Staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms are decorated lovely and cosy. it's spotlessly clean. Had a lovely night sleep compfy bed. The showers are hot, and the bathroom is lovely. There are plenty of towels and complementary soapes and shampoo to use if needed. There's fans available in the passage way to take if needed. There is a hairdryer, coffee, and tea facilities in the room. Board games on the landing and iron ironing board faiplay they thought of everything. Well done! Would definitely stay again.

Just some small things the Car park very small. Stairs to rooms are very steep so if you have limited mobility for steps or stairs don't think this place is right for you there no lift. Code wasn't working so I had to go in the bar to get help, and a different code was given by the barmaid. She did take us to the room and told us that the code she gave us works all the time where the others don't she was so very helpful. I'm just wondering if we had got there late after closing don't know what would have happened. So think they need to rethink or sort the access codes to rooms.

Staff were very nice and the patrons at the pub downstairs were were friendly and respectful. The property seems to have been recently renovated, and the decor was very tasteful. The rooms and pub were spotlessly clean. Parking was free and no problem at all. The breakfast service was generous and freshly made, much better than the buffet style options you sometimes see. There was no gluten free bread, but the kind and friendly staff made sure that all diners were well catered for.

The pub (very bizarrely) apparently has a policy of not calling last orders, and therefore declined when we asked to buy a second (and final) small glass of wine at 10:20pm. This was extremely confusing as we were quiet and respectful and were clear that we just wanted to take the glass to our room as a nightcap after a very long day. It meant that the evening fell a bit flat on our one night holiday away, which was somewhat disappointing. Like many older pubs, the rooms are upstairs and there are some uneven floors etc which could be a tripping hazard. This was no problem for us, but might be for some.

Food was outstanding! They offered a good choice of breakfast and even had cocktails if you were feeling adventurous. The whole property was very clean and the locals were all so friendly and welcoming. Great outside seating area and small car park. 24/7 access to the room.

(Room 4) The room was very tiny and with 1 small window, covered partly by the headboard of the bed, it was very dark. The headboard itself was uncomfortable, not sure if it was put on upside down?! The bar maid on the first night was VERY grumpy! (All other staff were amazing).

We both loved the friendly people and staff. We also loved the quirkiness of the place. It was just perfect. The fan in the room was much appreciated too. Perfect breakfast.cooked just right and good bacon 😆. (Many places have cheap thin stuff frazzled to death.) The room was little but had all We needed or wanted. Near to the ferry. We are looking foward to staying on our way back from watching F1 in Spa.

Actually there was nothing we didn't like. 😊

Very clean, well equipped room, comfortable bed, nice furniture, very helpful and kind staff and delicious breakfast! Room was cozy and warm so it was perfect to relax in after a long day of sightseeing!

on Wednesday and Thursday night you can hear the pub music till late at night, you can still sleep through it though. For me kinda problematic was only being able to reach the staff through the pub where the guests were there drinking already.. Asking for toilet paper in that scenario was a bit embarrassing

The owner gave us a nice welcome, the room was clean and a good size for us, the breakfast was exceptional and the little pub of the property was very nice and friendly as well, it was perfect for a chill evening/ night after a long day. They even brought out some cheesecake late in the evening on request, because I was craving something sweet. Exceptional service!

As it says in the listing there is no elevator and the steps are very narrow, but we managed, even with a big suitcase.

We could pick our breakfast from a full menu, not just a continental breakfast. The pub/Inn is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of a quaint old Mill pond, city park, and grocery market store. Loved the quirky windy stairs up to the bedrooms. Typical of old Inn's, the room are small, but very clean with modern updated bathroom. The pub was mostly locals, enjoying a pint and watching the soccer game. So fun to be a part of a usual English village. The manager took care of all our needs, calling the local taxi for us to setup a morning pickup to get the the boat docks to meet our cruise boat.

The location is a bit further from the boat docks than I was expecting.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating even to the point of moving a car for me to park our trailer tent and car. Thank you, much appreciated. Food was lovely as was the breakfast. Our 2nd visit for an overnighter before catching the ferry back home to Spain. I would definitely recommend for a stop over. Thank you.

The team were very kind and welcoming. The location of the property was ideal. The parking was free on site, and breakfast was tasty. For the price, the room was good.

There was very little airflow in the room. As we were right over the kitchen, our room smelt of fish and chips most of the stay because we had to keep our one window open. The bed was fine, but the pillows are very thin and soft. It was hard to stay comfortable on them.

The room was very nice and the whole facility including the pub remodeled during covid. The real gem were the staff and very friendly local people in the pub. We had dinner there the night we arrived and a gentleman we made friends with had the cook come out of the kitchen and commit to cook my husband a beef pie because that is what he was hoping to have (it was not listed on the menu). The food was delicious and service great. Breakfast was also exceptional the next morning, cooked to order. The bed was comfy and room quiet even though over the pub. There was a nice patio outside to sit if desired and parking available. It had everything we needed.

Not a thing, everything was excellent and I would choose to stay there again!
