The central location is great if you want the buzz of the harbour and we had a partial harbour view from one of the windows. The breakfast in the restaurant was lovely with nice views over the harbour. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We stayed in the family room which was good set up with a separate room. The accommodation is very stylish with comfy beds but quite compact so probably only suitable for a 1 or 2 night stay.

The central location can be noisy when sleeping with the windows open in warm weather. The room did get hot, however we had a fan in the room and we saw that ear plugs are provided if needed!

Warm welcome and friendly, knowledgeable team throughout. Loved the room - brick walls, cool and comfy bed, great shower, and the harbour/sea view (from Valentine) was the icing on the cake. Perfect weather to make the most of the restaurant, semi-al fresco by the open glass doors - enjoyed the food (especially local cod), cocktails and relaxed buzz on a Saturday night. Only a few minutes walk to the beach for a swim before generous breakfast - good coffee and everything delicious, including nice surprises like padron peppers. Headed off for a walk along the harbour arm, crazy golf then to Sandgate and back with art installations dotted along the way. Loved Rocksalt so much, we came back for lunch before heading home. 24 hours felt like a holiday - thank you.

The lack of sea view in the room was disappointing. It’s not completely clear when you book that there are some rooms with no sea view. La la room didn’t have a sea view. The room was an excellent (but a little small), bed really comfortable, shower excellent. Sound proofing wasn’t great through door - u could hear everyone coming and going which wakes you up. La la room is also below the family room and when kids are running around although you can’t hear voices it does sound like elephants on the wooden floors.

Room was beautifully decorated and had lovely bedding. There was plenty of tea and coffee pods supplied and a mini fridge for the milk. We had to leave before the cooked breakfast to catch the shuttle so they left a hamper of muesli and yoghurt and fresh fruit with orange juice in chilled bags outside our door overnight. Bathroom was small but again beautifully decorated. All was spotlessly clean and staff were very helpful. Parking is close by and free from 6pm- 8am, otherwise payable. Staff were all helpful and friendly.

Rocksalt Rooms are great for a short stay. We liked the decor and the comfort of the bed. The bathroom was clean and adequate for our needs. Bath robes were an added bonus.

Coffee machine instructions would have been useful. We weren't able to brew coffee at all. The toilet roll kept slipping off its holder. Suggest a different holder or securing the current one at an angle. Sadly, the breakfast hamper lacked lacto-free, non-acidic food that I could eat.

Great location, super easy check-in, comfy bed, spacious enough for two of us.

Find a 10am check out a little bit early, also this is no slight on the roomsm but we had lunch at the restaurant, and whilst the food was delicious, the lunch it took just under two hours for our mains to arrive, and then for Breakfast this took over an hour despite ordering just granola and some smoked salmon, both of which are pretty quick to cook, and the restaurant was not that busy. As it was only a short weekend stay, we felt this ate into our leisure time slightly.

Tiny thimble like cups (give us mugs!) and huge kettle that can't be filled from tap, absolutely tiny sink and very tight bathroom which doesn't drain well when using shower. Nowhere to put clothes, not one drawer or storage, just two hangers. No mini fridge and no chair or desk. This is a bed in a room. I felt a lack of privacy too due to so many windows with people walking by and houses closeby opposite.

Very central location. Access to the Restaurant and bar were great. Staff extremely friendly and dinner in the bar and breakfast were excellent. We thought it was very good value for money

The room was rather small but very comfortable. The bathroom was really too small. The shower soaked much of the floor. It was quite noisy at night from the local area and our room sadly had no view.

We have stayed s couple of times in the Rocksalt rooms. They get us right where we want to be. Parking close by. Comfy beds and quiet. We didnt eat in restaurant this time, as I now have shellfish allergy! Boo! Breakfasy]t was excellent, nice hog and granola followed by s nice cooked selection. Coffee is AMAZING. Staff are very jolly and have time for a natter. Room was small, but we knew that when we booked. Shower is more of a wet room and everywhere gets soaked. Ideal for 2 nights. Great walks locally and beach/old train track walk was great after brekky

Ideal for a simple overnight stay after eating (and drinking!) in the restaurant. Booking into the room was easy and the staff incredibly pleasant and helpful-escorting us to the room and explaining the facilities. Bed was comfortable and there was a small fridge which was handy. Stayed in a Sea view room.

Not a room to while away the hours. It is not a hotel-and no comfy chairs to sit on if you wanted to watch T.V.
