On all of our travels we have rarely been in a ‚perfect‘ accommodation. Heathwood deserves that rating. Its location on a steep hillside offers beautiful views from the room. The terraced garden is gorgeous to look at. The room itself was spacious and perfectly equipped. Thought had been given to each and every detail. Two partial bathrooms served us very well to. One contained a modern shower with all sorts of options and a dressing area, the other side had the WC and sink unit in it. Room and bathrooms were spotless. Lots of good advice from owners and in a folder in the room. You could even order some room service or a picnic basket for an outing. Breakfast freshly prepared to order, you have to hand in the order the evening before. Delicious and nicely presented.

The steep stairs from the parking to the house were a bit harsh on our knees. But the stairs were mentiined in the description of the property, so we knew what to expect. I personally would have appreciated an option of fresh fruit at breakfast.

Quiet location at the top of a hill so views were excellent,. The room came with walk in shower with several different modes including a sauna and radio. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Would definately stay there again and recommend it to anyone.. Also very close to Dover Priory train station about 4 min walk

It was all good for me but my partner doesn't really like hills so if anything that would be the only downside for people that aren't as fit or young..

It was just perfect. The room was very big with a large window and really nice views. The shower was amazing and the bed one of the most comfortable I've ever tried. Everything was very clean when we arrived. We were given different breakfast options and we chose the full English, it was delicious and the views, once more, were amazing. The hosts were lovely and very friendly since we arrived. I will definitely recommend Heathwood to anyone who wants to visit Dover, and I'll come back if I get the chance.

Great, charming B&B with wonderful friendly hosts and a great breakfast. Suite was very clean, modern and location was great, a very short walk from Dover Priory train station

Would not be a good place to stay if you have mobility issues due to steep hill and stairs but this was no issue for us. The view at breakfast more than made up for any hills or steps up anyway!

We had an apartment with a small kitchen, microwave, fridge, sink, kettle, and some dishes and silverware. The bedroom was large with a king bed. There was a toilet and sink in one room and a shower, including a sauna, in a separate room. It was very nice and quiet. There was on-site parking. There are several steps from the parking area to the apartment. Breakfast was served in the adjoining part of the building up some stairs. The breakfast was really good. It included cereal, granola, yogurt, and juice. Additionally, there was a hot breakfast up to a full breakfast. We had mushrooms, tomato, eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast. It was perfectly cooked both mornings we were there. Breakfast was served in a small glass porch area with a nice view. The hosts live on site and were very helpful. It was one of the nicest places we stayed in England. It was a good location near the city center area. We drove to the city center, but it would only be a 20 to 15 minute walk.

There was nothing that we did not like about the property. We would stay there again, if the opportunity arose.

The room was lovely and cosy ,the owners were exceptionally lovely and helpfull they made you feel welcolme stopped to chat , bed was memory foam very comfortable, good choice of condiments VERY clean and lovely big walk in shower , out of the way of the other houses so very quiet would definitely come back £243 for 2 nights including breakfasts , good value for money. Breakfast was the best I've had in a while all came out hot wasn't cheap sausages or beans eggs was runny just how I like it and bacon cooked perfectly .

Mum struggled a bit with the steps outside but we knew that before comming, they are well lit at night.

The room was very cute and clean! The house is located on a little hill with a great view. It's a 10-15 min walk into town. The hosts were super nice and accommodating. We even got some vegan breakfast options which we very much appreciated. I would totally recommend this place!

This was our first time staying at a B&B, and to be honest, they left the bar too high. It's up to date technology wise, and we found that not having to carry around a key was best, as sometimes it can get lost. It has parking, which was great because it seems that everyone has a car these days, so parking is difficult. The views are beautiful, and the location lets you get around Kent easily.

The only issue we had is that being so high up we really couldn't go out at night for a walk, is not really a problem as we got back quite tired from walking during the day, but if you like to walk at night it might be an issue.

excellent breakfast, warm hospitality by Margaret and Phil, we really apprecaied their advice on where to go and when to visit the museum, the cliffs and the castle. The view from the room was nice. The room had all amenties we needed, the temperarure was fine, they also offered fresh milk and drinkable water for free.

If you don't use a car in the night , it would be better to use a flashlight when walking down hill to the centre or coming back , as the final part of the road is a bit steep and dark. The private part in the property, however, is properly lit, no need for the flashlight there.

Our room had bed, living area, kitchenette with frig, microwave, dishes etc. We stayed 3 nights so we could eat our leftover meals! We could make tea/coffee. Breakfast was amazingly good, with a nice view from the dining room. Greatly located above city center. Hosts were so nice & helpful. We rented a car to go to Canterbury etc.and there was parking there. We loved everything about it, location great for city center.Dover Museum is free and worth the visit. Castle closed except for weekends in winter.

Just a caution for anyone with walking issues, it is up a hill.
