usually offered in the morning, but at extra charge, which is quite expensive. As I have normally eaten well the day before, and on occasions breakfast has not been available, I normally take my own packed breakfast to be on the safe side.

Consistency in the provision of breakfast. It is an older building, and there are several odd stairs as you navigate around the building, which you need to keep an eye out for. There is no lift available. There can be noise from the bars on the ground floor, but this disappears by 10.30pm.

The host was very helpful and pleasant. The hotel and room were nicely decorated with a contemporary style, very clean and bright. Bed was comfortable with crisp linen. There were generous tea and coffee facilities in the room. The bar/pub and restaurant were traditional and filled with very friendly locals.

This isn't so much a dislike but the building is the better part of 300 years old and disability access standards would be impossible to meet. There are several flights of stairs and steps to navigate to get to the rooms. No elevator is available.

Stayed here before a trip to Disneyland. Location was ideal for easily accessing Le Shuttle. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had the family room and it was perfect for the short stay we had.

The carpark was exceptionally small, however a member of staff did move his car for us so we could fit in. The family room is directly above the pub downstairs, so we had a lot of bass sound from the music vibrating through the room which wasn’t ideal with two children and the need for an early morning, however that being said, the music stopped at 11o’clock so it wasn’t the end of the world!

We loved the staff especially the lady who is married to the chef, sorry we never got your name. You are amazing and made our stay. The rooms are large and clean with comfy bed. All you need really in perfect location. We ate in the pub, lovely homemade burger and we ate in the restaurant Nepalese which was incredible. The cocktails are to die for. Overall we had a great time, really cheered me up as having bit of a bad time at the moment with illness. We were made to feel so welcome by all staff and locals, we had such a laugh, thank you.

The weather but what can you do.lol

The building is lovely, as it's Hythe. Half is a pub and half is a fab Nepalese restaurant. We were over the bar and there was a faint sound vibe, so if you are sensitive ask to be over the restaurant. We managed a cheeky nap in the afternoon so it totally didn't bother us and it was Saturday. But the pub closed at eleven and Hythe is quiet after that. Loads of hot water and a bath!!!! The restaurant is where you have breakfast, w didn't buy dinner was excellent.
